Belief in the Prophets — Al-Anbiya
Muslims believe in all the prophets God sent to humanity, from Adam to Muhammad. The Quran names 25 prophets, including Adam, Nuh (Noah), Ibrahim (Abraham), Isma'il (Ishmael), Ishaq (Isaac), Ya'qub (Jacob), Yusuf (Joseph), Musa (Moses), Dawud (David), Sulayman (Solomon), Isa (Jesus), and Muhammad. Each prophet was sent to guide humanity to worship God alone. Prophets are human beings chosen by God — they are not divine. Muhammad is the "Seal of the Prophets" (Khatam an-Nabiyyin), meaning no new prophet will come after him. Muslims are required to respect all prophets equally and not make distinctions between them in terms of their mission. The stories of the prophets form a major portion of the Quran and provide moral and spiritual guidance.
"We make no distinction between any of His messengers" — Quran 2:285
