183 وَلَا تَبۡخَسُوا۟ ٱلنَّاسَ أَشۡیَاۤءَهُمۡ وَلَا تَعۡثَوۡا۟ فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ مُفۡسِدِینَ ۝١٨٣ walā tabkhasū l-nāsa ashyāahum walā taʿthaw fī l-arḍi muf'sidīn do not deprive people of what is theirs. Do not spread corruption on earth 184 وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱلَّذِی خَلَقَكُمۡ وَٱلۡجِبِلَّةَ ٱلۡأَوَّلِینَ ۝١٨٤ wa-ittaqū alladhī khalaqakum wal-jibilata l-awalīn Be mindful of God who created you and former generations,’ 185 قَالُوۤا۟ إِنَّمَاۤ أَنتَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُسَحَّرِینَ ۝١٨٥ qālū innamā anta mina l-musaḥarīn but they replied, ‘You are bewitched 186 وَمَاۤ أَنتَ إِلَّا بَشَرࣱ مِّثۡلُنَا وَإِن نَّظُنُّكَ لَمِنَ ٱلۡكَـٰذِبِینَ ۝١٨٦ wamā anta illā basharun mith'lunā wa-in naẓunnuka lamina l-kādhibīn You are nothing but a man like us. In fact we think you are a liar
187 فَأَسۡقِطۡ عَلَیۡنَا كِسَفࣰا مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَاۤءِ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰدِقِینَ ۝١٨٧ fa-asqiṭ ʿalaynā kisafan mina l-samāi in kunta mina l-ṣādiqīn Make bits of the heavens fall down on us, if you are telling the truth.’
188 قَالَ رَبِّیۤ أَعۡلَمُ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ ۝١٨٨ qāla rabbī aʿlamu bimā taʿmalūn He said, ‘My Lord knows best what you do.’ 189 فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَأَخَذَهُمۡ عَذَابُ یَوۡمِ ٱلظُّلَّةِۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ عَذَابَ یَوۡمٍ عَظِیمٍ ۝١٨٩ fakadhabūhu fa-akhadhahum ʿadhābu yawmi l-ẓulati innahu kāna ʿadhāba yawmin ʿaẓīmi They called him a liar, and so the torment of the Day of Shadow came upon them- it was the torment of a terrible day 190 إِنَّ فِی ذَ ٰلِكَ لَءَایَةࣰۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكۡثَرُهُم مُّؤۡمِنِینَ ۝١٩٠ inna fī dhālika laāyatan wamā kāna aktharuhum mu'minīn There truly is a sign in this, though most of them will not believe 191 وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِیزُ ٱلرَّحِیمُ ۝١٩١ wa-inna rabbaka lahuwa l-ʿazīzu l-raḥīm your Lord alone is the Almighty, the Merciful
