Verse 37:134 in Context

130 سَلَـٰمٌ عَلَىٰۤ إِلۡ یَاسِینَ ۝١٣٠ salāmun ʿalā il yāsīn ‘Peace be to Elijah!’ 131 إِنَّا كَذَ ٰلِكَ نَجۡزِی ٱلۡمُحۡسِنِینَ ۝١٣١ innā kadhālika najzī l-muḥ'sinīn This is how We reward those who do good 132 إِنَّهُۥ مِنۡ عِبَادِنَا ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِینَ ۝١٣٢ innahu min ʿibādinā l-mu'minīn truly he was one of Our faithful servants 133 وَإِنَّ لُوطࣰا لَّمِنَ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِینَ ۝١٣٣ wa-inna lūṭan lamina l-mur'salīn Lot was also one of the messengers
134 إِذۡ نَجَّیۡنَـٰهُ وَأَهۡلَهُۥۤ أَجۡمَعِینَ ۝١٣٤ idh najjaynāhu wa-ahlahu ajmaʿīn We saved him and all his family
135 إِلَّا عَجُوزࣰا فِی ٱلۡغَـٰبِرِینَ ۝١٣٥ illā ʿajūzan fī l-ghābirīn except for an old woman who stayed behind 136 ثُمَّ دَمَّرۡنَا ٱلۡءَاخَرِینَ ۝١٣٦ thumma dammarnā l-ākharīn and We destroyed the rest 137 وَإِنَّكُمۡ لَتَمُرُّونَ عَلَیۡهِم مُّصۡبِحِینَ ۝١٣٧ wa-innakum latamurrūna ʿalayhim muṣ'biḥīn You [people] pass by their ruins mornin 138 وَبِٱلَّیۡلِۚ أَفَلَا تَعۡقِلُونَ ۝١٣٨ wabi-al-layli afalā taʿqilūn and night: will you not take heed
