<text>“The Messenger of Allah said on the day of the conquest: ‘Allah made this land sacred the day He created the Heavens and the Earth, so it is sacred by the Decree of Allah until the day of Resurrection. Its thorny shrubs are not to be cut, or its game disturbed, or its lost property to be picked up, except by the one who will announce it publicly, or is its green grass to be uprooted or cut.’ Al-Abbas said: O Messenger of Allah! Except Ikhkhir.'” And he said something that meant: “Except Ikhkhir.”</text>

<text>“Mu`awiyah came on one of his pilgrimages and Sa`d entered upon him. They mentioned `Ali, and Mu`awiyah criticized him. Sa`d became angry and said: ‘Are you saying this of a man of whom I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: “If I am a person’s close friend, `Ali is also his close friend.” And I heard him say: “You are to me like Harun was to Musa, except that there will be no Prophet after me.” And I heard him say: “I will give the banner today to a man who loves Allah and His Messenger.”</text>
