Sunan al-Nasa'i — The Book of Zakah

“The Messenger of Allah said: ‘ A man will keep on asking until on the Day of Resurrection he will come without even a shared of skin on his face. “‘

The Prophet (ﷺ) said: Snuff up water freely unless you are fasting.

The Prophet (ﷺ) as saying: A man who cups and a man who gets himself cupped break their fast.

The Prophet (ﷺ) said: We forbade you to eat their meat for more than three days in order that you might have abundance; now Allah has produced abundance, so you may eat, store up and seek reward. Beware, these days are days of eating, drinking and remembrance of Allah, Most High.

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to stand up for a funeral until the corpse was placed in the grave. A learned Jew (once) passed him and said: This is how we do. The Prophet (ﷺ) sat down and said: Sit down and act differently from them.

Salah is near Khaibar.

The Prophet (ﷺ) said: The greatest war, the conquest of Constantinople and the coming forth of the Dajjal (Antichrist) will take place within a period of seven months.

the Prophet said: “It is not allowed for a man to look into the interior of a man’s house until he has been given permission, for if he looks, then he has entered. And one who leads people (in Salat) should not supplicate for himself alone with the exclusion of his congregation. If he does, then he has betrayed them. And one is not to stand for Salat while he has to urinate.”

The Messenger of Allah said: “The believer is not afflicted by the prick of a thorn or what is worse (or greater) than that, except that by it Allah raises him in rank and removes sin from him.”

The Messenger of Allah said: “Nothing afflicts the believer, whether fatigue, grief, disease – even a worry that concerns him – except that by it, Allah removes something from his bad deeds.”

“The Messenger of Allah would walk in front of the funeral, as did Abu Bakr, Umar and Uthman.”

That the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said to the people of weights and measures: “Indeed you have been entrusted with two matters that nations preceding you in the past were destroyed for.” We do not know this Hadith to be Marfu’ except through the narration of Husain bin Qais, and Husain bin Qais was graded weak in Hadith. This has been reported as Maquf narration from Ibn ‘Abbas with a Sahih chain of narration.

“The Prophet (ﷺ) passed by old man walking (while supported) between his two sons, so he said: ‘What is the matter with this one?’ They said: “O Messenger of Allah! He vowed to walk.’ He said: ‘Verily Allah is in no need of this person punishing himself.'” He said: “So he ordered him to ride.”

“Indeed among the worst of people to Allah, on the Day of Judgment, is the two faced person.”

“The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said: ‘Let one of you not take his brother’s staff, neither in play nor seriousness. Whoever took his brother’s staff, then let him return it to him.”‘

“Indeed in Paradise there is a tree under whose shade a rider can travel for one hundred years without stopping. Recite if you wish: And in shave extended. And water flowing constantly.”

The Messenger of Allah said: “The key to prayer is purification, its opening is to say Allahu Akbar and its closing is to say As-salamu ‘alaikum.”

“I used to cover three vessels for the Messenger of Allah at night: A vessel (of water) for his ablution, a vessel for his tooth stick and a vessel for his drink.”

The Prophet granted a concession to travelers: “If a traveler performed ablution and put on leather socks, then he performed a fresh ablution, he could wipe over the leather socks for three days and nights; the resident could do so for one day and one night.”

“Allahumma Antas-Salam wa minkas-salam tabarakta ya Dhal-jalali wal- ikram” (O Allah, You are As-Salam and from You is all peace, Blessed are You O Possessor of majesty and honour).”

“The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was forbidden to recite Qunut in Fajr.”

It was narrated from Ibn Abu Rafi’, from his father, from his grandfather, that the Prophet (ﷺ) killed a scorpion while he was praying.

“When you see a funeral (procession) stand up for it until it has passed by or it is placed on the ground.”

that a man among them who was called Khidam arranged a marriage for his daughter, and she did not like the marriage arranged by her father. She went to the Messenger of Allah and told him about that, and he annulled the marriage arranged by her father. Then she married Abu Lubabah bin Abdul-Mundhir.

the Messenger of Allah divorced Hafsah then took her back.

“A city-dweller should not sell for a Bedouin. Leave people to (engage in trade) and Allah will grant them provision through one another.”

“The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) forbade Gharar transactions. “

“I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: ‘Borrowed items are to be returned and an animal borrowed for milking is to be returned.’ ”

“I went out with Abu Sa’eed Az- Zuraqi, the Companion of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), to buy animals or sacrifice.” Yunus said: “Abu Sa’eed pointed to a ram that had some blackness around its ears and jaw, and was neither too big nor too small, and said to me: ‘Buy this one for them, as it seems to resemble the ram of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ).’”

“The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: ‘The strong believer is better and more beloved to Allah than the weak believer, although both are good. Strive for that which will benefit you, seek the help of Allah, and do not feel helpless. If anything befalls you, do not say, “if only I had done such and such” rather say “Qaddara Allahu wa ma sha’a fa’ala (Allah has decreed and whatever he wills, He does).” For (saying) ‘If’ opens (the door) to the deeds of Satan.'”

“The Messenger of Allah said: ‘Whoever loves Hasan and Husain, loves me; and whoever hates them, hates me.'”
