62:1 ›
۞ یُسَبِّحُ لِلَّهِ مَا فِی ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَمَا فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ ٱلۡمَلِكِ ٱلۡقُدُّوسِ ٱلۡعَزِیزِ ٱلۡحَكِیمِ ۝١
Faridul Haque
All whatever is in the heavens and all whatever is in the earth proclaims the Purity of Allah, the King, the Most Pure, the Most Honourable, the Wise
yusabbiḥu lillahi mā fī l-samāwāti wamā fī l-arḍi l-maliki l-qudūsi l-ʿazīzi l-ḥakīm
62:2 ›
هُوَ ٱلَّذِی بَعَثَ فِی ٱلۡأُمِّیِّـۧنَ رَسُولࣰا مِّنۡهُمۡ یَتۡلُوا۟ عَلَیۡهِمۡ ءَایَـٰتِهِۦ وَیُزَكِّیهِمۡ وَیُعَلِّمُهُمُ ٱلۡكِتَـٰبَ وَٱلۡحِكۡمَةَ وَإِن كَانُوا۟ مِن قَبۡلُ لَفِی ضَلَـٰلࣲ مُّبِینࣲ ۝٢
Faridul Haque
It is He Who has sent among the unlettered people a Noble Messenger from themselves, who recites His verses to them and purifies them, and bestows them the knowledge of the Book and wisdom; and indeed before this, they were in open error
huwa alladhī baʿatha fī l-umiyīna rasūlan min'hum yatlū ʿalayhim āyātihi wayuzakkīhim wayuʿallimuhumu l-kitāba wal-ḥik'mata wa-in kānū min qablu lafī ḍalālin mubīni
62:3 ›
وَءَاخَرِینَ مِنۡهُمۡ لَمَّا یَلۡحَقُوا۟ بِهِمۡۚ وَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِیزُ ٱلۡحَكِیمُ ۝٣
Faridul Haque
And he (the Holy Prophet) bestows knowledge to others along with them, who have not yet joined them; and He only is the Most Honourable, the Wise
waākharīna min'hum lammā yalḥaqū bihim wahuwa l-ʿazīzu l-ḥakīm
62:4 ›
ذَ ٰلِكَ فَضۡلُ ٱللَّهِ یُؤۡتِیهِ مَن یَشَاۤءُۚ وَٱللَّهُ ذُو ٱلۡفَضۡلِ ٱلۡعَظِیمِ ۝٤
Faridul Haque
This is Allah’s munificence, which He may give to whomever He wills; and Allah is Extremely Munificent
dhālika faḍlu l-lahi yu'tīhi man yashāu wal-lahu dhū l-faḍli l-ʿaẓīm
62:5 ›
مَثَلُ ٱلَّذِینَ حُمِّلُوا۟ ٱلتَّوۡرَىٰةَ ثُمَّ لَمۡ یَحۡمِلُوهَا كَمَثَلِ ٱلۡحِمَارِ یَحۡمِلُ أَسۡفَارَۢاۚ بِئۡسَ مَثَلُ ٱلۡقَوۡمِ ٱلَّذِینَ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِءَایَـٰتِ ٱللَّهِۚ وَٱللَّهُ لَا یَهۡدِی ٱلۡقَوۡمَ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِینَ ۝٥
Faridul Haque
The example of those who were entrusted with the Taurat, and did not carry out its commands, is like the donkey carrying books; what a wretched example is of the people who denied the signs of Allah; and Allah does not guide the unjust
mathalu alladhīna ḥummilū l-tawrāta thumma lam yaḥmilūhā kamathali l-ḥimāri yaḥmilu asfāran bi'sa mathalu l-qawmi alladhīna kadhabū biāyāti l-lahi wal-lahu lā yahdī l-qawma l-ẓālimīn
62:6 ›
قُلۡ یَـٰۤأَیُّهَا ٱلَّذِینَ هَادُوۤا۟ إِن زَعَمۡتُمۡ أَنَّكُمۡ أَوۡلِیَاۤءُ لِلَّهِ مِن دُونِ ٱلنَّاسِ فَتَمَنَّوُا۟ ٱلۡمَوۡتَ إِن كُنتُمۡ صَـٰدِقِینَ ۝٦
Faridul Haque
Say, “O Jews! If you assume that you are Allah’s friends, others are not, then wish for death if you are truthful!”
qul yāayyuhā alladhīna hādū in zaʿamtum annakum awliyāu lillahi min dūni l-nāsi fatamannawū l-mawta in kuntum ṣādiqīn
62:7 ›
وَلَا یَتَمَنَّوۡنَهُۥۤ أَبَدَۢا بِمَا قَدَّمَتۡ أَیۡدِیهِمۡۚ وَٱللَّهُ عَلِیمُۢ بِٱلظَّـٰلِمِینَ ۝٧
Faridul Haque
And they will never wish for it because of the misdeeds their hands have sent ahead; and Allah well knows the unjust
walā yatamannawnahu abadan bimā qaddamat aydīhim wal-lahu ʿalīmun bil-ẓālimīn
62:8 ›
قُلۡ إِنَّ ٱلۡمَوۡتَ ٱلَّذِی تَفِرُّونَ مِنۡهُ فَإِنَّهُۥ مُلَـٰقِیكُمۡۖ ثُمَّ تُرَدُّونَ إِلَىٰ عَـٰلِمِ ٱلۡغَیۡبِ وَٱلشَّهَـٰدَةِ فَیُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُونَ ۝٨
Faridul Haque
Proclaim (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “Indeed death which you run away from will surely confront you, then you will be returned to Him Who knows all the hidden and the visible - He will then inform you of what you did.”
qul inna l-mawta alladhī tafirrūna min'hu fa-innahu mulāqīkum thumma turaddūna ilā ʿālimi l-ghaybi wal-shahādati fayunabbi-ukum bimā kuntum taʿmalūn
2 Friday Prayer
62:9 ›
یَـٰۤأَیُّهَا ٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوۤا۟ إِذَا نُودِیَ لِلصَّلَوٰةِ مِن یَوۡمِ ٱلۡجُمُعَةِ فَٱسۡعَوۡا۟ إِلَىٰ ذِكۡرِ ٱللَّهِ وَذَرُوا۟ ٱلۡبَیۡعَۚ ذَ ٰلِكُمۡ خَیۡرࣱ لَّكُمۡ إِن كُنتُمۡ تَعۡلَمُونَ ۝٩
Faridul Haque
O People who Believe! When the call for prayer is given on (Friday) the day of congregation, rush towards the remembrance of Allah and stop buying and selling; this is better for you if you understand
yāayyuhā alladhīna āmanū idhā nūdiya lilṣṣalati min yawmi l-jumuʿati fa-is'ʿaw ilā dhik'ri l-lahi wadharū l-bayʿa dhālikum khayrun lakum in kuntum taʿlamūn
62:10 ›
فَإِذَا قُضِیَتِ ٱلصَّلَوٰةُ فَٱنتَشِرُوا۟ فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَٱبۡتَغُوا۟ مِن فَضۡلِ ٱللَّهِ وَٱذۡكُرُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ كَثِیرࣰا لَّعَلَّكُمۡ تُفۡلِحُونَ ۝١٠
Faridul Haque
And when the prayer ends, spread out in the land and seek Allah’s munificence, and profusely remember Allah, in the hope of attaining success
fa-idhā quḍiyati l-ṣalatu fa-intashirū fī l-arḍi wa-ib'taghū min faḍli l-lahi wa-udh'kurū l-laha kathīran laʿallakum tuf'liḥūn
62:11 ›
وَإِذَا رَأَوۡا۟ تِجَـٰرَةً أَوۡ لَهۡوًا ٱنفَضُّوۤا۟ إِلَیۡهَا وَتَرَكُوكَ قَاۤىِٕمࣰاۚ قُلۡ مَا عِندَ ٱللَّهِ خَیۡرࣱ مِّنَ ٱللَّهۡوِ وَمِنَ ٱلتِّجَـٰرَةِۚ وَٱللَّهُ خَیۡرُ ٱلرَّ ٰزِقِینَ ۝١١
Faridul Haque
And when they see some trade or sport, they move towards it and leave you standing delivering the sermon; proclaim, “That which is with Allah, is better than sport and trade; and the sustenance of Allah is the best.”
wa-idhā ra-aw tijāratan aw lahwan infaḍḍū ilayhā watarakūka qāiman qul mā ʿinda l-lahi khayrun mina l-lahwi wamina l-tijārati wal-lahu khayru l-rāziqīn
