108 أَمۡ تُرِیدُونَ أَن تَسۡءَلُوا۟ رَسُولَكُمۡ كَمَا سُىِٕلَ مُوسَىٰ مِن قَبۡلُۗ وَمَن یَتَبَدَّلِ ٱلۡكُفۡرَ بِٱلۡإِیمَـٰنِ فَقَدۡ ضَلَّ سَوَاۤءَ ٱلسَّبِیلِ ۝١٠٨ am turīdūna an tasalū rasūlakum kamā su-ila mūsā min qablu waman yatabaddali l-kuf'ra bil-īmāni faqad ḍalla sawāa l-sabīl Do you wish to demand of your messenger something similar to what was demanded of Moses? Whoever exchanges faith for disbelief has strayed far from the right path 109 وَدَّ كَثِیرࣱ مِّنۡ أَهۡلِ ٱلۡكِتَـٰبِ لَوۡ یَرُدُّونَكُم مِّنۢ بَعۡدِ إِیمَـٰنِكُمۡ كُفَّارًا حَسَدࣰا مِّنۡ عِندِ أَنفُسِهِم مِّنۢ بَعۡدِ مَا تَبَیَّنَ لَهُمُ ٱلۡحَقُّۖ فَٱعۡفُوا۟ وَٱصۡفَحُوا۟ حَتَّىٰ یَأۡتِیَ ٱللَّهُ بِأَمۡرِهِۦۤۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَیۡءࣲ قَدِیرࣱ ۝١٠٩ wadda kathīrun min ahli l-kitābi law yaruddūnakum min baʿdi īmānikum kuffāran ḥasadan min ʿindi anfusihim min baʿdi mā tabayyana lahumu l-ḥaqu fa-iʿ'fū wa-iṣ'faḥū ḥattā yatiya l-lahu bi-amrihi inna l-laha ʿalā kulli shayin qadīru Even after the truth has become clear to them, many of the People of the Book wish they could turn you back to disbelief after you have believed, out of their selfish envy. Forgive and forbear until God gives his command: He has power over all things 110 وَأَقِیمُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَءَاتُوا۟ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَۚ وَمَا تُقَدِّمُوا۟ لِأَنفُسِكُم مِّنۡ خَیۡرࣲ تَجِدُوهُ عِندَ ٱللَّهِۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ بَصِیرࣱ ۝١١٠ wa-aqīmū l-ṣalata waātū l-zakata wamā tuqaddimū li-anfusikum min khayrin tajidūhu ʿinda l-lahi inna l-laha bimā taʿmalūna baṣīru Keep up the prayer and pay the prescribed alms. Whatever good you store up for yourselves, you will find it with God: He sees everything you do 111 وَقَالُوا۟ لَن یَدۡخُلَ ٱلۡجَنَّةَ إِلَّا مَن كَانَ هُودًا أَوۡ نَصَـٰرَىٰۗ تِلۡكَ أَمَانِیُّهُمۡۗ قُلۡ هَاتُوا۟ بُرۡهَـٰنَكُمۡ إِن كُنتُمۡ صَـٰدِقِینَ ۝١١١ waqālū lan yadkhula l-janata illā man kāna hūdan aw naṣārā til'ka amāniyyuhum qul hātū bur'hānakum in kuntum ṣādiqīn They also say, ‘No one will enter Paradise unless he is a Jew or a Christian.’ This is their own wishful thinking. [Prophet], say, ‘Produce your evidence, if you are telling the truth.’
112 بَلَىٰۚ مَنۡ أَسۡلَمَ وَجۡهَهُۥ لِلَّهِ وَهُوَ مُحۡسِنࣱ فَلَهُۥۤ أَجۡرُهُۥ عِندَ رَبِّهِۦ وَلَا خَوۡفٌ عَلَیۡهِمۡ وَلَا هُمۡ یَحۡزَنُونَ ۝١١٢ balā man aslama wajhahu lillahi wahuwa muḥ'sinun falahu ajruhu ʿinda rabbihi walā khawfun ʿalayhim walā hum yaḥzanūn In fact, any who direct themselves wholly to God and do good will have their reward with their Lord: no fear for them, nor will they grieve

Such people should not enter them without fear: there is disgrace for them in this world and painful punishment in the Hereafter 115 وَلِلَّهِ ٱلۡمَشۡرِقُ وَٱلۡمَغۡرِبُۚ فَأَیۡنَمَا تُوَلُّوا۟ فَثَمَّ وَجۡهُ ٱللَّهِۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ وَ ٰسِعٌ عَلِیمࣱ ۝١١٥ walillahi l-mashriqu wal-maghribu fa-aynamā tuwallū fathamma wajhu l-lahi inna l-laha wāsiʿun ʿalīmu The East and the West belong to God: wherever you turn, there is His Face. God is all pervading and all knowing 116 وَقَالُوا۟ ٱتَّخَذَ ٱللَّهُ وَلَدࣰاۗ سُبۡحَـٰنَهُۥۖ بَل لَّهُۥ مَا فِی ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۖ كُلࣱّ لَّهُۥ قَـٰنِتُونَ ۝١١٦ waqālū ittakhadha l-lahu waladan sub'ḥānahu bal lahu mā fī l-samāwāti wal-arḍi kullun lahu qānitūn They have asserted, ‘God has a child.’ May He be exalted! No! Everything in the heavens and earth belongs to Him, everything devoutly obeys His will
