## Hadith #3187

**Book:** Beginning of Creation | **Narrator(s):** Sufyan bin 'Abdul Malik سفيان بن عبد الملك المروزي | **Grade:** Sahih

That he heard Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) saying, “If somebody keeps a dog that is neither used for farm work nor for guarding the livestock, he will lose one Qirat (of the reward) of his good deeds everyday.”

Would I enter Paradise if I say the obligatory prayers and deny myself that which is forbidden and treat that as lawful what has been made permissible (by the Shari’ah)? The Prophet (ﷺ) replied in the affirmative.
