6 ذَ ٰلِكَ بِأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلۡحَقُّ وَأَنَّهُۥ یُحۡیِ ٱلۡمَوۡتَىٰ وَأَنَّهُۥ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَیۡءࣲ قَدِیرࣱ ۝٦ dhālika bi-anna l-laha huwa l-ḥaqu wa-annahu yuḥ'yī l-mawtā wa-annahu ʿalā kulli shayin qadīru this is because God is the Truth; He brings the dead back to life; He has power over everything 7 وَأَنَّ ٱلسَّاعَةَ ءَاتِیَةࣱ لَّا رَیۡبَ فِیهَا وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ یَبۡعَثُ مَن فِی ٱلۡقُبُورِ ۝٧ wa-anna l-sāʿata ātiyatun lā rayba fīhā wa-anna l-laha yabʿathu man fī l-qubūr There is no doubt that the Last Hour is bound to come, nor that God will raise the dead from their graves 8 وَمِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ مَن یُجَـٰدِلُ فِی ٱللَّهِ بِغَیۡرِ عِلۡمࣲ وَلَا هُدࣰى وَلَا كِتَـٰبࣲ مُّنِیرࣲ ۝٨ wamina l-nāsi man yujādilu fī l-lahi bighayri ʿil'min walā hudan walā kitābin munīri yet still there are some who, with no knowledge or guidance or any book of enlightenment, argue about God 9 ثَانِیَ عِطۡفِهِۦ لِیُضِلَّ عَن سَبِیلِ ٱللَّهِۖ لَهُۥ فِی ٱلدُّنۡیَا خِزۡیࣱۖ وَنُذِیقُهُۥ یَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِیَـٰمَةِ عَذَابَ ٱلۡحَرِیقِ ۝٩ thāniya ʿiṭ'fihi liyuḍilla ʿan sabīli l-lahi lahu fī l-dun'yā khiz'yun wanudhīquhu yawma l-qiyāmati ʿadhāba l-ḥarīq turning scornfully aside to lead others away from God’s path. Disgrace in this world awaits such a person and, on the Day of Resurrection, We shall make him taste the suffering of the Fire
10 ذَ ٰلِكَ بِمَا قَدَّمَتۡ یَدَاكَ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَیۡسَ بِظَلَّـٰمࣲ لِّلۡعَبِیدِ ۝١٠ dhālika bimā qaddamat yadāka wa-anna l-laha laysa biẓallāmin lil'ʿabīd [It will be said], ‘This is for what you have stored up with your own hands: God is never unjust to His creatures.’
11 وَمِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ مَن یَعۡبُدُ ٱللَّهَ عَلَىٰ حَرۡفࣲۖ فَإِنۡ أَصَابَهُۥ خَیۡرٌ ٱطۡمَأَنَّ بِهِۦۖ وَإِنۡ أَصَابَتۡهُ فِتۡنَةٌ ٱنقَلَبَ عَلَىٰ وَجۡهِهِۦ خَسِرَ ٱلدُّنۡیَا وَٱلۡءَاخِرَةَۚ ذَ ٰلِكَ هُوَ ٱلۡخُسۡرَانُ ٱلۡمُبِینُ ۝١١ wamina l-nāsi man yaʿbudu l-laha ʿalā ḥarfin fa-in aṣābahu khayrun iṭ'ma-anna bihi wa-in aṣābathu fit'natun inqalaba ʿalā wajhihi khasira l-dun'yā wal-ākhirata dhālika huwa l-khus'rānu l-mubīn There are also some who serve God with unsteady faith: if something good comes their way, they are satisfied, but if they are tested, they revert to their old ways, losing both this world and the next- that is the clearest loss 12 یَدۡعُوا۟ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا یَضُرُّهُۥ وَمَا لَا یَنفَعُهُۥۚ ذَ ٰلِكَ هُوَ ٱلضَّلَـٰلُ ٱلۡبَعِیدُ ۝١٢ yadʿū min dūni l-lahi mā lā yaḍurruhu wamā lā yanfaʿuhu dhālika huwa l-ḍalālu l-baʿīd Instead of God, they call upon what can neither harm nor help them- that is straying far away 13 یَدۡعُوا۟ لَمَن ضَرُّهُۥۤ أَقۡرَبُ مِن نَّفۡعِهِۦۚ لَبِئۡسَ ٱلۡمَوۡلَىٰ وَلَبِئۡسَ ٱلۡعَشِیرُ ۝١٣ yadʿū laman ḍarruhu aqrabu min nafʿihi labi'sa l-mawlā walabi'sa l-ʿashīr or invoke one whose harm is closer than his help: an evil master and an evil companion 14 إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ یُدۡخِلُ ٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ جَنَّـٰتࣲ تَجۡرِی مِن تَحۡتِهَا ٱلۡأَنۡهَـٰرُۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ یَفۡعَلُ مَا یُرِیدُ ۝١٤ inna l-laha yud'khilu alladhīna āmanū waʿamilū l-ṣāliḥāti jannātin tajrī min taḥtihā l-anhāru inna l-laha yafʿalu mā yurīd But God will admit those who believe and do good deeds to Gardens graced with flowing streams. God does whatever He wishes
