91 وَأَوۡفُوا۟ بِعَهۡدِ ٱللَّهِ إِذَا عَـٰهَدتُّمۡ وَلَا تَنقُضُوا۟ ٱلۡأَیۡمَـٰنَ بَعۡدَ تَوۡكِیدِهَا وَقَدۡ جَعَلۡتُمُ ٱللَّهَ عَلَیۡكُمۡ كَفِیلًاۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ یَعۡلَمُ مَا تَفۡعَلُونَ ۝٩١ wa-awfū biʿahdi l-lahi idhā ʿāhadttum walā tanquḍū l-aymāna baʿda tawkīdihā waqad jaʿaltumu l-laha ʿalaykum kafīlan inna l-laha yaʿlamu mā tafʿalūn Fulfil any pledge you make in God’s name and do not break oaths after you have sworn them, for you have made God your surety: God knows everything you do 92 وَلَا تَكُونُوا۟ كَٱلَّتِی نَقَضَتۡ غَزۡلَهَا مِنۢ بَعۡدِ قُوَّةٍ أَنكَـٰثࣰا تَتَّخِذُونَ أَیۡمَـٰنَكُمۡ دَخَلَۢا بَیۡنَكُمۡ أَن تَكُونَ أُمَّةٌ هِیَ أَرۡبَىٰ مِنۡ أُمَّةٍۚ إِنَّمَا یَبۡلُوكُمُ ٱللَّهُ بِهِۦۚ وَلَیُبَیِّنَنَّ لَكُمۡ یَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِیَـٰمَةِ مَا كُنتُمۡ فِیهِ تَخۡتَلِفُونَ ۝٩٢ walā takūnū ka-allatī naqaḍat ghazlahā min baʿdi quwwatin ankāthan tattakhidhūna aymānakum dakhalan baynakum an takūna ummatun hiya arbā min ummatin innamā yablūkumu l-lahu bihi walayubayyinanna lakum yawma l-qiyāmati mā kuntum fīhi takhtalifūn Do not use your oaths to deceive each other- like a woman who unravels the thread she has firmly spun- just because one party may be more numerous than another. God tests you with this, and on the Day of the Resurrection He will make clear to you those things you differed about 93 وَلَوۡ شَاۤءَ ٱللَّهُ لَجَعَلَكُمۡ أُمَّةࣰ وَ ٰحِدَةࣰ وَلَـٰكِن یُضِلُّ مَن یَشَاۤءُ وَیَهۡدِی مَن یَشَاۤءُۚ وَلَتُسۡءَلُنَّ عَمَّا كُنتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُونَ ۝٩٣ walaw shāa l-lahu lajaʿalakum ummatan wāḥidatan walākin yuḍillu man yashāu wayahdī man yashāu walatus'alunna ʿammā kuntum taʿmalūn If God so willed, He would have made you all one people, but He leaves to stray whoever He will and guides whoever He will. You will be questioned about your deeds 94 وَلَا تَتَّخِذُوۤا۟ أَیۡمَـٰنَكُمۡ دَخَلَۢا بَیۡنَكُمۡ فَتَزِلَّ قَدَمُۢ بَعۡدَ ثُبُوتِهَا وَتَذُوقُوا۟ ٱلسُّوۤءَ بِمَا صَدَدتُّمۡ عَن سَبِیلِ ٱللَّهِ وَلَكُمۡ عَذَابٌ عَظِیمࣱ ۝٩٤ walā tattakhidhū aymānakum dakhalan baynakum fatazilla qadamun baʿda thubūtihā watadhūqū l-sūa bimā ṣadadttum ʿan sabīli l-lahi walakum ʿadhābun ʿaẓīmu Do not use your oaths to deceive each other lest any foot should slip after being firmly placed and lest you should taste the penalty for having hindered others from the path of God, and suffer terrible torment

95 وَلَا تَشۡتَرُوا۟ بِعَهۡدِ ٱللَّهِ ثَمَنࣰا قَلِیلًاۚ إِنَّمَا عِندَ ٱللَّهِ هُوَ خَیۡرࣱ لَّكُمۡ إِن كُنتُمۡ تَعۡلَمُونَ ۝٩٥ walā tashtarū biʿahdi l-lahi thamanan qalīlan innamā ʿinda l-lahi huwa khayrun lakum in kuntum taʿlamūn Do not sell for a small price any pledge made in God’s name: what God has [to give] is better for you, if you only knew

96 مَا عِندَكُمۡ یَنفَدُ وَمَا عِندَ ٱللَّهِ بَاقࣲۗ وَلَنَجۡزِیَنَّ ٱلَّذِینَ صَبَرُوۤا۟ أَجۡرَهُم بِأَحۡسَنِ مَا كَانُوا۟ یَعۡمَلُونَ ۝٩٦ mā ʿindakum yanfadu wamā ʿinda l-lahi bāqin walanajziyanna alladhīna ṣabarū ajrahum bi-aḥsani mā kānū yaʿmalūn What you have runs out but what God has endures, and We shall certainly reward those who remain steadfast according to the best of their actions 97 مَنۡ عَمِلَ صَـٰلِحࣰا مِّن ذَكَرٍ أَوۡ أُنثَىٰ وَهُوَ مُؤۡمِنࣱ فَلَنُحۡیِیَنَّهُۥ حَیَوٰةࣰ طَیِّبَةࣰۖ وَلَنَجۡزِیَنَّهُمۡ أَجۡرَهُم بِأَحۡسَنِ مَا كَانُوا۟ یَعۡمَلُونَ ۝٩٧ man ʿamila ṣāliḥan min dhakarin aw unthā wahuwa mu'minun falanuḥ'yiyannahu ḥayatan ṭayyibatan walanajziyannahum ajrahum bi-aḥsani mā kānū yaʿmalūn To whoever, male or female, does good deeds and has faith, We shall give a good life and reward them according to the best of their actions 98 فَإِذَا قَرَأۡتَ ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ فَٱسۡتَعِذۡ بِٱللَّهِ مِنَ ٱلشَّیۡطَـٰنِ ٱلرَّجِیمِ ۝٩٨ fa-idhā qarata l-qur'āna fa-is'taʿidh bil-lahi mina l-shayṭāni l-rajīm [Prophet], when you recite the Quran, seek God’s protection from the outcast, Satan 99 إِنَّهُۥ لَیۡسَ لَهُۥ سُلۡطَـٰنٌ عَلَى ٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَلَىٰ رَبِّهِمۡ یَتَوَكَّلُونَ ۝٩٩ innahu laysa lahu sul'ṭānun ʿalā alladhīna āmanū waʿalā rabbihim yatawakkalūn He has no power over those who believe and trust in their Lord
