47
وَنَضَعُ ٱلۡمَوَ ٰزِینَ ٱلۡقِسۡطَ لِیَوۡمِ ٱلۡقِیَـٰمَةِ فَلَا تُظۡلَمُ نَفۡسࣱ شَیۡءࣰاۖ وَإِن كَانَ مِثۡقَالَ حَبَّةࣲ مِّنۡ خَرۡدَلٍ أَتَیۡنَا بِهَاۗ وَكَفَىٰ بِنَا حَـٰسِبِینَ ٤٧
wanaḍaʿu l-mawāzīna l-qis'ṭa liyawmi l-qiyāmati falā tuẓ'lamu nafsun shayan wa-in kāna mith'qāla ḥabbatin min khardalin ataynā bihā wakafā binā ḥāsibīn
We will set up scales of justice for the Day of Resurrection so that no one can be wronged in the least, and if there should be even the weight of a mustard seed, We shall bring it out- We take excellent account
48
وَلَقَدۡ ءَاتَیۡنَا مُوسَىٰ وَهَـٰرُونَ ٱلۡفُرۡقَانَ وَضِیَاۤءࣰ وَذِكۡرࣰا لِّلۡمُتَّقِینَ ٤٨
walaqad ātaynā mūsā wahārūna l-fur'qāna waḍiyāan wadhik'ran lil'muttaqīn
We gave Moses and Aaron [the Scripture] that distinguishes right from wrong, a light and a reminder for those who are mindful of God
49
ٱلَّذِینَ یَخۡشَوۡنَ رَبَّهُم بِٱلۡغَیۡبِ وَهُم مِّنَ ٱلسَّاعَةِ مُشۡفِقُونَ ٤٩
alladhīna yakhshawna rabbahum bil-ghaybi wahum mina l-sāʿati mush'fiqūn
those who stand in awe of their Lord, though He is unseen, and who fear the Hour
50
وَهَـٰذَا ذِكۡرࣱ مُّبَارَكٌ أَنزَلۡنَـٰهُۚ أَفَأَنتُمۡ لَهُۥ مُنكِرُونَ ٥٠
wahādhā dhik'run mubārakun anzalnāhu afa-antum lahu munkirūn
This [Quran] too is a blessed message We have sent down- are you [people] going to deny it
51
۞ وَلَقَدۡ ءَاتَیۡنَاۤ إِبۡرَ ٰهِیمَ رُشۡدَهُۥ مِن قَبۡلُ وَكُنَّا بِهِۦ عَـٰلِمِینَ ٥١
walaqad ātaynā ib'rāhīma rush'dahu min qablu wakunnā bihi ʿālimīn
Long ago We bestowed right judgement on Abraham and We knew him well
52
إِذۡ قَالَ لِأَبِیهِ وَقَوۡمِهِۦ مَا هَـٰذِهِ ٱلتَّمَاثِیلُ ٱلَّتِیۤ أَنتُمۡ لَهَا عَـٰكِفُونَ ٥٢
idh qāla li-abīhi waqawmihi mā hādhihi l-tamāthīlu allatī antum lahā ʿākifūn
He said to his father and his people, ‘What are these images to which you are so devoted?’
53
قَالُوا۟ وَجَدۡنَاۤ ءَابَاۤءَنَا لَهَا عَـٰبِدِینَ ٥٣
qālū wajadnā ābāanā lahā ʿābidīn
They replied, ‘We found our fathers worshipping them.’
54
قَالَ لَقَدۡ كُنتُمۡ أَنتُمۡ وَءَابَاۤؤُكُمۡ فِی ضَلَـٰلࣲ مُّبِینࣲ ٥٤
qāla laqad kuntum antum waābāukum fī ḍalālin mubīni
He said, ‘You and your fathers have clearly gone astray.’
55
قَالُوۤا۟ أَجِئۡتَنَا بِٱلۡحَقِّ أَمۡ أَنتَ مِنَ ٱللَّـٰعِبِینَ ٥٥
qālū aji'tanā bil-ḥaqi am anta mina l-lāʿibīn
They asked, ‘Have you brought us the truth or are you just playing about?’
