Um Al-`Ala’, an Ansari woman who gave the pledge of allegiance to the Prophet (ﷺ) said to me, “The emigrants were distributed amongst us by drawing lots and we got in our share `Uthman bin Maz’un. We made him stay with us in our house. Then he suffered from a disease which proved fatal when he died and was given a bath and was shrouded in his clothes, Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) came I said, ‘May Allah be merciful to you, O Abu As-Sa’ib! I testify that Allah has honored you’. The Prophet (ﷺ) said, ‘How do you know that Allah has honored him?’ I replied, ‘O Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ)! Let my father be sacrificed for you! On whom else shall Allah bestow His honor?’ The Prophet (ﷺ) said, ‘No doubt, death came to him. By Allah, I too wish him good, but by Allah, I do not know what Allah will do with me though I am Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ). ‘ By Allah, I never attested the piety of anyone after that.” Al-Laith also narrated as above.
Zaid bin Thabit said, “When the Qur’an was compiled from various written manuscripts, one of the Verses of Surat Al-Ahzab was missing which I used to hear Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) reciting. I could not find it except with Khuza`ima bin Thabjt Al-Ansari, whose witness Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) regarded as equal to the witness of two men. And the Verse was:– “Among the believers are men who have been true to what they covenanted with Allah.” (33.23)

Um Al-`Ala an Ansari woman who had given the Pledge of allegiance to Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said, “`Uthman bin Maz’un came in our share when the Ansars drew lots to distribute the emigrants (to dwell) among themselves, He became sick and we looked after (nursed) him till he died. Then we shrouded him in his clothes. Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) came to us, I (addressing the dead body) said, “May Allah’s Mercy be on you, O Aba As-Sa’ib! I testify that Allah has honored you.” The Prophet (ﷺ) said, ‘How do you know that?’ I replied, ‘I do not know, by Allah.’ He said, ‘As for him, death has come to him and I wish him all good from Allah. By Allah, though I am Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ), I neither know what will happen to me, nor to you.'” Um Al-`Ala said, “By Allah, I will never attest the righteousness of anybody after that.” She added, “Later I saw in a dream, a flowing spring for `Uthman. So I went to Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) and mentioned that to him. He said, ‘That is (the symbol of) his good deeds (the reward for) which is going on for him.’ “
“She is informing you about her companion who has committed illegal sexual intercourse with her.” Abu Jamra said, “I was an interpreter between Ibn ‘Abbas and the people.” Some people said, “A ruler should have two interpreters.”
“I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: ‘Perform Wudu’ from that which has been touched by fire.'”
“When any one of you sees a funeral and is not walking with it, let him stand up until it has passed him, or until (the body) is placed (in the grave) before if passes him.”
“Dig graves and dig them well, and bury two or three (together), and put in first the one who knew the Qur’an most.”
“Jundab said: ‘So and so told me that the Messenger of Allah said: The slain will bring his killer on the Day of Resurrection and will say: Ask him why he killed me. He will say: I killed him defending the kingdom of so and so.'” Jundab said: “So be careful.'”
“The Messenger of Allah said: “If you sell fruits to your brother then the crop fails, it is not permissible for you it takes anything from him. Why would you take the wealth of your brother unlawfully?”‘
The Prophet (ﷺ) forbade the sale of fruits on the tree for fruits by measure, and sale of grapes for raisins by measure, and sale of harvest for wheat by measure.
When he was sitting with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and a Jew was also with him, a funeral passed by him. He (the Jew) asked (Him): Muhammad, does this funeral speak? The Prophet (ﷺ) said: Allah has more knowledge. The Jew said: It speaks. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Whatever the people of the Book tell you, do not verify them, nor falsify them, but say: We believe in Allah and His Apostle. If it is false, do not confirm it, and if it is right, do not falsify it.
The Muslims met a man with some sheep of his. He said: Peace be upon you. But they killed him and took those few sheep. Thereupon the following Qur’anic verse was revealed: “…And say to anyone who offers you a salutation: Thou art none of believer, coveting the perishable good of this life.” meaning these few sheep.
Who said that the Messenger of Allah said: “Jibril came to me and ordered me to order my Companions to raise their voices with the Ihlal, or; the Talbiyah.”
“When Allah wants good for his slave, He hastens his punishment in the world. And when He wants bad for His slave, He withholds his sins from him until he appears before Him on the Day of Judgement.” And with this (same) chain, (it was reported) from the Prophet (ﷺ) who said: “Indeed greater reward comes with greater trial. And indeed, when Allah loves a people He subjects them to trials, so whoever is content, then for him is pleasure, and whoever is discontent, then for him is wrath.”
his grandfather said: “The Messenger of Allah said: ‘You should marry virgins, for their mouths are sweeter, their wombs are more prolific and they are satisfied with less.’”
