“I saw the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) trickle water into his hand until it started to drip from his hand, three times.”
It was narrated from ‘Aishah that if the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) wanted to sleep while he was Junub, he would perform Wudu’, and if he wanted to eat he would wash his hands.
(Another chain) from Abu Sa’eed Al-Khudri, from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) with a similar report.
“I said: ‘I am going to watch how the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) prays.’ So I watched him and he stood and said the takbir, and raised his hands until they were in the level with his ears, then he placed his right hand over his left hand, wrist and lower forearm. When he wanted to bow he raised his hands likewise. Then he prostrated and placed his hands in level with his ears. Then he sat up and placed his left leg under him; he put his left hand on his left thigh and knee, and he put the edge of his right elbow on his right thigh, then he held two of his fingers together and made a circle, and raised his forefinger, and I saw him moving it and supplicating with it.”
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) set out from Makkah to Al-Madinah, fearing nothing but the Lord of the worlds, and praying two rak’ahs.
“By the One in Whose Hand is my soul. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) did not pass away until most of his prayers were offered sitting down, except for the obligatory prayers, and the dearest of actions to him were those which were done persistently, even if they were few.”
the Messenger of Allah set out for Makkah and was in Ihram. When they were in Ar-Rawha, they saw a wounded onager. Mention of that was made to the messenger of Allah and he said: “Leave it, for soon its owner will come.” Then Al-Bahzi, who was its owner, came to the Messenger of Allah, it is up to you what you want to do with this onager.” The Messenger of Allah Commanded Abu Bakr to share it out among the company then he moved on, and when he was in Al-Uthayah, between Ar-Ruwaythah and Al-Arj, They was a gazelle sleeping in the Shade with an arrow in it. It was said that the Messenger of Allah told a man to stand by it and not let anyone disturb it until everyone had passed by.”
That a man in Ihram was thrown by his she-camel and his neck was broken. It was said that he had died, so the Prophet said: “Wash him with water and lotus leaves, and shroud him in two cloths.” Then he said: “Do not put any perfume on him for he will be raised on the Day of Resurrection reciting the Talbiyah.” Shubah said: “Ten years later, I asked him (the narrator Abu Bishr) anbut that, and he narrated the Hadith as he had the first time, except that he said: ‘And do not cover his face and head.'”.
“I wished that I had asked the Messenger of Allah for permission as Sawdha did, so that I could pray Fajir in Mina before the people came. Sawdah was heavyset woman, so she asked the Messenger of Allah for permission, and he gave her permission to pray Fajir in Mina and stone the before the people came.'”
It was narrated from Samurah bin Jundab that the Prophet forbade celibacy. Abu Abdur-Rahman said: Qatadah is more reliable and better preserves narrations than Ash’ath but the hadith of Ash’ath (here) appears to be the correct one. Allah, Most High, knows best.
“Aflah, the brother of Abu Al-Qu’ais, who was my paternal uncle through breast-feeding, used to ask permission to enter upon me, and I refused to let him in until the Messenger of Allah came, and I told him about that. He said: ‘Let him in, for he is your paternal uncle.'” ‘Aishah said: “That was after the (Verse of) Hijab had been revealed.”
Some chicken was brought to Abu Musa and a man moved away from the people. He said: “What is the matter with you?” He said: “I saw it eating something that I consider filthy, and I swore I would not eat it.” Abu Musa said: “Come and eat, for I saw the Messenger of Allah eating it.” And he told him to offer an expiation for his vow (Kafarat Al-Yamin)
the Messenger of Allah offered the sacrifice obn the Day of Sacrifice in Al-Madinah. He said: “if he did not offer the Nahr (sacrifice a camel) he would have offered Dhabihah (Sacrificed a sheep) at the prayer place.”
“We were traveling with the Messenger of Allah and I was riding a camel. The Messenger of Allah said to me: ‘Will you sell it to me for such and such, may Allah forgive you?’, I said, I said, ‘Yes, it is yours, O Prophet of Allah.’ He said: ‘Will you sell it to me for such and such, may Allah forgive your?’ I said: ‘Yes, it is yours, O Prophet of “Allah.’ He said: ‘Will you sell it to me for such and such, may Allah forgives you?’ I said: ‘Yes, it is yours. ”'(One of the narrators) Abu Nadrah said: “This became a phrase that was used by the Muslims: ‘Do such and such, may Allah forgive you.
“The hand of a thief would not be cut off during the time of the Messenger of Allah except for the value of a shield, which in those days was a Dinar.” (Daif)
“Fatimah bint Hubairah came to the Messenger of Allah has a chain of fire in her hand?’ Then he went out, without sitting down. Fatimah sent the chain to the market and sold it, and she bought a slave with the money, and set him free. He was told of that and he said: ‘Praise be to Allah, Who has saved Fatimah from the Fire.'”
“The Messenger of Allah entered upon me, and I had put up a curtain on which there were images. When he saw it, his face changed color, then he tore it down with his hand and said: ‘The people who will be most severely punished on the Day of Resurrection will be those who try to imitate the creation of Allah.'”
“The Messenger of Allah forbade us to soak two things together when one is more potent than the other. I asked him about Fadikh (a drink made from fresh dates cut open) and he forbade it. He disliked the extra bit on Al-Busr, fearing that that might make it two things, so we used to cut it off.”
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) as saying: None of you must fast on Friday unless he fasts the day before or the day after.
‘Umar bin Al Khattab said “During the battle of Badr, the Prophet (ﷺ) took ransom”. Thereupon Allaah Most High sent down “It is not fitting for an Apostle that he should have prisoners of war until he hath thoroughly subdued the land. You look on the temporal goods of this world, but Allaah looketh to the Hereafter”. And Allaah is exalted in might and Wise. Had it not been for a previous ordainment from Allaah, a severe penalty would have reached you for the (ransom) that you took. Allaah then made the spoils of war lawful. Abu Dawud said “I heard that Ahmad bin Hanbal was asked about the name of Abu Nuh”. He said “What will you do with his name? His name is a bad one. Abu Dawud said “the name of Abu Nuh is Qurad. What is correct is that his name is ‘Abd Al Rahman bin Ghazwan.
the Messenger of Allah said: “Do not fast on Saturday except for what has been made obligatory upon you (by Allah). If one of you does not find but a grape peal or a tree’s twig, then let him chew it.”
“The Messenger of Allah married Maimunah while he was Halal, and he stayed with her while he was Halal, and I was the messenger between the two of them.”
Zainab said: “And I heard my mother, Umm Salamah said: ‘A woman came to the Messenger of Allah and she said: “O Messenger of Allah! My daughter’s husband died, and she is suffering from an eye ailment, so can she use Kohl?” the Messenger of Allah said: “No” two or three time. Each time (she asked) he said “no.” Then he said: “It is just a mater of four months and ten (days). During Jahliyyah one of you would throw a clump of camel dung when one year passed.”
“A man came to ‘Abdullah and said: ‘A story teller has said that a smoke will appear from the earth, taking the hearing of disbelievers and manifesting as a cold for the believers.'” He became angry, and since he was reclining, he sat up then said: ‘When one of you is asked about something he knows, then let him speak accordingly’ – Mansur (one of the narrators) narrated it as: “Then let him inform of it” – “And when asked about what he does not know, then let him say: “Allah knows best.” For indeed, it is part of a man’s knowledge, that when he is asked about something he does not know, he says: “Allah knows best.” For verily Allah, Most High said to His Prophet: Say: “No wage do I ask of you for this, nor am I one of the pretenders (38:86).” When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) saw that the Quraish were behaving stubbornly with him, he said: “O Allah! Assist me against them with seven (years of famine) like the seven of Yusuf.” So He punished them with drought making everything barren, until they ate skins and carcasses” – one of them said: “bones.” He said: ‘And it appeared that smoke was coming out of the earth. So Abu Sufyan came to him and said: “Verily your people are being destroyed, so supplicate to Allah for them.” He said: “So this is about His saying: ‘The Day when the sky will bring forth a visible smoke, covering the people, this is a painful torment (44:10 & 11).'” Mansur narrated it as: “So this is about His saying: Our Lord! Remove the torment from us, really we shall become believers (44:12).” – “So shall the punishment be removed from them in the Hereafter? Al-Batshah (humiliated defeat in Badr), Al-Lizam (disbeliever captives from Badr), the smoke,” – one of them said: “The moon” the other said: “The Romans have all passed.”
that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “There is no believer except that he has two doors: A door through which his deeds ascend, and a door through which his sustenance descends. So when he dies they weep for him. That is the meaning of the saying of Allah, the Mighty and Sublime: And the heavens and the earth wept not for them, nor were they given respite (44:29).”
“O Allah grant me Your love and the love of those whose love will benefit me with You. O Allah, whatever you have provided me of that which I love, then make it strength for me for that which You love. O Allah, and what you have kept from me of that which I love, then make it for me a period of rest in that which You love. (Allāhummarzuqnī ḥubbuka, wa ḥubba man yanfa`unī ḥubbuhū `indak. Allāhumma mā razaqtanī mimmā uḥibbu faj`alhu quwwatan lī fīmā tuḥibb. Allāhumma wa mā zawaita `annī mimmā uḥibbu faj`alhu farāghan lī fīmā tuḥibb). “
