1 The Stars

وَالسَّمَاءِ ذَاتِ الْبُرُوجِ

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

By the heaven with its constellations

Waalssama-i thati alburooji

وَالْيَوْمِ الْمَوْعُودِ

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

And by the Promised Day

Waalyawmi almawAAoodi

وَشَاهِدٍ وَمَشْهُودٍ

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

And by the One Who will be Present (that Day) and by what will be brought to the presence

Washahidin wamashhoodin

قُتِلَ أَصْحَابُ الْأُخْدُودِ

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

The (people) of the trenches were slain

Qutila as-habu alukhdoodi

النَّارِ ذَاتِ الْوَقُودِ

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

(The people of) the fierce fire which was (fed) with abundant fuel

Alnnari thati alwaqoodi

إِذْ هُمْ عَلَيْهَا قُعُودٌ

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

When they sat beside it

Ith hum AAalayha quAAoodun

وَهُمْ عَلَىٰ مَا يَفْعَلُونَ بِالْمُؤْمِنِينَ شُهُودٌ

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

And they are themselves witnesses to all they did to the believers (i.e., casting them into the fire and burning them)

Wahum AAala ma yafAAaloona bialmu/mineena shuhoodun

وَمَا نَقَمُوا مِنْهُمْ إِلَّا أَن يُؤْمِنُوا بِاللَّهِ الْعَزِيزِ الْحَمِيدِ

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

And nothing (of the believers) was annoying them except that they had believed in Allah the Almighty, All-Praiseworthy

Wama naqamoo minhum illa an yu/minoo biAllahi alAAazeezi alhameedi

الَّذِي لَهُ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَاللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ شَهِيدٌ

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

To Whom the (entire) kingdom of the heavens and the earth belongs and Allah is Witness over everything

Allathee lahu mulku alssamawati waal-ardi waAllahu AAala kulli shay-in shaheedun

إِنَّ الَّذِينَ فَتَنُوا الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَتُوبُوا فَلَهُمْ عَذَابُ جَهَنَّمَ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابُ الْحَرِيقِ

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

Indeed, those who persecute the believing men and women and then do not (even) repent, for them is the punishment of Hell, and for them is (especially) the torment of burning in the Fire

Inna allatheena fatanoo almu/mineena waalmu/minati thumma lam yatooboo falahum AAathabu jahannama walahum AAathabu alhareeqi

إِنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ لَهُمْ جَنَّاتٌ تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ ذَٰلِكَ الْفَوْزُ الْكَبِيرُ

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

And indeed, those who believe and keep doing pious deeds, for them are Gardens with streams flowing under them. This is the great victory

Inna allatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati lahum jannatun tajree min tahtiha al-anharu thalika alfawzu alkabeeru

إِنَّ بَطْشَ رَبِّكَ لَشَدِيدٌ

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

Surely, the seizure of your Lord is most severe

Inna batsha rabbika lashadeedun

إِنَّهُ هُوَ يُبْدِئُ وَيُعِيدُ

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

Verily, He creates the first time, and He is the One Who will bring to life the second time

Innahu huwa yubdi-o wayuAAeedu

وَهُوَ الْغَفُورُ الْوَدُودُ

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

And He is the Most Forgiving, the Most Loving

Wahuwa alghafooru alwadoodu

ذُو الْعَرْشِ الْمَجِيدُ

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

The Lord of the Throne (controlling the whole universe) and the Lord of Honour

Thoo alAAarshi almajeedi

فَعَّالٌ لِّمَا يُرِيدُ

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

He (thoroughly) executes whatever He intends

FaAAAAalun lima yureedu

هَلْ أَتَاكَ حَدِيثُ الْجُنُودِ

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

Has the news of the troops reached you

Hal ataka hadeethu aljunoodi

فِرْعَوْنَ وَثَمُودَ

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

The troops of Pharaoh and Thamud

FirAAawna wathamooda

بَلِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا فِي تَكْذِيبٍ

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

But such disbelievers (persistently strive to) belie (the truth)

Bali allatheena kafaroo fee taktheebin

وَاللَّهُ مِن وَرَائِهِم مُّحِيطٌ

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

And Allah encompasses (them) from all sides

WaAllahu min wara-ihim muheetun

بَلْ هُوَ قُرْآنٌ مَّجِيدٌ

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

It is indeed the Glorious Qur’an

Bal huwa qur-anun majeedun

فِي لَوْحٍ مَّحْفُوظٍ

Dr. Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

(Inscribed) in the very Well-guarded Tablet (al-Lawh al-Mahfuz)

Fee lawhin mahfoothin
