Belief in the Revealed Books — Al-Kutub

الإيمان بالكتب
Al-Imān bi-l-Kutub
Belief in all the scriptures God revealed to His prophets.

Muslims believe in all the scriptures God revealed to His prophets. The major ones named in the Quran are: the Suhuf (Scrolls) of Ibrahim (Abraham), the Tawrat (Torah) revealed to Musa (Moses), the Zabur (Psalms) given to Dawud (David), the Injil (Gospel) revealed to Isa (Jesus), and the Quran revealed to Muhammad. Muslims believe the earlier scriptures were divine in origin but have been altered over time, while the Quran is God's final revelation, preserved word for word exactly as it was revealed. The Quran confirms and supersedes all previous scriptures. Belief in the earlier books affirms continuity between the Abrahamic faiths and shows that God's message of monotheism has been consistent throughout history.

"He has sent down upon you the Book in truth, confirming what was before it. And He revealed the Torah and the Gospel" — Quran 3:3
