Belief in Allah

Tawhid
الإيمان بالله
Al-Imān bi-Allāh

The absolute oneness of God (tawhid). Allah has no partners, children, or equals. He is the Creator, Sustainer, and Sovereign of all creation.

2

Belief in the Angels

Al-Mala'ikah
الإيمان بالملائكة
Al-Imān bi-l-Malā'ikah

Angels are created from light and serve Allah without free will. They carry out God's commands throughout the universe, from delivering revelation to recording human deeds.

3

Belief in the Revealed Books

Al-Kutub
الإيمان بالكتب
Al-Imān bi-l-Kutub

Muslims believe in all scriptures God revealed to His prophets: the Scrolls of Ibrahim, the Torah, the Psalms, the Gospel, and the Quran — God's final, preserved revelation.

4

Belief in the Prophets

Al-Anbiya
الإيمان بالرسل
Al-Imān bi-l-Rusul

Muslims believe in all the prophets God sent to humanity, from Adam to Muhammad — the Seal of the Prophets. Prophets are human beings chosen by God to guide humanity to worship Him alone.

5

Belief in the Day of Judgment

Yawm al-Qiyamah
الإيمان باليوم الآخر
Al-Imān bi-Yawm al-Qiyāmah

Life on earth is temporary. Every person will be resurrected and held accountable for their deeds. Those whose good deeds prevail will enter Paradise; the Day gives life moral urgency.

6

Belief in Divine Decree

Al-Qadr
الإيمان بالقضاء والقدر
Al-Imān bi-l-Qaḍā' wa-l-Qadr

Allah has full knowledge of all things past, present, and future. Everything happens by His will and plan. Belief in qadr brings peace in hardship and humility in success.
