1 Reference to Moses' History

۞ طسۤۚ تِلۡكَ ءَایَـٰتُ ٱلۡقُرۡءَانِ وَكِتَابࣲ مُّبِینٍ ۝١

Bakhtiari Nejad

T. S. (Ta. Sin.) These are verses of the Quran, a clear (and clarifying) book,

tta-seen til'ka āyātu l-qur'āni wakitābin mubīni

هُدࣰى وَبُشۡرَىٰ لِلۡمُؤۡمِنِینَ ۝٢

Bakhtiari Nejad

a guide and good news for the believers,

hudan wabush'rā lil'mu'minīn

ٱلَّذِینَ یُقِیمُونَ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَیُؤۡتُونَ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ وَهُم بِٱلۡءَاخِرَةِ هُمۡ یُوقِنُونَ ۝٣

Bakhtiari Nejad

those who perform mandatory prayer and give to mandatory charity and they are certain of the Hereafter.

alladhīna yuqīmūna l-ṣalata wayu'tūna l-zakata wahum bil-ākhirati hum yūqinūn

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِینَ لَا یُؤۡمِنُونَ بِٱلۡءَاخِرَةِ زَیَّنَّا لَهُمۡ أَعۡمَـٰلَهُمۡ فَهُمۡ یَعۡمَهُونَ ۝٤

Bakhtiari Nejad

Indeed, those who do not believe in the Hereafter, We beautified their works for them, so they are blindly wandering.

inna alladhīna lā yu'minūna bil-ākhirati zayyannā lahum aʿmālahum fahum yaʿmahūn

أُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ ٱلَّذِینَ لَهُمۡ سُوۤءُ ٱلۡعَذَابِ وَهُمۡ فِی ٱلۡءَاخِرَةِ هُمُ ٱلۡأَخۡسَرُونَ ۝٥

Bakhtiari Nejad

They are those who will have the bad punishment and they are the worst losers in the Hereafter.

ulāika alladhīna lahum sūu l-ʿadhābi wahum fī l-ākhirati humu l-akhsarūn

وَإِنَّكَ لَتُلَقَّى ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ مِن لَّدُنۡ حَكِیمٍ عَلِیمٍ ۝٦

Bakhtiari Nejad

And you certainly receive the Quran from (the One Who is) wise and knowledgeable.

wa-innaka latulaqqā l-qur'āna min ladun ḥakīmin ʿalīmi

إِذۡ قَالَ مُوسَىٰ لِأَهۡلِهِۦۤ إِنِّیۤ ءَانَسۡتُ نَارࣰا سَءَاتِیكُم مِّنۡهَا بِخَبَرٍ أَوۡ ءَاتِیكُم بِشِهَابࣲ قَبَسࣲ لَّعَلَّكُمۡ تَصۡطَلُونَ ۝٧

Bakhtiari Nejad

(Remember) when Moses said to his family: “I noticed a fire, I am going to bring some news from it, or I bring a burning stick of it so that you may warm yourselves.”

idh qāla mūsā li-ahlihi innī ānastu nāran saātīkum min'hā bikhabarin aw ātīkum bishihābin qabasin laʿallakum taṣṭalūn

فَلَمَّا جَاۤءَهَا نُودِیَ أَنۢ بُورِكَ مَن فِی ٱلنَّارِ وَمَنۡ حَوۡلَهَا وَسُبۡحَـٰنَ ٱللَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ ۝٨

Bakhtiari Nejad

So, when he got to it, he was called: “Blessed is He who is in the fire and anyone around it, and glory to God, the Lord of humankind,

falammā jāahā nūdiya an būrika man fī l-nāri waman ḥawlahā wasub'ḥāna l-lahi rabbi l-ʿālamīn

یَـٰمُوسَىٰۤ إِنَّهُۥۤ أَنَا ٱللَّهُ ٱلۡعَزِیزُ ٱلۡحَكِیمُ ۝٩

Bakhtiari Nejad

Moses, indeed it is I, God, the powerful, the wise.

yāmūsā innahu anā l-lahu l-ʿazīzu l-ḥakīm

وَأَلۡقِ عَصَاكَۚ فَلَمَّا رَءَاهَا تَهۡتَزُّ كَأَنَّهَا جَاۤنࣱّ وَلَّىٰ مُدۡبِرࣰا وَلَمۡ یُعَقِّبۡۚ یَـٰمُوسَىٰ لَا تَخَفۡ إِنِّی لَا یَخَافُ لَدَیَّ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلُونَ ۝١٠

Bakhtiari Nejad

Throw down your cane.” So, when he saw it wiggling as if it was a serpent, he turned back running away and he did not look back. (He was told:) “Moses, do not be afraid, indeed the messengers are not afraid before Me,

wa-alqi ʿaṣāka falammā raāhā tahtazzu ka-annahā jānnun wallā mud'biran walam yuʿaqqib yāmūsā lā takhaf innī lā yakhāfu ladayya l-mur'salūn

إِلَّا مَن ظَلَمَ ثُمَّ بَدَّلَ حُسۡنَۢا بَعۡدَ سُوۤءࣲ فَإِنِّی غَفُورࣱ رَّحِیمࣱ ۝١١

Bakhtiari Nejad

and neither is anyone who did wrong then he changed to goodness after badness, as indeed I am forgiving and merciful.

illā man ẓalama thumma baddala ḥus'nan baʿda sūin fa-innī ghafūrun raḥīmu

وَأَدۡخِلۡ یَدَكَ فِی جَیۡبِكَ تَخۡرُجۡ بَیۡضَاۤءَ مِنۡ غَیۡرِ سُوۤءࣲۖ فِی تِسۡعِ ءَایَـٰتٍ إِلَىٰ فِرۡعَوۡنَ وَقَوۡمِهِۦۤۚ إِنَّهُمۡ كَانُوا۟ قَوۡمࣰا فَـٰسِقِینَ ۝١٢

Bakhtiari Nejad

And put your hand into the opening of your shirt, it comes out white without any disease, these are among nine miracles for Pharaoh and his people. Indeed, they are disobedient people.”

wa-adkhil yadaka fī jaybika takhruj bayḍāa min ghayri sūin fī tis'ʿi āyātin ilā fir'ʿawna waqawmihi innahum kānū qawman fāsiqīn

فَلَمَّا جَاۤءَتۡهُمۡ ءَایَـٰتُنَا مُبۡصِرَةࣰ قَالُوا۟ هَـٰذَا سِحۡرࣱ مُّبِینࣱ ۝١٣

Bakhtiari Nejad

So, when Our eye-opening miracles came to them, they said: “This is an obvious magic.”

falammā jāathum āyātunā mub'ṣiratan qālū hādhā siḥ'run mubīnu

وَجَحَدُوا۟ بِهَا وَٱسۡتَیۡقَنَتۡهَاۤ أَنفُسُهُمۡ ظُلۡمࣰا وَعُلُوࣰّاۚ فَٱنظُرۡ كَیۡفَ كَانَ عَـٰقِبَةُ ٱلۡمُفۡسِدِینَ ۝١٤

Bakhtiari Nejad

And they rejected it wrongfully and arrogantly while their souls were certain of it. So, see what the end of the corruptors was.

wajaḥadū bihā wa-is'tayqanathā anfusuhum ẓul'man waʿuluwwan fa-unẓur kayfa kāna ʿāqibatu l-muf'sidīn

2 History of Solomon

وَلَقَدۡ ءَاتَیۡنَا دَاوُۥدَ وَسُلَیۡمَـٰنَ عِلۡمࣰاۖ وَقَالَا ٱلۡحَمۡدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِی فَضَّلَنَا عَلَىٰ كَثِیرࣲ مِّنۡ عِبَادِهِ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِینَ ۝١٥

Bakhtiari Nejad

And We certainly gave David and Solomon knowledge, and they both said: “All praise belongs to God, the One Who preferred us over many of His believing servants.”

walaqad ātaynā dāwūda wasulaymāna ʿil'man waqālā l-ḥamdu lillahi alladhī faḍḍalanā ʿalā kathīrin min ʿibādihi l-mu'minīn

وَوَرِثَ سُلَیۡمَـٰنُ دَاوُۥدَۖ وَقَالَ یَـٰۤأَیُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ عُلِّمۡنَا مَنطِقَ ٱلطَّیۡرِ وَأُوتِینَا مِن كُلِّ شَیۡءٍۖ إِنَّ هَـٰذَا لَهُوَ ٱلۡفَضۡلُ ٱلۡمُبِینُ ۝١٦

Bakhtiari Nejad

And Solomon inherited from David, and he said: “People, we were taught the language of the birds, and were given from everything. Indeed, this is the obvious grace.”

wawaritha sulaymānu dāwūda waqāla yāayyuhā l-nāsu ʿullim'nā manṭiqa l-ṭayri waūtīnā min kulli shayin inna hādhā lahuwa l-faḍlu l-mubīn

وَحُشِرَ لِسُلَیۡمَـٰنَ جُنُودُهُۥ مِنَ ٱلۡجِنِّ وَٱلۡإِنسِ وَٱلطَّیۡرِ فَهُمۡ یُوزَعُونَ ۝١٧

Bakhtiari Nejad

And his troops of Jinn and humans and the birds were gathered before Solomon, and they were set in rows.

waḥushira lisulaymāna junūduhu mina l-jini wal-insi wal-ṭayri fahum yūzaʿūn

حَتَّىٰۤ إِذَاۤ أَتَوۡا۟ عَلَىٰ وَادِ ٱلنَّمۡلِ قَالَتۡ نَمۡلَةࣱ یَـٰۤأَیُّهَا ٱلنَّمۡلُ ٱدۡخُلُوا۟ مَسَـٰكِنَكُمۡ لَا یَحۡطِمَنَّكُمۡ سُلَیۡمَـٰنُ وَجُنُودُهُۥ وَهُمۡ لَا یَشۡعُرُونَ ۝١٨

Bakhtiari Nejad

Until when they came to the valley of the ants. An ant said: “Ants, get into your nests, so Solomon and his troops do not crush you while they do not realize.”

ḥattā idhā ataw ʿalā wādi l-namli qālat namlatun yāayyuhā l-namlu ud'khulū masākinakum lā yaḥṭimannakum sulaymānu wajunūduhu wahum lā yashʿurūn

فَتَبَسَّمَ ضَاحِكࣰا مِّن قَوۡلِهَا وَقَالَ رَبِّ أَوۡزِعۡنِیۤ أَنۡ أَشۡكُرَ نِعۡمَتَكَ ٱلَّتِیۤ أَنۡعَمۡتَ عَلَیَّ وَعَلَىٰ وَ ٰلِدَیَّ وَأَنۡ أَعۡمَلَ صَـٰلِحࣰا تَرۡضَىٰهُ وَأَدۡخِلۡنِی بِرَحۡمَتِكَ فِی عِبَادِكَ ٱلصَّـٰلِحِینَ ۝١٩

Bakhtiari Nejad

So, he smiled, laughing from her word and said: “My Lord, enable me to thank for Your favor that You favored upon me and upon my parents, and to do good to please You, and admit me among Your righteous servants by Your mercy.”

fatabassama ḍāḥikan min qawlihā waqāla rabbi awziʿ'nī an ashkura niʿ'mataka allatī anʿamta ʿalayya waʿalā wālidayya wa-an aʿmala ṣāliḥan tarḍāhu wa-adkhil'nī biraḥmatika fī ʿibādika l-ṣāliḥīn

وَتَفَقَّدَ ٱلطَّیۡرَ فَقَالَ مَا لِیَ لَاۤ أَرَى ٱلۡهُدۡهُدَ أَمۡ كَانَ مِنَ ٱلۡغَاۤىِٕبِینَ ۝٢٠

Bakhtiari Nejad

And he inspected the birds, then he said: “What is with me that I do not see the hoopoe, is he absent?

watafaqqada l-ṭayra faqāla mā liya lā arā l-hud'huda am kāna mina l-ghāibīn

لَأُعَذِّبَنَّهُۥ عَذَابࣰا شَدِیدًا أَوۡ لَأَا۟ذۡبَحَنَّهُۥۤ أَوۡ لَیَأۡتِیَنِّی بِسُلۡطَـٰنࣲ مُّبِینࣲ ۝٢١

Bakhtiari Nejad

I shall punish him, a severe punishment, or I shall slaughter him unless he brings me a clear reason.”

la-uʿadhibannahu ʿadhāban shadīdan aw laādh'baḥannahu aw layatiyannī bisul'ṭānin mubīni

فَمَكَثَ غَیۡرَ بَعِیدࣲ فَقَالَ أَحَطتُ بِمَا لَمۡ تُحِطۡ بِهِۦ وَجِئۡتُكَ مِن سَبَإِۭ بِنَبَإࣲ یَقِینٍ ۝٢٢

Bakhtiari Nejad

So, he (the hoopoe) stayed (away) not too long, then he said: “I found out what you did not know it, and I brought you confirmed news from Sheba.

famakatha ghayra baʿīdin faqāla aḥaṭtu bimā lam tuḥiṭ bihi waji'tuka min saba-in binaba-in yaqīni

إِنِّی وَجَدتُّ ٱمۡرَأَةࣰ تَمۡلِكُهُمۡ وَأُوتِیَتۡ مِن كُلِّ شَیۡءࣲ وَلَهَا عَرۡشٌ عَظِیمࣱ ۝٢٣

Bakhtiari Nejad

I found that a woman rules them, and she was given from everything and she has a great throne.

innī wajadttu im'ra-atan tamlikuhum waūtiyat min kulli shayin walahā ʿarshun ʿaẓīmu

وَجَدتُّهَا وَقَوۡمَهَا یَسۡجُدُونَ لِلشَّمۡسِ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ وَزَیَّنَ لَهُمُ ٱلشَّیۡطَـٰنُ أَعۡمَـٰلَهُمۡ فَصَدَّهُمۡ عَنِ ٱلسَّبِیلِ فَهُمۡ لَا یَهۡتَدُونَ ۝٢٤

Bakhtiari Nejad

I found her and her people prostrate (and show humbleness) to the sun instead of God, and Satan beautified their deeds for them, and kept them away from the (right) way, so they are not guided,

wajadttuhā waqawmahā yasjudūna lilshamsi min dūni l-lahi wazayyana lahumu l-shayṭānu aʿmālahum faṣaddahum ʿani l-sabīli fahum lā yahtadūn

أَ̅لَّ̅ا̅ ̅یَ̅سۡ̅جُ̅دُ̅و̅ا۟̅ ̅لِ̅لَّ̅هِ̅ ٱلَّذِی یُخۡرِجُ ٱلۡخَبۡءَ فِی ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَیَعۡلَمُ مَا تُخۡفُونَ وَمَا تُعۡلِنُونَ ۝٢٥

Bakhtiari Nejad

so, they do not prostrate before God, the One Who brings out the hidden things in the skies and the earth, and He knows what you hide and what you disclose.

allā yasjudū lillahi alladhī yukh'riju l-khaba-a fī l-samāwāti wal-arḍi wayaʿlamu mā tukh'fūna wamā tuʿ'linūn

ٱللَّهُ لَاۤ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ رَبُّ ٱلۡعَرۡشِ ٱلۡعَظِیمِ ۝٢٦ ۩

Bakhtiari Nejad

God, there is no god except Him, the Lord of the great dominion.”

al-lahu lā ilāha illā huwa rabbu l-ʿarshi l-ʿaẓīm

۞ قَالَ سَنَنظُرُ أَصَدَقۡتَ أَمۡ كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلۡكَـٰذِبِینَ ۝٢٧

Bakhtiari Nejad

He (Solomon) said: “We will see if you told the truth or you are of the liars,

qāla sananẓuru aṣadaqta am kunta mina l-kādhibīn

ٱذۡهَب بِّكِتَـٰبِی هَـٰذَا فَأَلۡقِهۡ إِلَیۡهِمۡ ثُمَّ تَوَلَّ عَنۡهُمۡ فَٱنظُرۡ مَاذَا یَرۡجِعُونَ ۝٢٨

Bakhtiari Nejad

go with this letter of mine and deliver it to them, then leave them and see what they return (as answer).”

idh'hab bikitābī hādhā fa-alqih ilayhim thumma tawalla ʿanhum fa-unẓur mādhā yarjiʿūn

قَالَتۡ یَـٰۤأَیُّهَا ٱلۡمَلَؤُا۟ إِنِّیۤ أُلۡقِیَ إِلَیَّ كِتَـٰبࣱ كَرِیمٌ ۝٢٩

Bakhtiari Nejad

She (the queen of Sheba) said: “Counselors, indeed an honorable letter was delivered to me.

qālat yāayyuhā l-mala-u innī ul'qiya ilayya kitābun karīmu

إِنَّهُۥ مِن سُلَیۡمَـٰنَ وَإِنَّهُۥ بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِیمِ ۝٣٠

Bakhtiari Nejad

It is from Solomon, and it (reads:) “In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Merciful,

innahu min sulaymāna wa-innahu bis'mi l-lahi l-raḥmāni l-raḥīm

أَلَّا تَعۡلُوا۟ عَلَیَّ وَأۡتُونِی مُسۡلِمِینَ ۝٣١

Bakhtiari Nejad

do not be arrogant against me, and come to me surrendered.””

allā taʿlū ʿalayya watūnī mus'limīn

3 History of Solomon

قَالَتۡ یَـٰۤأَیُّهَا ٱلۡمَلَؤُا۟ أَفۡتُونِی فِیۤ أَمۡرِی مَا كُنتُ قَاطِعَةً أَمۡرًا حَتَّىٰ تَشۡهَدُونِ ۝٣٢

Bakhtiari Nejad

She said: “Counselors, advise me in my affair, for I am not to decide on any matter until you are present (and bear witness).”

qālat yāayyuhā l-mala-u aftūnī fī amrī mā kuntu qāṭiʿatan amran ḥattā tashhadūn

قَالُوا۟ نَحۡنُ أُو۟لُوا۟ قُوَّةࣲ وَأُو۟لُوا۟ بَأۡسࣲ شَدِیدࣲ وَٱلۡأَمۡرُ إِلَیۡكِ فَٱنظُرِی مَاذَا تَأۡمُرِینَ ۝٣٣

Bakhtiari Nejad

They said: “We have power and we have great fighting (capabilities), but the command is yours, so see what you command.”

qālū naḥnu ulū quwwatin wa-ulū basin shadīdin wal-amru ilayki fa-unẓurī mādhā tamurīn

قَالَتۡ إِنَّ ٱلۡمُلُوكَ إِذَا دَخَلُوا۟ قَرۡیَةً أَفۡسَدُوهَا وَجَعَلُوۤا۟ أَعِزَّةَ أَهۡلِهَاۤ أَذِلَّةࣰۚ وَكَذَ ٰلِكَ یَفۡعَلُونَ ۝٣٤

Bakhtiari Nejad

She said: “Indeed when the kings enter any town, they ruin it, and they make its most powerful (and respected) people most humiliated, and that is what they do.

qālat inna l-mulūka idhā dakhalū qaryatan afsadūhā wajaʿalū aʿizzata ahlihā adhillatan wakadhālika yafʿalūn

وَإِنِّی مُرۡسِلَةٌ إِلَیۡهِم بِهَدِیَّةࣲ فَنَاظِرَةُۢ بِمَ یَرۡجِعُ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلُونَ ۝٣٥

Bakhtiari Nejad

I am going to send them a gift and see what the messengers return with.”

wa-innī mur'silatun ilayhim bihadiyyatin fanāẓiratun bima yarjiʿu l-mur'salūn

فَلَمَّا جَاۤءَ سُلَیۡمَـٰنَ قَالَ أَتُمِدُّونَنِ بِمَالࣲ فَمَاۤ ءَاتَىٰنِۦَ ٱللَّهُ خَیۡرࣱ مِّمَّاۤ ءَاتَىٰكُمۚ بَلۡ أَنتُم بِهَدِیَّتِكُمۡ تَفۡرَحُونَ ۝٣٦

Bakhtiari Nejad

So, when he came to Solomon, he (Solomon) said: “Do you help me with wealth? What God has given me is better than what He gave you, yet you are happy about your gift!

falammā jāa sulaymāna qāla atumiddūnani bimālin famā ātāniya l-lahu khayrun mimmā ātākum bal antum bihadiyyatikum tafraḥūn

ٱرۡجِعۡ إِلَیۡهِمۡ فَلَنَأۡتِیَنَّهُم بِجُنُودࣲ لَّا قِبَلَ لَهُم بِهَا وَلَنُخۡرِجَنَّهُم مِّنۡهَاۤ أَذِلَّةࣰ وَهُمۡ صَـٰغِرُونَ ۝٣٧

Bakhtiari Nejad

Return to them, for we shall come to them with troops that they have no power to face it, and we shall drive them out of there in humiliation while they are subdued.”

ir'jiʿ ilayhim falanatiyannahum bijunūdin lā qibala lahum bihā walanukh'rijannahum min'hā adhillatan wahum ṣāghirūn

قَالَ یَـٰۤأَیُّهَا ٱلۡمَلَؤُا۟ أَیُّكُمۡ یَأۡتِینِی بِعَرۡشِهَا قَبۡلَ أَن یَأۡتُونِی مُسۡلِمِینَ ۝٣٨

Bakhtiari Nejad

He said: “Counselors, which one of you brings me her throne before they come to me surrendered?”

qāla yāayyuhā l-mala-u ayyukum yatīnī biʿarshihā qabla an yatūnī mus'limīn

قَالَ عِفۡرِیتࣱ مِّنَ ٱلۡجِنِّ أَنَا۠ ءَاتِیكَ بِهِۦ قَبۡلَ أَن تَقُومَ مِن مَّقَامِكَۖ وَإِنِّی عَلَیۡهِ لَقَوِیٌّ أَمِینࣱ ۝٣٩

Bakhtiari Nejad

A cunning Jinn said: “I bring it to you before you get up from your place, and I am certainly strong and honest for it.”

qāla ʿif'rītun mina l-jini anā ātīka bihi qabla an taqūma min maqāmika wa-innī ʿalayhi laqawiyyun amīnu

قَالَ ٱلَّذِی عِندَهُۥ عِلۡمࣱ مِّنَ ٱلۡكِتَـٰبِ أَنَا۠ ءَاتِیكَ بِهِۦ قَبۡلَ أَن یَرۡتَدَّ إِلَیۡكَ طَرۡفُكَۚ فَلَمَّا رَءَاهُ مُسۡتَقِرًّا عِندَهُۥ قَالَ هَـٰذَا مِن فَضۡلِ رَبِّی لِیَبۡلُوَنِیۤ ءَأَشۡكُرُ أَمۡ أَكۡفُرُۖ وَمَن شَكَرَ فَإِنَّمَا یَشۡكُرُ لِنَفۡسِهِۦۖ وَمَن كَفَرَ فَإِنَّ رَبِّی غَنِیࣱّ كَرِیمࣱ ۝٤٠

Bakhtiari Nejad

Someone who had knowledge of the book said: “I bring it to you before you blink.” So, when he saw it placed before him, he said: “This is from my Lord's grace in order to test me whether I am grateful or ungrateful, and whoever is grateful then he is only grateful for himself, and whoever is ungrateful then indeed my Lord is rich (without need) and noble.”

qāla alladhī ʿindahu ʿil'mun mina l-kitābi anā ātīka bihi qabla an yartadda ilayka ṭarfuka falammā raāhu mus'taqirran ʿindahu qāla hādhā min faḍli rabbī liyabluwanī a-ashkuru am akfuru waman shakara fa-innamā yashkuru linafsihi waman kafara fa-inna rabbī ghaniyyun karīmu

قَالَ نَكِّرُوا۟ لَهَا عَرۡشَهَا نَنظُرۡ أَتَهۡتَدِیۤ أَمۡ تَكُونُ مِنَ ٱلَّذِینَ لَا یَهۡتَدُونَ ۝٤١

Bakhtiari Nejad

He said: “Disguise her throne for her, so we see if she discovers it, or she is one of those who do not discover.”

qāla nakkirū lahā ʿarshahā nanẓur atahtadī am takūnu mina alladhīna lā yahtadūn

فَلَمَّا جَاۤءَتۡ قِیلَ أَهَـٰكَذَا عَرۡشُكِۖ قَالَتۡ كَأَنَّهُۥ هُوَۚ وَأُوتِینَا ٱلۡعِلۡمَ مِن قَبۡلِهَا وَكُنَّا مُسۡلِمِینَ ۝٤٢

Bakhtiari Nejad

So, when she came, she was told: “Is your throne like this?” She said: “It is like that, and we were given knowledge before that, and we were surrendered.”

falammā jāat qīla ahākadhā ʿarshuki qālat ka-annahu huwa waūtīnā l-ʿil'ma min qablihā wakunnā mus'limīn

وَصَدَّهَا مَا كَانَت تَّعۡبُدُ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِۖ إِنَّهَا كَانَتۡ مِن قَوۡمࣲ كَـٰفِرِینَ ۝٤٣

Bakhtiari Nejad

And what she used to serve besides God held her off (from the truth). Indeed, she was one of the disbelieving people.

waṣaddahā mā kānat taʿbudu min dūni l-lahi innahā kānat min qawmin kāfirīn

قِیلَ لَهَا ٱدۡخُلِی ٱلصَّرۡحَۖ فَلَمَّا رَأَتۡهُ حَسِبَتۡهُ لُجَّةࣰ وَكَشَفَتۡ عَن سَاقَیۡهَاۚ قَالَ إِنَّهُۥ صَرۡحࣱ مُّمَرَّدࣱ مِّن قَوَارِیرَۗ قَالَتۡ رَبِّ إِنِّی ظَلَمۡتُ نَفۡسِی وَأَسۡلَمۡتُ مَعَ سُلَیۡمَـٰنَ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ ۝٤٤

Bakhtiari Nejad

She was told: “Enter the palace.” So, when she saw it, she thought it was deep water and she exposed her legs (by pulling up her dress). He said: “It is a palace paved with glasses/crystals.” She said: “My Lord, indeed I did wrong to myself, and I submit with Solomon to God, the Lord of humankind.”

qīla lahā ud'khulī l-ṣarḥa falammā ra-athu ḥasibathu lujjatan wakashafat ʿan sāqayhā qāla innahu ṣarḥun mumarradun min qawārīra qālat rabbi innī ẓalamtu nafsī wa-aslamtu maʿa sulaymāna lillahi rabbi l-ʿālamīn

4 Salih and Lot

وَلَقَدۡ أَرۡسَلۡنَاۤ إِلَىٰ ثَمُودَ أَخَاهُمۡ صَـٰلِحًا أَنِ ٱعۡبُدُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ فَإِذَا هُمۡ فَرِیقَانِ یَخۡتَصِمُونَ ۝٤٥

Bakhtiari Nejad

And we certainly sent their brother Salih to Thamud (saying:) “Serve God.” Then all of a sudden, they were two groups disputing (with each other).

walaqad arsalnā ilā thamūda akhāhum ṣāliḥan ani uʿ'budū l-laha fa-idhā hum farīqāni yakhtaṣimūn

قَالَ یَـٰقَوۡمِ لِمَ تَسۡتَعۡجِلُونَ بِٱلسَّیِّئَةِ قَبۡلَ ٱلۡحَسَنَةِۖ لَوۡلَا تَسۡتَغۡفِرُونَ ٱللَّهَ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تُرۡحَمُونَ ۝٤٦

Bakhtiari Nejad

He said: “My people, why do you rush to badness before goodness, why do you not ask forgiveness from God, so that you may receive mercy?”

qāla yāqawmi lima tastaʿjilūna bil-sayi-ati qabla l-ḥasanati lawlā tastaghfirūna l-laha laʿallakum tur'ḥamūn

قَالُوا۟ ٱطَّیَّرۡنَا بِكَ وَبِمَن مَّعَكَۚ قَالَ طَـٰۤىِٕرُكُمۡ عِندَ ٱللَّهِۖ بَلۡ أَنتُمۡ قَوۡمࣱ تُفۡتَنُونَ ۝٤٧

Bakhtiari Nejad

They said: “We consider you and anyone with you as bad omen.” He said: “Your bad omen is from God, but you are a (group of) people being tested.”

qālū iṭṭayyarnā bika wabiman maʿaka qāla ṭāirukum ʿinda l-lahi bal antum qawmun tuf'tanūn

وَكَانَ فِی ٱلۡمَدِینَةِ تِسۡعَةُ رَهۡطࣲ یُفۡسِدُونَ فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَلَا یُصۡلِحُونَ ۝٤٨

Bakhtiari Nejad

And they were nine heads of families in the city committing corruption in the land, and would not reform.

wakāna fī l-madīnati tis'ʿatu rahṭin yuf'sidūna fī l-arḍi walā yuṣ'liḥūn

قَالُوا۟ تَقَاسَمُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ لَنُبَیِّتَنَّهُۥ وَأَهۡلَهُۥ ثُمَّ لَنَقُولَنَّ لِوَلِیِّهِۦ مَا شَهِدۡنَا مَهۡلِكَ أَهۡلِهِۦ وَإِنَّا لَصَـٰدِقُونَ ۝٤٩

Bakhtiari Nejad

They said: “(Let us) swear by God that we shall attack (and kill) him and his family at night, then we shall say to his heirs (and friends) that we were not present at the killing of his family, and we are certainly truthful.”

qālū taqāsamū bil-lahi lanubayyitannahu wa-ahlahu thumma lanaqūlanna liwaliyyihi mā shahid'nā mahlika ahlihi wa-innā laṣādiqūn

وَمَكَرُوا۟ مَكۡرࣰا وَمَكَرۡنَا مَكۡرࣰا وَهُمۡ لَا یَشۡعُرُونَ ۝٥٠

Bakhtiari Nejad

They plotted a plot, and We devised a plan, and they do not realize.

wamakarū makran wamakarnā makran wahum lā yashʿurūn

فَٱنظُرۡ كَیۡفَ كَانَ عَـٰقِبَةُ مَكۡرِهِمۡ أَنَّا دَمَّرۡنَـٰهُمۡ وَقَوۡمَهُمۡ أَجۡمَعِینَ ۝٥١

Bakhtiari Nejad

So, see what the end of their plot was, We destroyed them and their people altogether.

fa-unẓur kayfa kāna ʿāqibatu makrihim annā dammarnāhum waqawmahum ajmaʿīn

فَتِلۡكَ بُیُوتُهُمۡ خَاوِیَةَۢ بِمَا ظَلَمُوۤا۟ۚ إِنَّ فِی ذَ ٰلِكَ لَءَایَةࣰ لِّقَوۡمࣲ یَعۡلَمُونَ ۝٥٢

Bakhtiari Nejad

These are their houses, fallen down (and ruined) because of what they did wrong. Indeed, there is a sign in that for people who know.

fatil'ka buyūtuhum khāwiyatan bimā ẓalamū inna fī dhālika laāyatan liqawmin yaʿlamūn

وَأَنجَیۡنَا ٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَكَانُوا۟ یَتَّقُونَ ۝٥٣

Bakhtiari Nejad

And We saved those who believed and were cautious (of God).

wa-anjaynā alladhīna āmanū wakānū yattaqūn

وَلُوطًا إِذۡ قَالَ لِقَوۡمِهِۦۤ أَتَأۡتُونَ ٱلۡفَـٰحِشَةَ وَأَنتُمۡ تُبۡصِرُونَ ۝٥٤

Bakhtiari Nejad

And (remember) Lot when he said to his people: “Do you commit the indecency while you see (and notice your bad deed)?

walūṭan idh qāla liqawmihi atatūna l-fāḥishata wa-antum tub'ṣirūn

أَىِٕنَّكُمۡ لَتَأۡتُونَ ٱلرِّجَالَ شَهۡوَةࣰ مِّن دُونِ ٱلنِّسَاۤءِۚ بَلۡ أَنتُمۡ قَوۡمࣱ تَجۡهَلُونَ ۝٥٥

Bakhtiari Nejad

Do you approach men lustfully instead of women? You are ignorant people.”

a-innakum latatūna l-rijāla shahwatan min dūni l-nisāi bal antum qawmun tajhalūn

۞ فَمَا كَانَ جَوَابَ قَوۡمِهِۦۤ إِلَّاۤ أَن قَالُوۤا۟ أَخۡرِجُوۤا۟ ءَالَ لُوطࣲ مِّن قَرۡیَتِكُمۡۖ إِنَّهُمۡ أُنَاسࣱ یَتَطَهَّرُونَ ۝٥٦

Bakhtiari Nejad

And the answer of his people was only to say: “Drive Lot’s family out of your town, they are people who pretend to be (or want to remain) pure.”

famā kāna jawāba qawmihi illā an qālū akhrijū āla lūṭin min qaryatikum innahum unāsun yataṭahharūn

فَأَنجَیۡنَـٰهُ وَأَهۡلَهُۥۤ إِلَّا ٱمۡرَأَتَهُۥ قَدَّرۡنَـٰهَا مِنَ ٱلۡغَـٰبِرِینَ ۝٥٧

Bakhtiari Nejad

So, We saved him and his family except his wife, whom We destined her among those staying behind.

fa-anjaynāhu wa-ahlahu illā im'ra-atahu qaddarnāhā mina l-ghābirīn

وَأَمۡطَرۡنَا عَلَیۡهِم مَّطَرࣰاۖ فَسَاۤءَ مَطَرُ ٱلۡمُنذَرِینَ ۝٥٨

Bakhtiari Nejad

And We poured down a rain (of stone) on them, and it was an awful rain on those who were warned.

wa-amṭarnā ʿalayhim maṭaran fasāa maṭaru l-mundharīn

5 The Faithful will be exalted

قُلِ ٱلۡحَمۡدُ لِلَّهِ وَسَلَـٰمٌ عَلَىٰ عِبَادِهِ ٱلَّذِینَ ٱصۡطَفَىٰۤۗ ءَاۤللَّهُ خَیۡرٌ أَمَّا یُشۡرِكُونَ ۝٥٩

Bakhtiari Nejad

Say: “All praise belongs to God, and peace (and well-being) upon His servants whom He has chosen. Is God better or what you associate (with Him)?”

quli l-ḥamdu lillahi wasalāmun ʿalā ʿibādihi alladhīna iṣ'ṭafā āllahu khayrun ammā yush'rikūn

أَمَّنۡ خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ وَأَنزَلَ لَكُم مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَاۤءِ مَاۤءࣰ فَأَنۢبَتۡنَا بِهِۦ حَدَاۤىِٕقَ ذَاتَ بَهۡجَةࣲ مَّا كَانَ لَكُمۡ أَن تُنۢبِتُوا۟ شَجَرَهَاۤۗ أَءِلَـٰهࣱ مَّعَ ٱللَّهِۚ بَلۡ هُمۡ قَوۡمࣱ یَعۡدِلُونَ ۝٦٠

Bakhtiari Nejad

Or who has created the skies and the earth and sent down rain for you from the sky? So, We grew beautiful (and delightful) gardens with it that you could not grow their trees. Is there a god with God? No, but they are people who set up equals (for God).

amman khalaqa l-samāwāti wal-arḍa wa-anzala lakum mina l-samāi māan fa-anbatnā bihi ḥadāiqa dhāta bahjatin mā kāna lakum an tunbitū shajarahā a-ilāhun maʿa l-lahi bal hum qawmun yaʿdilūn

أَمَّن جَعَلَ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ قَرَارࣰا وَجَعَلَ خِلَـٰلَهَاۤ أَنۡهَـٰرࣰا وَجَعَلَ لَهَا رَوَ ٰسِیَ وَجَعَلَ بَیۡنَ ٱلۡبَحۡرَیۡنِ حَاجِزًاۗ أَءِلَـٰهࣱ مَّعَ ٱللَّهِۚ بَلۡ أَكۡثَرُهُمۡ لَا یَعۡلَمُونَ ۝٦١

Bakhtiari Nejad

Or who has made the earth a habitat and placed rivers through it and placed mountains for it and placed a barrier between the two seas? Is there a god with God? No, but most of them do not know.

amman jaʿala l-arḍa qarāran wajaʿala khilālahā anhāran wajaʿala lahā rawāsiya wajaʿala bayna l-baḥrayni ḥājizan a-ilāhun maʿa l-lahi bal aktharuhum lā yaʿlamūn

أَمَّن یُجِیبُ ٱلۡمُضۡطَرَّ إِذَا دَعَاهُ وَیَكۡشِفُ ٱلسُّوۤءَ وَیَجۡعَلُكُمۡ خُلَفَاۤءَ ٱلۡأَرۡضِۗ أَءِلَـٰهࣱ مَّعَ ٱللَّهِۚ قَلِیلࣰا مَّا تَذَكَّرُونَ ۝٦٢

Bakhtiari Nejad

Or who answers the distressed when he prays to Him, and He removes badness and makes you successors (inheritors) on the earth? Is there a god with God? You take little notice.

amman yujību l-muḍ'ṭara idhā daʿāhu wayakshifu l-sūa wayajʿalukum khulafāa l-arḍi a-ilāhun maʿa l-lahi qalīlan mā tadhakkarūn

أَمَّن یَهۡدِیكُمۡ فِی ظُلُمَـٰتِ ٱلۡبَرِّ وَٱلۡبَحۡرِ وَمَن یُرۡسِلُ ٱلرِّیَـٰحَ بُشۡرَۢا بَیۡنَ یَدَیۡ رَحۡمَتِهِۦۤۗ أَءِلَـٰهࣱ مَّعَ ٱللَّهِۚ تَعَـٰلَى ٱللَّهُ عَمَّا یُشۡرِكُونَ ۝٦٣

Bakhtiari Nejad

Or who guides you in darkness of the land and the sea and who sends the winds as good news before His mercy? Is there a god with God? God is above what they associate (with Him).

amman yahdīkum fī ẓulumāti l-bari wal-baḥri waman yur'silu l-riyāḥa bush'ran bayna yaday raḥmatihi a-ilāhun maʿa l-lahi taʿālā l-lahu ʿammā yush'rikūn

أَمَّن یَبۡدَؤُا۟ ٱلۡخَلۡقَ ثُمَّ یُعِیدُهُۥ وَمَن یَرۡزُقُكُم مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَاۤءِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۗ أَءِلَـٰهࣱ مَّعَ ٱللَّهِۚ قُلۡ هَاتُوا۟ بُرۡهَـٰنَكُمۡ إِن كُنتُمۡ صَـٰدِقِینَ ۝٦٤

Bakhtiari Nejad

Or who has started the creation then brings it back and provides for you from the sky and the earth? Is there a god with God? Say: “Bring your proof if you are truthful.”

amman yabda-u l-khalqa thumma yuʿīduhu waman yarzuqukum mina l-samāi wal-arḍi a-ilāhun maʿa l-lahi qul hātū bur'hānakum in kuntum ṣādiqīn

قُل لَّا یَعۡلَمُ مَن فِی ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ ٱلۡغَیۡبَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُۚ وَمَا یَشۡعُرُونَ أَیَّانَ یُبۡعَثُونَ ۝٦٥

Bakhtiari Nejad

Say: “No one in the skies and on the earth knows the unseen except God, and they do not realize when they will be raised.”

qul lā yaʿlamu man fī l-samāwāti wal-arḍi l-ghayba illā l-lahu wamā yashʿurūna ayyāna yub'ʿathūn

بَلِ ٱدَّ ٰرَكَ عِلۡمُهُمۡ فِی ٱلۡءَاخِرَةِۚ بَلۡ هُمۡ فِی شَكࣲّ مِّنۡهَاۖ بَلۡ هُم مِّنۡهَا عَمُونَ ۝٦٦

Bakhtiari Nejad

No, but their knowledge falls short about the Hereafter, rather they are in doubt about it, or they are blind about it.

bali iddāraka ʿil'muhum fī l-ākhirati bal hum fī shakkin min'hā bal hum min'hā ʿamūn

6 Appeal to Human Nature

وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوۤا۟ أَءِذَا كُنَّا تُرَ ٰبࣰا وَءَابَاۤؤُنَاۤ أَىِٕنَّا لَمُخۡرَجُونَ ۝٦٧

Bakhtiari Nejad

And those who disbelieve say: “Are we brought out when we and our fathers have become dust?

waqāla alladhīna kafarū a-idhā kunnā turāban waābāunā a-innā lamukh'rajūn

لَقَدۡ وُعِدۡنَا هَـٰذَا نَحۡنُ وَءَابَاۤؤُنَا مِن قَبۡلُ إِنۡ هَـٰذَاۤ إِلَّاۤ أَسَـٰطِیرُ ٱلۡأَوَّلِینَ ۝٦٨

Bakhtiari Nejad

We and our fathers have certainly been promised this in the past. This is only stories of the earlier ones.”

laqad wuʿid'nā hādhā naḥnu waābāunā min qablu in hādhā illā asāṭīru l-awalīn

قُلۡ سِیرُوا۟ فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ فَٱنظُرُوا۟ كَیۡفَ كَانَ عَـٰقِبَةُ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِینَ ۝٦٩

Bakhtiari Nejad

Say: “Travel throughout the earth and see what the end of the guilty ones was.”

qul sīrū fī l-arḍi fa-unẓurū kayfa kāna ʿāqibatu l-muj'rimīn

وَلَا تَحۡزَنۡ عَلَیۡهِمۡ وَلَا تَكُن فِی ضَیۡقࣲ مِّمَّا یَمۡكُرُونَ ۝٧٠

Bakhtiari Nejad

And do not be sad about them, and do not be troubled from what they plot.

walā taḥzan ʿalayhim walā takun fī ḍayqin mimmā yamkurūn

وَیَقُولُونَ مَتَىٰ هَـٰذَا ٱلۡوَعۡدُ إِن كُنتُمۡ صَـٰدِقِینَ ۝٧١

Bakhtiari Nejad

And they say: “When is this promise if you are truthful?”

wayaqūlūna matā hādhā l-waʿdu in kuntum ṣādiqīn

قُلۡ عَسَىٰۤ أَن یَكُونَ رَدِفَ لَكُم بَعۡضُ ٱلَّذِی تَسۡتَعۡجِلُونَ ۝٧٢

Bakhtiari Nejad

Say: “Perhaps, some of what you want to be rushed is right behind you.”

qul ʿasā an yakūna radifa lakum baʿḍu alladhī tastaʿjilūn

وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَذُو فَضۡلٍ عَلَى ٱلنَّاسِ وَلَـٰكِنَّ أَكۡثَرَهُمۡ لَا یَشۡكُرُونَ ۝٧٣

Bakhtiari Nejad

And indeed, your Lord is graceful to the people, but most of them do not give thanks.

wa-inna rabbaka ladhū faḍlin ʿalā l-nāsi walākinna aktharahum lā yashkurūn

وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَیَعۡلَمُ مَا تُكِنُّ صُدُورُهُمۡ وَمَا یُعۡلِنُونَ ۝٧٤

Bakhtiari Nejad

And indeed, your Lord knows what their chests/minds hide and what they disclose,

wa-inna rabbaka layaʿlamu mā tukinnu ṣudūruhum wamā yuʿ'linūn

وَمَا مِنۡ غَاۤىِٕبَةࣲ فِی ٱلسَّمَاۤءِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ إِلَّا فِی كِتَـٰبࣲ مُّبِینٍ ۝٧٥

Bakhtiari Nejad

and there is nothing hidden in the skies and on the earth unless it is in a clear book.

wamā min ghāibatin fī l-samāi wal-arḍi illā fī kitābin mubīni

إِنَّ هَـٰذَا ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ یَقُصُّ عَلَىٰ بَنِیۤ إِسۡرَ ٰۤءِیلَ أَكۡثَرَ ٱلَّذِی هُمۡ فِیهِ یَخۡتَلِفُونَ ۝٧٦

Bakhtiari Nejad

Indeed, this Quran tells the children of Israel most of what they disagree about.

inna hādhā l-qur'āna yaquṣṣu ʿalā banī is'rāīla akthara alladhī hum fīhi yakhtalifūn

وَإِنَّهُۥ لَهُدࣰى وَرَحۡمَةࣱ لِّلۡمُؤۡمِنِینَ ۝٧٧

Bakhtiari Nejad

And indeed, it is a guide and a mercy for the believers.

wa-innahu lahudan waraḥmatun lil'mu'minīn

إِنَّ رَبَّكَ یَقۡضِی بَیۡنَهُم بِحُكۡمِهِۦۚ وَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِیزُ ٱلۡعَلِیمُ ۝٧٨

Bakhtiari Nejad

Your Lord judges between them with His judgment, and He is the powerful and the knowledgeable.

inna rabbaka yaqḍī baynahum biḥuk'mihi wahuwa l-ʿazīzu l-ʿalīm

فَتَوَكَّلۡ عَلَى ٱللَّهِۖ إِنَّكَ عَلَى ٱلۡحَقِّ ٱلۡمُبِینِ ۝٧٩

Bakhtiari Nejad

So, put your trust in God, indeed you are on the clear truth.

fatawakkal ʿalā l-lahi innaka ʿalā l-ḥaqi l-mubīn

إِنَّكَ لَا تُسۡمِعُ ٱلۡمَوۡتَىٰ وَلَا تُسۡمِعُ ٱلصُّمَّ ٱلدُّعَاۤءَ إِذَا وَلَّوۡا۟ مُدۡبِرِینَ ۝٨٠

Bakhtiari Nejad

Indeed, you cannot make the dead hear, or make the deaf hear the call when they turn back going away.

innaka lā tus'miʿu l-mawtā walā tus'miʿu l-ṣuma l-duʿāa idhā wallaw mud'birīn

وَمَاۤ أَنتَ بِهَـٰدِی ٱلۡعُمۡیِ عَن ضَلَـٰلَتِهِمۡۖ إِن تُسۡمِعُ إِلَّا مَن یُؤۡمِنُ بِءَایَـٰتِنَا فَهُم مُّسۡلِمُونَ ۝٨١

Bakhtiari Nejad

And you are not a guide to the blind (who does not want to see the truth) about their error. You can only make those listen who believe in Our signs and they are submitted.

wamā anta bihādī l-ʿum'yi ʿan ḍalālatihim in tus'miʿu illā man yu'minu biāyātinā fahum mus'limūn

۞ وَإِذَا وَقَعَ ٱلۡقَوۡلُ عَلَیۡهِمۡ أَخۡرَجۡنَا لَهُمۡ دَاۤبَّةࣰ مِّنَ ٱلۡأَرۡضِ تُكَلِّمُهُمۡ أَنَّ ٱلنَّاسَ كَانُوا۟ بِءَایَـٰتِنَا لَا یُوقِنُونَ ۝٨٢

Bakhtiari Nejad

And when the word (of punishment) happens to them, We bring out a creature from the earth for them, telling them that people were not sure of Our signs.

wa-idhā waqaʿa l-qawlu ʿalayhim akhrajnā lahum dābbatan mina l-arḍi tukallimuhum anna l-nāsa kānū biāyātinā lā yūqinūn

7 Overthrow of Opposition

وَیَوۡمَ نَحۡشُرُ مِن كُلِّ أُمَّةࣲ فَوۡجࣰا مِّمَّن یُكَذِّبُ بِءَایَـٰتِنَا فَهُمۡ یُوزَعُونَ ۝٨٣

Bakhtiari Nejad

And on the day when We gather from every community a group of those who denied Our signs, and they are set in rows.

wayawma naḥshuru min kulli ummatin fawjan mimman yukadhibu biāyātinā fahum yūzaʿūn

حَتَّىٰۤ إِذَا جَاۤءُو قَالَ أَكَذَّبۡتُم بِءَایَـٰتِی وَلَمۡ تُحِیطُوا۟ بِهَا عِلۡمًا أَمَّاذَا كُنتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُونَ ۝٨٤

Bakhtiari Nejad

Until when they come (for judgment), He says: “Did you deny My signs while you did not fully understand them by (your) knowledge, what were you doing?”

ḥattā idhā jāū qāla akadhabtum biāyātī walam tuḥīṭū bihā ʿil'man ammādhā kuntum taʿmalūn

وَوَقَعَ ٱلۡقَوۡلُ عَلَیۡهِم بِمَا ظَلَمُوا۟ فَهُمۡ لَا یَنطِقُونَ ۝٨٥

Bakhtiari Nejad

And the word (of punishment) will happen to them because of what they did wrong, and they will not speak (a word).

wawaqaʿa l-qawlu ʿalayhim bimā ẓalamū fahum lā yanṭiqūn

أَلَمۡ یَرَوۡا۟ أَنَّا جَعَلۡنَا ٱلَّیۡلَ لِیَسۡكُنُوا۟ فِیهِ وَٱلنَّهَارَ مُبۡصِرًاۚ إِنَّ فِی ذَ ٰلِكَ لَءَایَـٰتࣲ لِّقَوۡمࣲ یُؤۡمِنُونَ ۝٨٦

Bakhtiari Nejad

Did they not see that We made the night in order to rest in it, and the day to see. There are certainly signs in that for people who believe.

alam yaraw annā jaʿalnā al-layla liyaskunū fīhi wal-nahāra mub'ṣiran inna fī dhālika laāyātin liqawmin yu'minūn

وَیَوۡمَ یُنفَخُ فِی ٱلصُّورِ فَفَزِعَ مَن فِی ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَمَن فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ إِلَّا مَن شَاۤءَ ٱللَّهُۚ وَكُلٌّ أَتَوۡهُ دَ ٰخِرِینَ ۝٨٧

Bakhtiari Nejad

And on the day the horn is blown, everyone in the skies and everyone on the earth are scared except those whom God wants, and they all come to Him humbled.

wayawma yunfakhu fī l-ṣūri fafaziʿa man fī l-samāwāti waman fī l-arḍi illā man shāa l-lahu wakullun atawhu dākhirīn

وَتَرَى ٱلۡجِبَالَ تَحۡسَبُهَا جَامِدَةࣰ وَهِیَ تَمُرُّ مَرَّ ٱلسَّحَابِۚ صُنۡعَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلَّذِیۤ أَتۡقَنَ كُلَّ شَیۡءٍۚ إِنَّهُۥ خَبِیرُۢ بِمَا تَفۡعَلُونَ ۝٨٨

Bakhtiari Nejad

And you see the mountains, thinking they are motionless while they move as the clouds move. God’s making, the One Who made everything perfect. Indeed, He is well aware of what you do.

watarā l-jibāla taḥsabuhā jāmidatan wahiya tamurru marra l-saḥābi ṣun'ʿa l-lahi alladhī atqana kulla shayin innahu khabīrun bimā tafʿalūn

مَن جَاۤءَ بِٱلۡحَسَنَةِ فَلَهُۥ خَیۡرࣱ مِّنۡهَا وَهُم مِّن فَزَعࣲ یَوۡمَىِٕذٍ ءَامِنُونَ ۝٨٩

Bakhtiari Nejad

Anyone who comes with good (deeds), then there is better than that for him, and they are safe from fear on that day.

man jāa bil-ḥasanati falahu khayrun min'hā wahum min fazaʿin yawma-idhin āminūn

وَمَن جَاۤءَ بِٱلسَّیِّئَةِ فَكُبَّتۡ وُجُوهُهُمۡ فِی ٱلنَّارِ هَلۡ تُجۡزَوۡنَ إِلَّا مَا كُنتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُونَ ۝٩٠

Bakhtiari Nejad

And anyone who comes with bad (deeds), then he is thrown down into the fire on their faces, (and they are told:) “Are you being paid back (for anything) except for what you used to do?”

waman jāa bil-sayi-ati fakubbat wujūhuhum fī l-nāri hal tuj'zawna illā mā kuntum taʿmalūn

إِنَّمَاۤ أُمِرۡتُ أَنۡ أَعۡبُدَ رَبَّ هَـٰذِهِ ٱلۡبَلۡدَةِ ٱلَّذِی حَرَّمَهَا وَلَهُۥ كُلُّ شَیۡءࣲۖ وَأُمِرۡتُ أَنۡ أَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُسۡلِمِینَ ۝٩١

Bakhtiari Nejad

I am ordered to only serve the Lord of this land, the One Who made it sacred, and everything belongs to Him, and I am ordered to be of the submitted ones,

innamā umir'tu an aʿbuda rabba hādhihi l-baldati alladhī ḥarramahā walahu kullu shayin wa-umir'tu an akūna mina l-mus'limīn

وَأَنۡ أَتۡلُوَا۟ ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَۖ فَمَنِ ٱهۡتَدَىٰ فَإِنَّمَا یَهۡتَدِی لِنَفۡسِهِۦۖ وَمَن ضَلَّ فَقُلۡ إِنَّمَاۤ أَنَا۠ مِنَ ٱلۡمُنذِرِینَ ۝٩٢

Bakhtiari Nejad

and to read the Quran. So, anyone who is guided (to the right path), then he is only guided for himself, and anyone who loses the way then say: “I am only of the warners.”

wa-an atluwā l-qur'āna famani ih'tadā fa-innamā yahtadī linafsihi waman ḍalla faqul innamā anā mina l-mundhirīn

وَقُلِ ٱلۡحَمۡدُ لِلَّهِ سَیُرِیكُمۡ ءَایَـٰتِهِۦ فَتَعۡرِفُونَهَاۚ وَمَا رَبُّكَ بِغَـٰفِلٍ عَمَّا تَعۡمَلُونَ ۝٩٣

Bakhtiari Nejad

And say: “All praise belongs to God, He is going to show you His signs, so you recognize them, and your Lord is not unaware of what you do.”

waquli l-ḥamdu lillahi sayurīkum āyātihi fataʿrifūnahā wamā rabbuka bighāfilin ʿammā taʿmalūn
