We revealed it to you: you were not present with Joseph’s brothers when they made their treacherous plans 103 وَمَاۤ أَكۡثَرُ ٱلنَّاسِ وَلَوۡ حَرَصۡتَ بِمُؤۡمِنِینَ ۝١٠٣ wamā aktharu l-nāsi walaw ḥaraṣta bimu'minīn However eagerly you may want them to, most men will not believe 104 وَمَا تَسۡءَلُهُمۡ عَلَیۡهِ مِنۡ أَجۡرٍۚ إِنۡ هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكۡرࣱ لِّلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ ۝١٠٤ wamā tasaluhum ʿalayhi min ajrin in huwa illā dhik'run lil'ʿālamīn You ask no reward from them for this: it is a reminder for all peopl 105 وَكَأَیِّن مِّنۡ ءَایَةࣲ فِی ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ یَمُرُّونَ عَلَیۡهَا وَهُمۡ عَنۡهَا مُعۡرِضُونَ ۝١٠٥ waka-ayyin min āyatin fī l-samāwāti wal-arḍi yamurrūna ʿalayhā wahum ʿanhā muʿ'riḍūn and there are many signs in the heavens and the earth that they pass by and give no heed to

Have the [disbelievers] not travelled through the land and seen the end of those who went before them? For those who are mindful of God, the Home in the Hereafter is better. Do you [people] not use your reason 110 حَتَّىٰۤ إِذَا ٱسۡتَیۡءَسَ ٱلرُّسُلُ وَظَنُّوۤا۟ أَنَّهُمۡ قَدۡ كُذِبُوا۟ جَاۤءَهُمۡ نَصۡرُنَا فَنُجِّیَ مَن نَّشَاۤءُۖ وَلَا یُرَدُّ بَأۡسُنَا عَنِ ٱلۡقَوۡمِ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِینَ ۝١١٠ ḥattā idhā is'tayasa l-rusulu waẓannū annahum qad kudhibū jāahum naṣrunā fanujjiya man nashāu walā yuraddu basunā ʿani l-qawmi l-muj'rimīn When the messengers lost all hope and realized that they had been dismissed as liars, Our help came to them: We saved whoever We pleased, but Our punishment will not be turned away from guilty people
