Abu Huraira came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and asked him (for a share from the Khaibar booty). On that, one of the sons of Sa`id bin Al-`As said to him, “O Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ)! Do not give him.” Abu Huraira then said (to the Prophet (ﷺ) ) “This is the murderer of Ibn Qauqal.” Sa`id’s son said, “How strange! A guinea pig coming from Qadum Ad-Dan!”
“On the day of Khaibar, the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) prohibited every predator possessing canines, and the Mujath-thamah, and the domestic donkey.” He said: There are narrations on this topic from ‘Ali, Jabir, Al-Bara’, Ibn Abi Awfa, Anas, Al-‘Irbad bin Sariyah, Abu Tha’labah, Ibn ‘Umar and Abu Sa’eed. This Hadith is Hasan Sahih. ‘Abdul-‘Aziz bin Muhammad and others reported this Hadith from Muhammad bin ‘Amr, and they only mentioned one phrase: “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) prohibited every predator possessing canines.”
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “If one of you were to sit on a live coal that burns him, that would be better for him than if he were to sit on a grave.”
‘The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) commanded us to help fulfill the oath.”
“We said: ‘O Messenger of Allah(ﷺ), (we know) this (greeting of) Salam, but what does seeking permission to enter mean?’ He said: ‘It means a man saying SubhanAllah, and Allahu Akbar and Al Hamdulillah, and clearing his throat, announcing his arrival to the people in the house.”
