63
فَأَوۡحَیۡنَاۤ إِلَىٰ مُوسَىٰۤ أَنِ ٱضۡرِب بِّعَصَاكَ ٱلۡبَحۡرَۖ فَٱنفَلَقَ فَكَانَ كُلُّ فِرۡقࣲ كَٱلطَّوۡدِ ٱلۡعَظِیمِ ٦٣
fa-awḥaynā ilā mūsā ani iḍ'rib biʿaṣāka l-baḥra fa-infalaqa fakāna kullu fir'qin kal-ṭawdi l-ʿaẓīm
and We revealed to Moses: ‘Strike the sea with your staff.’ It parted- each side like a mighty mountain
64
وَأَزۡلَفۡنَا ثَمَّ ٱلۡءَاخَرِینَ ٦٤
wa-azlafnā thamma l-ākharīn
and We brought the others to that place
65
وَأَنجَیۡنَا مُوسَىٰ وَمَن مَّعَهُۥۤ أَجۡمَعِینَ ٦٥
wa-anjaynā mūsā waman maʿahu ajmaʿīn
We saved Moses and all his companions
66
ثُمَّ أَغۡرَقۡنَا ٱلۡءَاخَرِینَ ٦٦
thumma aghraqnā l-ākharīn
and drowned the rest
67
إِنَّ فِی ذَ ٰلِكَ لَءَایَةࣰۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكۡثَرُهُم مُّؤۡمِنِینَ ٦٧
inna fī dhālika laāyatan wamā kāna aktharuhum mu'minīn
There truly is a sign in this, though most of them do not believe
68
وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِیزُ ٱلرَّحِیمُ ٦٨
wa-inna rabbaka lahuwa l-ʿazīzu l-raḥīm
your Lord alone is the Almighty, the Merciful
69
وَٱتۡلُ عَلَیۡهِمۡ نَبَأَ إِبۡرَ ٰهِیمَ ٦٩
wa-ut'lu ʿalayhim naba-a ib'rāhīm
Tell them the story of Abraham
70
إِذۡ قَالَ لِأَبِیهِ وَقَوۡمِهِۦ مَا تَعۡبُدُونَ ٧٠
idh qāla li-abīhi waqawmihi mā taʿbudūn
when he asked his father and his people, ‘What do you worship?’
71
قَالُوا۟ نَعۡبُدُ أَصۡنَامࣰا فَنَظَلُّ لَهَا عَـٰكِفِینَ ٧١
qālū naʿbudu aṣnāman fanaẓallu lahā ʿākifīn
They said, ‘We worship idols, and are constantly in attendance on them.’
