Verse 37:131 in Context

127 فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَإِنَّهُمۡ لَمُحۡضَرُونَ ۝١٢٧ fakadhabūhu fa-innahum lamuḥ'ḍarūn but they rejected him. They will be brought to punishment as a consequence 128 إِلَّا عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلۡمُخۡلَصِینَ ۝١٢٨ illā ʿibāda l-lahi l-mukh'laṣīn not so the true servants of God 129 وَتَرَكۡنَا عَلَیۡهِ فِی ٱلۡءَاخِرِینَ ۝١٢٩ wataraknā ʿalayhi fī l-ākhirīn We let him be praised by succeeding generations 130 سَلَـٰمٌ عَلَىٰۤ إِلۡ یَاسِینَ ۝١٣٠ salāmun ʿalā il yāsīn ‘Peace be to Elijah!’
131 إِنَّا كَذَ ٰلِكَ نَجۡزِی ٱلۡمُحۡسِنِینَ ۝١٣١ innā kadhālika najzī l-muḥ'sinīn This is how We reward those who do good
132 إِنَّهُۥ مِنۡ عِبَادِنَا ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِینَ ۝١٣٢ innahu min ʿibādinā l-mu'minīn truly he was one of Our faithful servants 133 وَإِنَّ لُوطࣰا لَّمِنَ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِینَ ۝١٣٣ wa-inna lūṭan lamina l-mur'salīn Lot was also one of the messengers 134 إِذۡ نَجَّیۡنَـٰهُ وَأَهۡلَهُۥۤ أَجۡمَعِینَ ۝١٣٤ idh najjaynāhu wa-ahlahu ajmaʿīn We saved him and all his family 135 إِلَّا عَجُوزࣰا فِی ٱلۡغَـٰبِرِینَ ۝١٣٥ illā ʿajūzan fī l-ghābirīn except for an old woman who stayed behind
