Abraham 14:28 Noun
۞ أَلَمۡ تَرَ إِلَى ٱلَّذِینَ بَدَّلُوا۟ نِعۡمَتَ ٱللَّهِ كُفۡرࣰا وَأَحَلُّوا۟ قَوۡمَهُمۡ دَارَ ٱلۡبَوَارِ ۝٢٨
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): Have you not considered those who exchanged the favor of Allah for disbelief and settled their people [in] the home of ruin
Abdel Haleem: [Prophet], do you not see those who, in exchange for God’s favour, offer only ingratitude and make their people end up in the home of ruin, Hell
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Hast thou not seen those who gave the grace of Allah in exchange for thanklessness and led their people down to the Abode of Loss
The Criterion, The Standard 25:18 Noun
قَالُوا۟ سُبۡحَـٰنَكَ مَا كَانَ یَنۢبَغِی لَنَاۤ أَن نَّتَّخِذَ مِن دُونِكَ مِنۡ أَوۡلِیَاۤءَ وَلَـٰكِن مَّتَّعۡتَهُمۡ وَءَابَاۤءَهُمۡ حَتَّىٰ نَسُوا۟ ٱلذِّكۡرَ وَكَانُوا۟ قَوۡمَۢا بُورࣰا ۝١٨
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): They will say, "Exalted are You! It was not for us to take besides You any allies. But You provided comforts for them and their fathers until they forgot the message and became a people ruined."
Abdel Haleem: They will say, ‘May You be exalted! We ourselves would never take masters other than You! But You granted them and their forefathers pleasures in this life, until they forgot Your Reminder and were ruined.’
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: They will say: Be Thou Glorified! it was not for us to choose any protecting friends beside thee; but Thou didst give them and their fathers ease till they forgot the warning and became lost folk
Victory, Conquest 48:12 Noun
بَلۡ ظَنَنتُمۡ أَن لَّن یَنقَلِبَ ٱلرَّسُولُ وَٱلۡمُؤۡمِنُونَ إِلَىٰۤ أَهۡلِیهِمۡ أَبَدࣰا وَزُیِّنَ ذَ ٰلِكَ فِی قُلُوبِكُمۡ وَظَنَنتُمۡ ظَنَّ ٱلسَّوۡءِ وَكُنتُمۡ قَوۡمَۢا بُورࣰا ۝١٢
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): But you thought that the Messenger and the believers would never return to their families, ever, and that was made pleasing in your hearts. And you assumed an assumption of evil and became a people ruined."
Abdel Haleem: No! You thought that the Messenger and the believers would never return to their families and this thought warmed your hearts. Your thoughts are evil, for you are corrupt people
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Nay, but ye deemed that the messenger and the believers would never return to their own folk, and that was made fairseeming in your hearts, and ye did think an evil thought, and ye were worthless folk

The Angels, Originator, The Creator 35:10 Verb
مَن كَانَ یُرِیدُ ٱلۡعِزَّةَ فَلِلَّهِ ٱلۡعِزَّةُ جَمِیعًاۚ إِلَیۡهِ یَصۡعَدُ ٱلۡكَلِمُ ٱلطَّیِّبُ وَٱلۡعَمَلُ ٱلصَّـٰلِحُ یَرۡفَعُهُۥۚ وَٱلَّذِینَ یَمۡكُرُونَ ٱلسَّیِّءَاتِ لَهُمۡ عَذَابࣱ شَدِیدࣱۖ وَمَكۡرُ أُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ هُوَ یَبُورُ ۝١٠
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): Whoever desires honor [through power] - then to Allah belongs all honor. To Him ascends good speech, and righteous work raises it. But they who plot evil deeds will have a severe punishment, and the plotting of those - it will perish
Abdel Haleem: If anyone desires power, all power belongs to God; good words rise up to Him and He lifts up the righteous deed, but a severe torment awaits those who plot evil and their plotting will come to nothing
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Whoso desireth power (should know that) all power belongeth to Allah. Unto Him good words ascend, and the pious deed doth He exalt; but those who plot iniquities, theirs will be an awful doom; and the plotting of such (folk) will come to naught
The Angels, Originator, The Creator 35:29 Verb
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِینَ یَتۡلُونَ كِتَـٰبَ ٱللَّهِ وَأَقَامُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَأَنفَقُوا۟ مِمَّا رَزَقۡنَـٰهُمۡ سِرࣰّا وَعَلَانِیَةࣰ یَرۡجُونَ تِجَـٰرَةࣰ لَّن تَبُورَ ۝٢٩
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): Indeed, those who recite the Book of Allah and establish prayer and spend [in His cause] out of what We have provided them, secretly and publicly, [can] expect a profit that will never perish
Abdel Haleem: Those who recite God’s scripture, keep up the prayer, give secretly and openly from what We have provided for them, may hope for a trade that will never decline
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Lo! those who read the Scripture of Allah, and establish worship, and spend of that which We have bestowed on them secretly and openly, they look forward to imperishable gain
