زُیِّنَ لِلنَّاسِ حُبُّ ٱلشَّهَوَ ٰتِ مِنَ ٱلنِّسَاۤءِ وَٱلۡبَنِینَ وَٱلۡقَنَـٰطِیرِ ٱلۡمُقَنطَرَةِ مِنَ ٱلذَّهَبِ وَٱلۡفِضَّةِ وَٱلۡخَیۡلِ ٱلۡمُسَوَّمَةِ وَٱلۡأَنۡعَـٰمِ وَٱلۡحَرۡثِۗ ذَ ٰلِكَ مَتَـٰعُ ٱلۡحَیَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنۡیَاۖ وَٱللَّهُ عِندَهُۥ حُسۡنُ ٱلۡمَءَابِ ١٤
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International):
Beautified for people is the love of that which they desire - of women and sons, heaped-up sums of gold and silver, fine branded horses, and cattle and tilled land. That is the enjoyment of worldly life, but Allah has with Him the best return
Abdel Haleem:
The love of desirable things is made alluring for men- women, children, gold and silver treasures piled up high, horses with fine markings, livestock, and farmland- these may be the joys of this life, but God has the best place to return to
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall:
Beautified for mankind is love of the joys (that come) from women and offspring; and stored-up heaps of gold and silver, and horses branded (with their mark), and cattle and land. That is comfort of the life of the world. Allah! With Him is a more excellent abode
۞ وَمِنۡ أَهۡلِ ٱلۡكِتَـٰبِ مَنۡ إِن تَأۡمَنۡهُ بِقِنطَارࣲ یُؤَدِّهِۦۤ إِلَیۡكَ وَمِنۡهُم مَّنۡ إِن تَأۡمَنۡهُ بِدِینَارࣲ لَّا یُؤَدِّهِۦۤ إِلَیۡكَ إِلَّا مَا دُمۡتَ عَلَیۡهِ قَاۤىِٕمࣰاۗ ذَ ٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمۡ قَالُوا۟ لَیۡسَ عَلَیۡنَا فِی ٱلۡأُمِّیِّـۧنَ سَبِیلࣱ وَیَقُولُونَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ ٱلۡكَذِبَ وَهُمۡ یَعۡلَمُونَ ٧٥
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International):
And among the People of the Scripture is he who, if you entrust him with a great amount [of wealth], he will return it to you. And among them is he who, if you entrust him with a [single] silver coin, he will not return it to you unless you are constantly standing over him [demanding it]. That is because they say, "There is no blame upon us concerning the unlearned." And they speak untruth about Allah while they know [it]
Abdel Haleem:
There are People of the Book who, if you [Prophet] entrust them with a heap of gold, will return it to you intact, but there are others of them who, if you entrust them with a single dinar, will not return it to you unless you keep standing over them, because they say, ‘We are under no obligation towards the gentiles.’ They tell a lie against God and they know it
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall:
Among the People of the Scripture there is he who, if thou trust him with a weight of treasure, will return it to thee. And among them there is he who, if thou trust him with a piece of gold, will not return it to thee unless thou keep standing over him. That is because they say: We have no duty to the Gentiles. They speak a lie concerning Allah knowingly
Women 4:20
Noun
وَإِنۡ أَرَدتُّمُ ٱسۡتِبۡدَالَ زَوۡجࣲ مَّكَانَ زَوۡجࣲ وَءَاتَیۡتُمۡ إِحۡدَىٰهُنَّ قِنطَارࣰا فَلَا تَأۡخُذُوا۟ مِنۡهُ شَیۡءًاۚ أَتَأۡخُذُونَهُۥ بُهۡتَـٰنࣰا وَإِثۡمࣰا مُّبِینࣰا ٢٠
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International):
But if you want to replace one wife with another and you have given one of them a great amount [in gifts], do not take [back] from it anything. Would you take it in injustice and manifest sin
Abdel Haleem:
If you wish to replace one wife with another, do not take any of her bride-gift back, even if you have given her a great amount of gold

And if ye wish to exchange one wife for another and ye have given unto one of them a sum of money (however great), take nothing from it. Would ye take it by the way of calumny and open wrong
