## Hadith #1215

**Book:** Funerals (Al-Janaa'iz) | **Narrator(s):** Umm Atiyyah Ansariyah | **Grade:** Sahih

Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) came to us when his daughter died and said, “Wash her thrice or five times or more, if you see it necessary, with water and Sidr and then apply camphor or some camphor at the end; and when you finish, notify me.” So when we finished it, we informed him and he gave us his waist-sheet and told us to shroud the dead body in it.

**Book:** Obligatory Charity Tax (Zakat) | **Narrator(s):** Umm Atiyyah Ansariyah | **Grade:** Sahih

The Prophet (ﷺ) went to `Aisha and asked her whether she had something (to eat). She replied that she had nothing except the mutton (piece) which Nusaiba (Um ‘Atiyya) had sent to us (Barira) in charity.” The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “It has reached its place and now it is not a thing of charity but a gift for us.”
