“Can you show me how the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to perform Wudu’?” ‘Abdullah bin Zaid said: “Yes. He called for (water for) Wudu’ and poured some onto his right hand, washing his hands twice. Then he rinsed his mouth and nose three times, then washed his face three times, then he washed his hands twice, up to the elbows. Then he wiped his head with his hands, back and forth, starting at the front of his head and moving his hands to the nape of his neck, then bringing them back to the place he started. Then he washed his feet.”
“When the believing slave performs Wudu’ and rinses his mouth, his sins come out from his mouth. When he sniffs water into his nose and blows it out, his sins come from his nose. When he washes his face, his sins come out from his face, even from beneath his eyelashes. When he washes his hands, his sins come out from his hands, even from beneath his fingernails. When he wipes his head, his sins come out from his head, even from his ears. When washes his feet, his sins come from his feet, even from beneath his toenails. Then his walking to the Masjid and his Salah will earn extra merit for him.”
“I sent Al-Miqdad to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) to ask him about Madhi, and he said: ‘Perform Wudu’ and sprinkle water over your private part.'” Abu ‘Abdur-Rahman said: Makhramah (one of the narrators) did not hear anything from his father.
“The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) prayed Subh as soon as he was certain the dawn had appeared.”
“I saw the Prophet (ﷺ) delivering the Khutbah atop a she-camel and an Ethiopian was holding on to the camel’s reins.”
the Messenger of Allah was shrouded in three white Yemeni garments of cotton, among which was no shirt and no turban. It was mentioned to ‘Aishah that they said: “He was buried in two garments and a Burd made of Hibrah.” She said: “A Burd was brought, but they sent it back and did not shroud him in it.”
“Idolaters from the Quraish came to the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) quarreling about Al-Qadar. So this Ayah was revealed: “The day they will be dragged on their faces into the Fire (it will be said to them): “Taste you the touch of Hell.” Verily we have created all things with Qadar.
“If you were to rely upon Allah with the required reliance, then He would provide for you just as a bird is provided for, it goes out in the morning empty, and returns full.”
that the Prophet said: “When anyone of you has intercourse with his wife, let him say: Allahumma jannibnish-Shaitana wa jannibish-Shaitana ma razaqtani (O Allah, keep Satan away from me and keep Satan away from that with which You bless me).’ Then if they have a child, Allah will never allow Satan to gain control over him or he will never harm him.”
“And certainly, the Shayatin (devils) do inspire their friends (from mankind).” He said: “They used to say: ‘Whatever the Name of Allah has been mentioned over, do not eat it, and whatever the Name of Allah has not been mentioned over, eat it.’ Then Allah said: “Eat not of that over which Allah’s Name has not been pronounced.’”
“I came to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, we live in a land of the People of the Book and we eat from their vessels. And we live in a land (where there is) game, so I hunt with my bow and with my trained dog and with my untrained dog.’ The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: ‘As for what you say about living in a land of the People of the Book, do not eat from their vessels unless you can find no alternative. If you can fidn no alternative then wash them and eat from them. With regard to what you say about hunting, whatever you catch with your bow, say the Name of Allah over it and eat. Whatever you catch with your trained dog, say the Name of Allah over it and eat. But whatever you catch with your untrained dog, then catch it, slaughter it, then eat.’”
