35
فَلَیۡسَ لَهُ ٱلۡیَوۡمَ هَـٰهُنَا حَمِیمࣱ ٣٥
falaysa lahu l-yawma hāhunā ḥamīmu
so today he has no real friend here
36
وَلَا طَعَامٌ إِلَّا مِنۡ غِسۡلِینࣲ ٣٦
walā ṭaʿāmun illā min ghis'līni
and the only food he has is the filt
37
لَّا یَأۡكُلُهُۥۤ إِلَّا ٱلۡخَـٰطِءُونَ ٣٧
lā yakuluhu illā l-khāṭiūn
that only sinners eat.’
38
فَلَاۤ أُقۡسِمُ بِمَا تُبۡصِرُونَ ٣٨
falā uq'simu bimā tub'ṣirūn
So I swear by what you can se
39
وَمَا لَا تُبۡصِرُونَ ٣٩
wamā lā tub'ṣirūn
and by what you cannot see
40
إِنَّهُۥ لَقَوۡلُ رَسُولࣲ كَرِیمࣲ ٤٠
innahu laqawlu rasūlin karīmi
this [Quran] is the speech of an honoured messenger
41
وَمَا هُوَ بِقَوۡلِ شَاعِرࣲۚ قَلِیلࣰا مَّا تُؤۡمِنُونَ ٤١
wamā huwa biqawli shāʿirin qalīlan mā tu'minūn
not the words of a poet- how little you believe!
42
وَلَا بِقَوۡلِ كَاهِنࣲۚ قَلِیلࣰا مَّا تَذَكَّرُونَ ٤٢
walā biqawli kāhinin qalīlan mā tadhakkarūn
nor the words of a soothsayer- how little you reflect
43
تَنزِیلࣱ مِّن رَّبِّ ٱلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ ٤٣
tanzīlun min rabbi l-ʿālamīn
