Verse 3:200 in Context

196 لَا یَغُرَّنَّكَ تَقَلُّبُ ٱلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوا۟ فِی ٱلۡبِلَـٰدِ ۝١٩٦ lā yaghurrannaka taqallubu alladhīna kafarū fī l-bilād [Prophet], do not be deceived by the disbelievers’ [lucrative] trading to and fro in the land 197 مَتَـٰعࣱ قَلِیلࣱ ثُمَّ مَأۡوَىٰهُمۡ جَهَنَّمُۖ وَبِئۡسَ ٱلۡمِهَادُ ۝١٩٧ matāʿun qalīlun thumma mawāhum jahannamu wabi'sa l-mihād this is only a brief enjoyment, after which Hell will be their home- a miserable resting place 198 لَـٰكِنِ ٱلَّذِینَ ٱتَّقَوۡا۟ رَبَّهُمۡ لَهُمۡ جَنَّـٰتࣱ تَجۡرِی مِن تَحۡتِهَا ٱلۡأَنۡهَـٰرُ خَـٰلِدِینَ فِیهَا نُزُلࣰا مِّنۡ عِندِ ٱللَّهِۗ وَمَا عِندَ ٱللَّهِ خَیۡرࣱ لِّلۡأَبۡرَارِ ۝١٩٨ lākini alladhīna ittaqaw rabbahum lahum jannātun tajrī min taḥtihā l-anhāru khālidīna fīhā nuzulan min ʿindi l-lahi wamā ʿinda l-lahi khayrun lil'abrār But those who were mindful of their Lord will have Gardens graced with flowing streams where they will stay as a reward from God. What God has is best for those who are truly good 199 وَإِنَّ مِنۡ أَهۡلِ ٱلۡكِتَـٰبِ لَمَن یُؤۡمِنُ بِٱللَّهِ وَمَاۤ أُنزِلَ إِلَیۡكُمۡ وَمَاۤ أُنزِلَ إِلَیۡهِمۡ خَـٰشِعِینَ لِلَّهِ لَا یَشۡتَرُونَ بِءَایَـٰتِ ٱللَّهِ ثَمَنࣰا قَلِیلًاۚ أُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ لَهُمۡ أَجۡرُهُمۡ عِندَ رَبِّهِمۡۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ سَرِیعُ ٱلۡحِسَابِ ۝١٩٩ wa-inna min ahli l-kitābi laman yu'minu bil-lahi wamā unzila ilaykum wamā unzila ilayhim khāshiʿīna lillahi lā yashtarūna biāyāti l-lahi thamanan qalīlan ulāika lahum ajruhum ʿinda rabbihim inna l-laha sarīʿu l-ḥisāb Some of the People of the Book believe in God, in what has been sent down to you and in what was sent down to them: humbling themselves before God, they would never sell God’s revelation for a small price. These people will have their rewards with their Lord: God is swift in reckoning
200 یَـٰۤأَیُّهَا ٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱصۡبِرُوا۟ وَصَابِرُوا۟ وَرَابِطُوا۟ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تُفۡلِحُونَ ۝٢٠٠ yāayyuhā alladhīna āmanū iṣ'birū waṣābirū warābiṭū wa-ittaqū l-laha laʿallakum tuf'liḥūn You who believe, be steadfast, more steadfast than others; be ready; always be mindful of God, so that you may prosper
