103 وَٱعۡتَصِمُوا۟ بِحَبۡلِ ٱللَّهِ جَمِیعࣰا وَلَا تَفَرَّقُوا۟ۚ وَٱذۡكُرُوا۟ نِعۡمَتَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَیۡكُمۡ إِذۡ كُنتُمۡ أَعۡدَاۤءࣰ فَأَلَّفَ بَیۡنَ قُلُوبِكُمۡ فَأَصۡبَحۡتُم بِنِعۡمَتِهِۦۤ إِخۡوَ ٰنࣰا وَكُنتُمۡ عَلَىٰ شَفَا حُفۡرَةࣲ مِّنَ ٱلنَّارِ فَأَنقَذَكُم مِّنۡهَاۗ كَذَ ٰلِكَ یُبَیِّنُ ٱللَّهُ لَكُمۡ ءَایَـٰتِهِۦ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَهۡتَدُونَ ۝١٠٣ wa-iʿ'taṣimū biḥabli l-lahi jamīʿan walā tafarraqū wa-udh'kurū niʿ'mata l-lahi ʿalaykum idh kuntum aʿdāan fa-allafa bayna qulūbikum fa-aṣbaḥtum biniʿ'matihi ikh'wānan wakuntum ʿalā shafā ḥuf'ratin mina l-nāri fa-anqadhakum min'hā kadhālika yubayyinu l-lahu lakum āyātihi laʿallakum tahtadūn Hold fast to God’s rope all together; do not split into factions. Remember God’s favour to you: you were enemies and then He brought your hearts together and you became brothers by His grace; you were about to fall into a pit of Fire and He saved you from it- in this way God makes His revelations clear to you so that you may be rightly guided 104 وَلۡتَكُن مِّنكُمۡ أُمَّةࣱ یَدۡعُونَ إِلَى ٱلۡخَیۡرِ وَیَأۡمُرُونَ بِٱلۡمَعۡرُوفِ وَیَنۡهَوۡنَ عَنِ ٱلۡمُنكَرِۚ وَأُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ هُمُ ٱلۡمُفۡلِحُونَ ۝١٠٤ waltakun minkum ummatun yadʿūna ilā l-khayri wayamurūna bil-maʿrūfi wayanhawna ʿani l-munkari wa-ulāika humu l-muf'liḥūn Be a community that calls for what is good, urges what is right, and forbids what is wrong: those who do this are the successful ones 105 وَلَا تَكُونُوا۟ كَٱلَّذِینَ تَفَرَّقُوا۟ وَٱخۡتَلَفُوا۟ مِنۢ بَعۡدِ مَا جَاۤءَهُمُ ٱلۡبَیِّنَـٰتُۚ وَأُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ لَهُمۡ عَذَابٌ عَظِیمࣱ ۝١٠٥ walā takūnū ka-alladhīna tafarraqū wa-ikh'talafū min baʿdi mā jāahumu l-bayinātu wa-ulāika lahum ʿadhābun ʿaẓīmu Do not be like those who, after they have been given clear revelation, split into factions and fall into disputes: a terrible punishment awaits such people 106 یَوۡمَ تَبۡیَضُّ وُجُوهࣱ وَتَسۡوَدُّ وُجُوهࣱۚ فَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِینَ ٱسۡوَدَّتۡ وُجُوهُهُمۡ أَكَفَرۡتُم بَعۡدَ إِیمَـٰنِكُمۡ فَذُوقُوا۟ ٱلۡعَذَابَ بِمَا كُنتُمۡ تَكۡفُرُونَ ۝١٠٦ yawma tabyaḍḍu wujūhun wataswaddu wujūhun fa-ammā alladhīna is'waddat wujūhuhum akafartum baʿda īmānikum fadhūqū l-ʿadhāba bimā kuntum takfurūn On the Day when some faces brighten and others darken, it will be said to those with darkened faces, ‘How could you reject your faith after believing? Taste the torment for doing so,’

107 وَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِینَ ٱبۡیَضَّتۡ وُجُوهُهُمۡ فَفِی رَحۡمَةِ ٱللَّهِۖ هُمۡ فِیهَا خَـٰلِدُونَ ۝١٠٧ wa-ammā alladhīna ib'yaḍḍat wujūhuhum fafī raḥmati l-lahi hum fīhā khālidūn but those with brightened faces will be in God’s grace, there to remain

108 تِلۡكَ ءَایَـٰتُ ٱللَّهِ نَتۡلُوهَا عَلَیۡكَ بِٱلۡحَقِّۗ وَمَا ٱللَّهُ یُرِیدُ ظُلۡمࣰا لِّلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ ۝١٠٨ til'ka āyātu l-lahi natlūhā ʿalayka bil-ḥaqi wamā l-lahu yurīdu ẓul'man lil'ʿālamīn These are God’s revelations: We recite them to you [Prophet] with the Truth. God does not will injustice for His creatures 109 وَلِلَّهِ مَا فِی ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَمَا فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ وَإِلَى ٱللَّهِ تُرۡجَعُ ٱلۡأُمُورُ ۝١٠٩ walillahi mā fī l-samāwāti wamā fī l-arḍi wa-ilā l-lahi tur'jaʿu l-umūr Everything in the heavens and earth belongs to God; it is to Him that all things return 110 كُنتُمۡ خَیۡرَ أُمَّةٍ أُخۡرِجَتۡ لِلنَّاسِ تَأۡمُرُونَ بِٱلۡمَعۡرُوفِ وَتَنۡهَوۡنَ عَنِ ٱلۡمُنكَرِ وَتُؤۡمِنُونَ بِٱللَّهِۗ وَلَوۡ ءَامَنَ أَهۡلُ ٱلۡكِتَـٰبِ لَكَانَ خَیۡرࣰا لَّهُمۚ مِّنۡهُمُ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنُونَ وَأَكۡثَرُهُمُ ٱلۡفَـٰسِقُونَ ۝١١٠ kuntum khayra ummatin ukh'rijat lilnnāsi tamurūna bil-maʿrūfi watanhawna ʿani l-munkari watu'minūna bil-lahi walaw āmana ahlu l-kitābi lakāna khayran lahum min'humu l-mu'minūna wa-aktharuhumu l-fāsiqūn [Believers], you are the best community singled out for people: you order what is right, forbid what is wrong, and believe in God. If the People of the Book had also believed, it would have been better for them. For although some of them do believe, most of them are lawbreakers 111 لَن یَضُرُّوكُمۡ إِلَّاۤ أَذࣰىۖ وَإِن یُقَـٰتِلُوكُمۡ یُوَلُّوكُمُ ٱلۡأَدۡبَارَ ثُمَّ لَا یُنصَرُونَ ۝١١١ lan yaḍurrūkum illā adhan wa-in yuqātilūkum yuwallūkumu l-adbāra thumma lā yunṣarūn they will not do you much harm: even if they come out to fight you, they will soon turn tail; they will get no help
