۞ وَلَوۡ رَحِمۡنَـٰهُمۡ وَكَشَفۡنَا مَا بِهِم مِّن ضُرࣲّ لَّلَجُّوا۟ فِی طُغۡیَـٰنِهِمۡ یَعۡمَهُونَ ۝٧٥
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): And even if We gave them mercy and removed what was upon them of affliction, they would persist in their transgression, wandering blindly
Abdel Haleem: Even if We were to show them mercy and relieve them of distress, they would blindly persist in their transgression
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Though We had mercy on them and relieved them of the harm afflicting them, they still would wander blindly on in their contumacy
The Sovereignty, Control, The Kingdom 67:21 Verb
أَمَّنۡ هَـٰذَا ٱلَّذِی یَرۡزُقُكُمۡ إِنۡ أَمۡسَكَ رِزۡقَهُۥۚ بَل لَّجُّوا۟ فِی عُتُوࣲّ وَنُفُورٍ ۝٢١
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): Or who is it that could provide for you if He withheld His provision? But they have persisted in insolence and aversion
Abdel Haleem: Who can provide for you if He withholds His provision? Yet they persist in their insolence and their avoidance of the Truth
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Or who is he that will provide for you if He should withhold His providence? Nay, but they are set in pride and frowardness

أَوۡ كَظُلُمَـٰتࣲ فِی بَحۡرࣲ لُّجِّیࣲّ یَغۡشَىٰهُ مَوۡجࣱ مِّن فَوۡقِهِۦ مَوۡجࣱ مِّن فَوۡقِهِۦ سَحَابࣱۚ ظُلُمَـٰتُۢ بَعۡضُهَا فَوۡقَ بَعۡضٍ إِذَاۤ أَخۡرَجَ یَدَهُۥ لَمۡ یَكَدۡ یَرَىٰهَاۗ وَمَن لَّمۡ یَجۡعَلِ ٱللَّهُ لَهُۥ نُورࣰا فَمَا لَهُۥ مِن نُّورٍ ۝٤٠
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): Or [they are] like darknesses within an unfathomable sea which is covered by waves, upon which are waves, over which are clouds - darknesses, some of them upon others. When one puts out his hand [therein], he can hardly see it. And he to whom Allah has not granted light - for him there is no light
Abdel Haleem: Or like shadows in a deep sea covered by wave upon wave, with clouds above- layer upon layer of darkness- if he holds out his hand, he is scarcely able to see it. The one to whom God gives no light has no light at all
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Or as darkness on a vast, abysmal sea. There covereth him a wave, above which is a wave, above which is a cloud. Layer upon layer of darkness. When he holdeth out his hand he scarce can see it. And he for whom Allah hath not appointed light, for him there is no light
The Ant, The Ants 27:44 Noun
قِیلَ لَهَا ٱدۡخُلِی ٱلصَّرۡحَۖ فَلَمَّا رَأَتۡهُ حَسِبَتۡهُ لُجَّةࣰ وَكَشَفَتۡ عَن سَاقَیۡهَاۚ قَالَ إِنَّهُۥ صَرۡحࣱ مُّمَرَّدࣱ مِّن قَوَارِیرَۗ قَالَتۡ رَبِّ إِنِّی ظَلَمۡتُ نَفۡسِی وَأَسۡلَمۡتُ مَعَ سُلَیۡمَـٰنَ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ ۝٤٤
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): She was told, "Enter the palace." But when she saw it, she thought it was a body of water and uncovered her shins [to wade through]. He said, "Indeed, it is a palace [whose floor is] made smooth with glass." She said, "My Lord, indeed I have wronged myself, and I submit with Solomon to Allah , Lord of the worlds."
Abdel Haleem: Then it was said to her, ‘Enter the hall,’ but when she saw it, she thought it was a deep pool of water, and bared her legs. Solomon explained, ‘It is just a hall paved with glass,’ and she said, ‘My Lord, I have wronged myself: I devote myself, with Solomon, to God, the Lord of the Worlds.’
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: It was said unto her: Enter the hall. And when she saw it she deemed it a pool and bared her legs. (Solomon) said: Lo! it is a hall, made smooth, of glass. She said: My Lord! Lo! I have wronged myself, and I surrender with Solomon unto Allah, the Lord of the Worlds
