32 قُلۡ مَنۡ حَرَّمَ زِینَةَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلَّتِیۤ أَخۡرَجَ لِعِبَادِهِۦ وَٱلطَّیِّبَـٰتِ مِنَ ٱلرِّزۡقِۚ قُلۡ هِیَ لِلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ فِی ٱلۡحَیَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنۡیَا خَالِصَةࣰ یَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِیَـٰمَةِۗ كَذَ ٰلِكَ نُفَصِّلُ ٱلۡءَایَـٰتِ لِقَوۡمࣲ یَعۡلَمُونَ ۝٣٢ qul man ḥarrama zīnata l-lahi allatī akhraja liʿibādihi wal-ṭayibāti mina l-riz'qi qul hiya lilladhīna āmanū fī l-ḥayati l-dun'yā khāliṣatan yawma l-qiyāmati kadhālika nufaṣṣilu l-āyāti liqawmin yaʿlamūn Say [Prophet], ‘Who has forbidden the adornment and the nourishment God has provided for His servants?’ Say, ‘They are [allowed] for those who believe during the life of this world: they will be theirs alone on the Day of Resurrection.’ This is how We make Our revelation clear for those who understand 33 قُلۡ إِنَّمَا حَرَّمَ رَبِّیَ ٱلۡفَوَ ٰحِشَ مَا ظَهَرَ مِنۡهَا وَمَا بَطَنَ وَٱلۡإِثۡمَ وَٱلۡبَغۡیَ بِغَیۡرِ ٱلۡحَقِّ وَأَن تُشۡرِكُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ مَا لَمۡ یُنَزِّلۡ بِهِۦ سُلۡطَـٰنࣰا وَأَن تَقُولُوا۟ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا تَعۡلَمُونَ ۝٣٣ qul innamā ḥarrama rabbiya l-fawāḥisha mā ẓahara min'hā wamā baṭana wal-ith'ma wal-baghya bighayri l-ḥaqi wa-an tush'rikū bil-lahi mā lam yunazzil bihi sul'ṭānan wa-an taqūlū ʿalā l-lahi mā lā taʿlamūn Say [Prophet], ‘My Lord only forbids disgraceful deeds- whether they be open or hidden- and sin and unjustified aggression, and that you, without His sanction, associate things with Him, and that you say things about Him without knowledge.’ 34 وَلِكُلِّ أُمَّةٍ أَجَلࣱۖ فَإِذَا جَاۤءَ أَجَلُهُمۡ لَا یَسۡتَأۡخِرُونَ سَاعَةࣰ وَلَا یَسۡتَقۡدِمُونَ ۝٣٤ walikulli ummatin ajalun fa-idhā jāa ajaluhum lā yastakhirūna sāʿatan walā yastaqdimūn There is a time set for every people: they cannot hasten it, nor, when it comes, will they be able to delay it for a single moment 35 یَـٰبَنِیۤ ءَادَمَ إِمَّا یَأۡتِیَنَّكُمۡ رُسُلࣱ مِّنكُمۡ یَقُصُّونَ عَلَیۡكُمۡ ءَایَـٰتِی فَمَنِ ٱتَّقَىٰ وَأَصۡلَحَ فَلَا خَوۡفٌ عَلَیۡهِمۡ وَلَا هُمۡ یَحۡزَنُونَ ۝٣٥ yābanī ādama immā yatiyannakum rusulun minkum yaquṣṣūna ʿalaykum āyātī famani ittaqā wa-aṣlaḥa falā khawfun ʿalayhim walā hum yaḥzanūn Children of Adam, when messengers come to you from among yourselves, reciting My revelations to you, for those who are conscious of God and live righteously, there will be no fear, nor will they grieve

36 وَٱلَّذِینَ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِءَایَـٰتِنَا وَٱسۡتَكۡبَرُوا۟ عَنۡهَاۤ أُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ أَصۡحَـٰبُ ٱلنَّارِۖ هُمۡ فِیهَا خَـٰلِدُونَ ۝٣٦ wa-alladhīna kadhabū biāyātinā wa-is'takbarū ʿanhā ulāika aṣḥābu l-nāri hum fīhā khālidūn But those who reject Our revelations and arrogantly scorn them are the people of the Fire and there they will remain

37 فَمَنۡ أَظۡلَمُ مِمَّنِ ٱفۡتَرَىٰ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ كَذِبًا أَوۡ كَذَّبَ بِءَایَـٰتِهِۦۤۚ أُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ یَنَالُهُمۡ نَصِیبُهُم مِّنَ ٱلۡكِتَـٰبِۖ حَتَّىٰۤ إِذَا جَاۤءَتۡهُمۡ رُسُلُنَا یَتَوَفَّوۡنَهُمۡ قَالُوۤا۟ أَیۡنَ مَا كُنتُمۡ تَدۡعُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِۖ قَالُوا۟ ضَلُّوا۟ عَنَّا وَشَهِدُوا۟ عَلَىٰۤ أَنفُسِهِمۡ أَنَّهُمۡ كَانُوا۟ كَـٰفِرِینَ ۝٣٧ faman aẓlamu mimmani if'tarā ʿalā l-lahi kadhiban aw kadhaba biāyātihi ulāika yanāluhum naṣībuhum mina l-kitābi ḥattā idhā jāathum rusulunā yatawaffawnahum qālū ayna mā kuntum tadʿūna min dūni l-lahi qālū ḍallū ʿannā washahidū ʿalā anfusihim annahum kānū kāfirīn Who is more wrong than the person who invents lies against God or rejects His revelations? Such people will have their preordained share [in this world], but then, when Our angels arrive to take them back, saying, ‘Where are those you used to call on beside God?’ they will say, ‘They have deserted us.’ They will confess that they were disbelievers an 38 قَالَ ٱدۡخُلُوا۟ فِیۤ أُمَمࣲ قَدۡ خَلَتۡ مِن قَبۡلِكُم مِّنَ ٱلۡجِنِّ وَٱلۡإِنسِ فِی ٱلنَّارِۖ كُلَّمَا دَخَلَتۡ أُمَّةࣱ لَّعَنَتۡ أُخۡتَهَاۖ حَتَّىٰۤ إِذَا ٱدَّارَكُوا۟ فِیهَا جَمِیعࣰا قَالَتۡ أُخۡرَىٰهُمۡ لِأُولَىٰهُمۡ رَبَّنَا هَـٰۤؤُلَاۤءِ أَضَلُّونَا فَءَاتِهِمۡ عَذَابࣰا ضِعۡفࣰا مِّنَ ٱلنَّارِۖ قَالَ لِكُلࣲّ ضِعۡفࣱ وَلَـٰكِن لَّا تَعۡلَمُونَ ۝٣٨ qāla ud'khulū fī umamin qad khalat min qablikum mina l-jini wal-insi fī l-nāri kullamā dakhalat ummatun laʿanat ukh'tahā ḥattā idhā iddārakū fīhā jamīʿan qālat ukh'rāhum liūlāhum rabbanā hāulāi aḍallūnā faātihim ʿadhāban ḍiʿ'fan mina l-nāri qāla likullin ḍiʿ'fun walākin lā taʿlamūn God will say, ‘Join the crowds of jinn and humans who have gone before you into the Fire.’ Every crowd curses its fellow crowd as it enters, then, when they are all gathered inside, the last of them will say of the first, ‘Our Lord, it was they who led us astray: give them double punishment in the Fire’- God says, ‘Every one of you will have double punishment, though you do not know it’ 39 وَقَالَتۡ أُولَىٰهُمۡ لِأُخۡرَىٰهُمۡ فَمَا كَانَ لَكُمۡ عَلَیۡنَا مِن فَضۡلࣲ فَذُوقُوا۟ ٱلۡعَذَابَ بِمَا كُنتُمۡ تَكۡسِبُونَ ۝٣٩ waqālat ūlāhum li-ukh'rāhum famā kāna lakum ʿalaynā min faḍlin fadhūqū l-ʿadhāba bimā kuntum taksibūn and the first of them will say to the last, ‘You were no better than us: taste the punishment you have earned.’ 40 إِنَّ ٱلَّذِینَ كَذَّبُوا۟ بِءَایَـٰتِنَا وَٱسۡتَكۡبَرُوا۟ عَنۡهَا لَا تُفَتَّحُ لَهُمۡ أَبۡوَ ٰبُ ٱلسَّمَاۤءِ وَلَا یَدۡخُلُونَ ٱلۡجَنَّةَ حَتَّىٰ یَلِجَ ٱلۡجَمَلُ فِی سَمِّ ٱلۡخِیَاطِۚ وَكَذَ ٰلِكَ نَجۡزِی ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِینَ ۝٤٠ inna alladhīna kadhabū biāyātinā wa-is'takbarū ʿanhā lā tufattaḥu lahum abwābu l-samāi walā yadkhulūna l-janata ḥattā yalija l-jamalu fī sammi l-khiyāṭi wakadhālika najzī l-muj'rimīn The gates of Heaven will not be open to those who rejected Our revelations and arrogantly spurned them; even if a thick rope were to pass through the eye of a needle they would not enter the Garden. This is how We punish the guilty
