Verse 56:59 in Context

55 فَشَـٰرِبُونَ شُرۡبَ ٱلۡهِیمِ ۝٥٥ fashāribūna shur'ba l-hīm lapping it like thirsty camels.’ 56 هَـٰذَا نُزُلُهُمۡ یَوۡمَ ٱلدِّینِ ۝٥٦ hādhā nuzuluhum yawma l-dīn This will be their welcome on the Day of Judgement 57 نَحۡنُ خَلَقۡنَـٰكُمۡ فَلَوۡلَا تُصَدِّقُونَ ۝٥٧ naḥnu khalaqnākum falawlā tuṣaddiqūn It was We who created you: will you not believe 58 أَفَرَءَیۡتُم مَّا تُمۡنُونَ ۝٥٨ afara-aytum mā tum'nūn Consider [the semen] you eject
59 ءَأَنتُمۡ تَخۡلُقُونَهُۥۤ أَمۡ نَحۡنُ ٱلۡخَـٰلِقُونَ ۝٥٩ a-antum takhluqūnahu am naḥnu l-khāliqūn do you create it yourselves or are We the Creator
60 نَحۡنُ قَدَّرۡنَا بَیۡنَكُمُ ٱلۡمَوۡتَ وَمَا نَحۡنُ بِمَسۡبُوقِینَ ۝٦٠ naḥnu qaddarnā baynakumu l-mawta wamā naḥnu bimasbūqīn We ordained death to be among you. Nothing could stop U 61 عَلَىٰۤ أَن نُّبَدِّلَ أَمۡثَـٰلَكُمۡ وَنُنشِئَكُمۡ فِی مَا لَا تَعۡلَمُونَ ۝٦١ walaqad ʿalim'tumu l-nashata l-ūlā falawlā tadhakkarūn if We intended to change you and recreate you in a way unknown to you 62 وَلَقَدۡ عَلِمۡتُمُ ٱلنَّشۡأَةَ ٱلۡأُولَىٰ فَلَوۡلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ ۝٦٢ Walaqad AAalimtumu alnnash-ata al-oola falawla tathakkaroona You have learned how you were first created: will you not reflect 63 أَفَرَءَیۡتُم مَّا تَحۡرُثُونَ ۝٦٣ afara-aytum mā taḥruthūn Consider the seeds you sow in the ground
