1 The Opening

بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِیمِ ۝١

In the name of Allah Ar-Rahman [The All-merciful], The Most Merciful.

bis'mi l-lahi l-raḥmāni l-raḥīm

ٱلۡحَمۡدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ ۝٢

The praise is all for Allah Lord of the worlds.

al-ḥamdu lillahi rabbi l-ʿālamīn

ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِیمِ ۝٣

Ar-Rahman [The All-merciful], The Most Merciful.

al-raḥmāni l-raḥīm

مَـٰلِكِ یَوۡمِ ٱلدِّینِ ۝٤

Master of the day of recompense.

māliki yawmi l-dīn

إِیَّاكَ نَعۡبُدُ وَإِیَّاكَ نَسۡتَعِینُ ۝٥

Only You we serve and only You, we seek help from.

iyyāka naʿbudu wa-iyyāka nastaʿīn

ٱهۡدِنَا ٱلصِّرَ ٰطَ ٱلۡمُسۡتَقِیمَ ۝٦

Guide us to the path the most upright.

ih'dinā l-ṣirāṭa l-mus'taqīm

صِرَ ٰطَ ٱلَّذِینَ أَنۡعَمۡتَ عَلَیۡهِمۡ غَیۡرِ ٱلۡمَغۡضُوبِ عَلَیۡهِمۡ وَلَا ٱلضَّاۤلِّینَ ۝٧

The path of those on whom You have bestowed your blessings. But not of those on whom Your anger is visited nor of those who are gone astray.

ṣirāṭa alladhīna anʿamta ʿalayhim ghayri l-maghḍūbi ʿalayhim walā l-ḍālīn
