۞ لِّلَّذِینَ أَحۡسَنُوا۟ ٱلۡحُسۡنَىٰ وَزِیَادَةࣱۖ وَلَا یَرۡهَقُ وُجُوهَهُمۡ قَتَرࣱ وَلَا ذِلَّةٌۚ أُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ أَصۡحَـٰبُ ٱلۡجَنَّةِۖ هُمۡ فِیهَا خَـٰلِدُونَ ٢٦
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International):
For them who have done good is the best [reward] and extra. No darkness will cover their faces, nor humiliation. Those are companions of Paradise; they will abide therein eternall
Abdel Haleem:
Those who did well will have the best reward and more besides. Neither darkness nor shame will cover their faces: these are the companions in Paradise, and there they will remain
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall:
For those who do good is the best (reward) and more (thereto). Neither dust nor ignominy cometh near their faces. Such are rightful owners of the Garden; they will abide therein
Jonah 10:27

وَٱلَّذِینَ كَسَبُوا۟ ٱلسَّیِّءَاتِ جَزَاۤءُ سَیِّئَةِۭ بِمِثۡلِهَا وَتَرۡهَقُهُمۡ ذِلَّةࣱۖ مَّا لَهُم مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ مِنۡ عَاصِمࣲۖ كَأَنَّمَاۤ أُغۡشِیَتۡ وُجُوهُهُمۡ قِطَعࣰا مِّنَ ٱلَّیۡلِ مُظۡلِمًاۚ أُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ أَصۡحَـٰبُ ٱلنَّارِۖ هُمۡ فِیهَا خَـٰلِدُونَ ٢٧
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International):
But they who have earned [blame for] evil doings - the recompense of an evil deed is its equivalent, and humiliation will cover them. They will have from Allah no protector. It will be as if their faces are covered with pieces of the night - so dark [are they]. Those are the companions of the Fire; they will abide therein eternally
Abdel Haleem:
As for those who did evil, each evil deed will be requited by its equal and humiliation will cover them- no one will protect them against God- as though their faces were covered with veils cut from the darkness of the night. These are the inmates of the Fire, and there they shall remain
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall:
And those who earn ill-deeds, (for them) requital of each ill-deed by the like thereof; and ignominy overtaketh them - They have no protector from Allah - as if their faces had been covered with a cloak of darkest night. Such are rightful owners of the Fire; they will abide therein

قَالَ لَا تُؤَاخِذۡنِی بِمَا نَسِیتُ وَلَا تُرۡهِقۡنِی مِنۡ أَمۡرِی عُسۡرࣰا ٧٣
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International):
[Moses] said, "Do not blame me for what I forgot and do not cover me in my matter with difficulty."
Abdel Haleem:
Moses said, ‘Forgive me for forgetting. Do not make it too hard for me to follow you.’
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall:
(Moses) said: Be not wroth with me that I forgot, and be not hard upon me for my fault
The Cave 18:80
Verb
وَأَمَّا ٱلۡغُلَـٰمُ فَكَانَ أَبَوَاهُ مُؤۡمِنَیۡنِ فَخَشِینَاۤ أَن یُرۡهِقَهُمَا طُغۡیَـٰنࣰا وَكُفۡرࣰا ٨٠
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International):
And as for the boy, his parents were believers, and we feared that he would overburden them by transgression and disbelief
Abdel Haleem:
The young boy had parents who were people of faith, and so, fearing he would trouble them through wickedness and disbelief

And as for the lad, his parents were believers and we feared lest he should oppress them by rebellion and disbelief
The Pen 68:43
Verb
خَـٰشِعَةً أَبۡصَـٰرُهُمۡ تَرۡهَقُهُمۡ ذِلَّةࣱۖ وَقَدۡ كَانُوا۟ یُدۡعَوۡنَ إِلَى ٱلسُّجُودِ وَهُمۡ سَـٰلِمُونَ ٤٣
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International):
Their eyes humbled, humiliation will cover them. And they used to be invited to prostration while they were sound
Abdel Haleem:
and their eyes will be downcast and they will be overwhelmed with shame: they were invited to prostrate themselves when they were safe [but refused]
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall:
With eyes downcast, abasement stupefying them. And they had been summoned to prostrate themselves while they were yet unhurt
خَـٰشِعَةً أَبۡصَـٰرُهُمۡ تَرۡهَقُهُمۡ ذِلَّةࣱۚ ذَ ٰلِكَ ٱلۡیَوۡمُ ٱلَّذِی كَانُوا۟ یُوعَدُونَ ٤٤
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International):
Their eyes humbled, humiliation will cover them. That is the Day which they had been promised
Abdel Haleem:
eyes downcast and covered in shame: that is the Day of which they were warned
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall:
With eyes aghast, abasement stupefying them: Such is the Day which they are promised
سَأُرۡهِقُهُۥ صَعُودًا ١٧
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International):
I will cover him with arduous torment
Abdel Haleem:
I will inflict a spiralling torment on him

On him I shall impose a fearful doom
He Frowned 80:41

Blackness will cover them

وَأَنَّا لَمَّا سَمِعۡنَا ٱلۡهُدَىٰۤ ءَامَنَّا بِهِۦۖ فَمَن یُؤۡمِنۢ بِرَبِّهِۦ فَلَا یَخَافُ بَخۡسࣰا وَلَا رَهَقࣰا ١٣
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International):
And when we heard the guidance, we believed in it. And whoever believes in his Lord will not fear deprivation or burden
Abdel Haleem:
When we heard the guidance we came to believe: whoever believes in his Lord need fear no loss nor injustice

And when we heard the guidance, we believed therein, and whoso believeth in his Lord, he feareth neither loss nor oppression
The Jinn 72:6

وَأَنَّهُۥ كَانَ رِجَالࣱ مِّنَ ٱلۡإِنسِ یَعُوذُونَ بِرِجَالࣲ مِّنَ ٱلۡجِنِّ فَزَادُوهُمۡ رَهَقࣰا ٦
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International):
And there were men from mankind who sought refuge in men from the jinn, so they [only] increased them in burden
Abdel Haleem:
Men have sought refuge with the jinn in the past, but they only misguided them further
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall:
And indeed (O Muhammad) individuals of humankind used to invoke the protection of individuals of the jinn, so that they increased them in revolt against Allah)
