Sunan al-Nasa'i — The Book of Divorce

“Go to Subai’ah bint Al-Harith Al-Aslamiyyah, and ask her about the ruling of the Messenger of Allah concerning her pregnancy.” He said: “So ‘Umar bin ‘Abdullah went to her and asked her. She told him that she was married to Sa’d bin Khawlah, who was one of the Companions of the Messenger of Allah who had been present at Badr. He died during the Farewell Pilgrimage, and she gave birth before four months and ten days had passed since her husband’s death. When her Nifas ended, Abu As-Sanabil -a man from Banu ‘Abd Ad-Dar- went to her and saw that she had adorned herself. He said: ‘Perhaps you want to get married before four months and ten days has passed?’ She said: ‘When I heard that from Abu As-Sanabil, I went to the Messenger of Allah and told him my story. The Messenger of Allah said: ‘It is permissible for you to marry when you gave birth.””

“When this verse- ‘And warn your tribe (O Muhammad) of near kindred’- was revealed, the Messenger of Allah said: ‘O Fatimah, daughter of Muhammad! O Safiyyah bint ‘Abdul-Muttalib! O Banu ‘Abdul-Muttalib! I cannot avail you anything before Allah; ask me for whatever you want of my wealth.'”

a Jew saw some jewelry on a girl, so he killed her with a rock. She was brought to the Prophet as she was breathing her last, and he said: “Did so and so kill you?” – Shu’bah (one of the narrators) gestured with his head, to show that she had gestured no. – He said: “Did so and so kill you?” – Shu’bah (one of the narrators) gestured with his head to show that she had gestured no. – He said: “Did so and so kill you?” – Shu’bah (one of the narrators) gestured with his head to show that she had gestured yes. – So the Messenger of Allah called for him, and killed him with two rocks.

the Messenger of Allah sent a detachment jof troops to some people of Khath’am, who sought to protect themselves by prostrating (to demonstrate that they were Muslims), but they were killed. The Messenger of Allah ruled that half the Diyah should be paid, and said: “I am innocent of any Muslim who (lives with) a Mushrik.’ Then the Messenger of Allah said: “Their fires should not be visible to one another.”‘

The Prophet (ﷺ) said: A section of my community will continue to fight for the right and overcome their opponents till the last of them fights with the Antichrist.

The Prophet (ﷺ) said: Recite Surah Ya-Sin over your dying men. This is the version of Ibn al-Ala’

Abu Hurairah narrated that a man came to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and said: I had a dream last night, and he then mentioned it. So Abu Bakr interpreted it. The Prophet (ﷺ) said: You are partly right and partly wrong. He then said: I adjure you, Messenger of Allah, may my father be sacrificed on you, do tell me the mistake I have committed. The Prophet (ﷺ) said: Do not adjure.

The Prophet (ﷺ) Said: The disputants should refrain from taking retaliation. The one who is nearer should forgive first and then the one who is next to him, even if (the one who forgives) were a woman. Abu Dawud said: I have been informed that forgiving by women in the case of murder is permissible if a woman were one of the heirs (of the slain). I have been told on the authority of Abu ‘Ubaid about the meaning of the word yanhajizu, that is, they should refrain from retaliation.

The tradition mentioned above has also been transmitted by Khalid with a different chain of narrators to the same effect.

The Caliphs are five: Abu Bakr, ‘Umar, ‘Uthman, ‘All and ‘Umar b. ‘Abd al-Aziz.

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Whoever sits in a sitting and engages in much empty, meaningless speech and then says before getting from that sitting of his: ‘Glory is to You, O Allah, and praise, I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship except You, I seek You forgiveness, and I repent to You, (Subḥānaka Allāhumma wa biḥamdika, ashhadu an lā ilāha illā anta, astaghfiruka wa atūbu ilaik)’ whatever occurred in that sitting would be forgiven to him.”

that whenever the Prophet (ﷺ) wanted to do a matter, he would say: “O Allah, make it good for me and choose for me. (Allāhumma khir lī wakhtar lī)”

Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) passed by a man in Makkah who was standing in the sun. He said: “What is this?” They said: “He vowed to fast and not to seek shade until night comes, and not to speak, and to remain standing.” He said: “Let him speak and seek shade and let him sit down, but let him complete his fast.”Another chain from Ibn ‘Abbas, from the Prophet (ﷺ), with similar wording. expiation for breaking an oath.”

The one who has the most concerns is the believer who is concerned about both his worldly affairs and his Hereafter.”‘ (Da’if)Abu ‘Abdullah said: “This Hadith is Gharib’ Isma’il, alone, has narrated it.”

“Whoever begins the Talbiyah for ‘Umrah from Baitul-Maqdis, will be forgiven.”
