Verse 37:77 in Context

73 فَٱنظُرۡ كَیۡفَ كَانَ عَـٰقِبَةُ ٱلۡمُنذَرِینَ ۝٧٣ fa-unẓur kayfa kāna ʿāqibatu l-mundharīn See how those who were warned met their end 74 إِلَّا عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلۡمُخۡلَصِینَ ۝٧٤ illā ʿibāda l-lahi l-mukh'laṣīn Not so the true servants of God 75 وَلَقَدۡ نَادَىٰنَا نُوحࣱ فَلَنِعۡمَ ٱلۡمُجِیبُونَ ۝٧٥ walaqad nādānā nūḥun falaniʿ'ma l-mujībūn Noah cried to Us, and how excellent was Our response 76 وَنَجَّیۡنَـٰهُ وَأَهۡلَهُۥ مِنَ ٱلۡكَرۡبِ ٱلۡعَظِیمِ ۝٧٦ wanajjaynāhu wa-ahlahu mina l-karbi l-ʿaẓīm We saved him and his people from great distress
77 وَجَعَلۡنَا ذُرِّیَّتَهُۥ هُمُ ٱلۡبَاقِینَ ۝٧٧ wajaʿalnā dhurriyyatahu humu l-bāqīn We let his offspring remain on the earth
78 وَتَرَكۡنَا عَلَیۡهِ فِی ٱلۡءَاخِرِینَ ۝٧٨ wataraknā ʿalayhi fī l-ākhirīn We let him be praised by later generations 79 سَلَـٰمٌ عَلَىٰ نُوحࣲ فِی ٱلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ ۝٧٩ salāmun ʿalā nūḥin fī l-ʿālamīn ‘Peace be upon Noah among all the nations!’ 80 إِنَّا كَذَ ٰلِكَ نَجۡزِی ٱلۡمُحۡسِنِینَ ۝٨٠ innā kadhālika najzī l-muḥ'sinīn This is how We reward those who do good 81 إِنَّهُۥ مِنۡ عِبَادِنَا ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِینَ ۝٨١ innahu min ʿibādinā l-mu'minīn he was truly one of Our faithful servants
