103
ثُمَّ بَعَثۡنَا مِنۢ بَعۡدِهِم مُّوسَىٰ بِءَایَـٰتِنَاۤ إِلَىٰ فِرۡعَوۡنَ وَمَلَإِی۟هِۦ فَظَلَمُوا۟ بِهَاۖ فَٱنظُرۡ كَیۡفَ كَانَ عَـٰقِبَةُ ٱلۡمُفۡسِدِینَ ١٠٣
thumma baʿathnā min baʿdihim mūsā biāyātinā ilā fir'ʿawna wamala-ihi faẓalamū bihā fa-unẓur kayfa kāna ʿāqibatu l-muf'sidīn
After these, We sent Moses to Pharaoh and his leading supporters with Our signs, but they rejected them. See the fate of those who used to spread corruption
104
وَقَالَ مُوسَىٰ یَـٰفِرۡعَوۡنُ إِنِّی رَسُولࣱ مِّن رَّبِّ ٱلۡعَـٰلَمِینَ ١٠٤
waqāla mūsā yāfir'ʿawnu innī rasūlun min rabbi l-ʿālamīn
Moses said, ‘Pharaoh, I am a messenger from the Lord of all the Worlds
105
حَقِیقٌ عَلَىٰۤ أَن لَّاۤ أَقُولَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ إِلَّا ٱلۡحَقَّۚ قَدۡ جِئۡتُكُم بِبَیِّنَةࣲ مِّن رَّبِّكُمۡ فَأَرۡسِلۡ مَعِیَ بَنِیۤ إِسۡرَ ٰۤءِیلَ ١٠٥
ḥaqīqun ʿalā an lā aqūla ʿalā l-lahi illā l-ḥaqa qad ji'tukum bibayyinatin min rabbikum fa-arsil maʿiya banī is'rāīl
duty-bound to say nothing about God but the truth, and I have brought you a clear sign from your Lord. Let the Children of Israel go with me.’
106
قَالَ إِن كُنتَ جِئۡتَ بِءَایَةࣲ فَأۡتِ بِهَاۤ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰدِقِینَ ١٠٦
qāla in kunta ji'ta biāyatin fati bihā in kunta mina l-ṣādiqīn
He said, ‘Produce this sign you have brought, if you are telling the truth.’
107
فَأَلۡقَىٰ عَصَاهُ فَإِذَا هِیَ ثُعۡبَانࣱ مُّبِینࣱ ١٠٧
fa-alqā ʿaṣāhu fa-idhā hiya thuʿ'bānun mubīnu
So Moses threw his staff and- lo and behold!- it was a snake, clear to all
108
وَنَزَعَ یَدَهُۥ فَإِذَا هِیَ بَیۡضَاۤءُ لِلنَّـٰظِرِینَ ١٠٨
wanazaʿa yadahu fa-idhā hiya bayḍāu lilnnāẓirīn
and then he pulled out his hand and- lo and behold!- it was white for all to see
109
قَالَ ٱلۡمَلَأُ مِن قَوۡمِ فِرۡعَوۡنَ إِنَّ هَـٰذَا لَسَـٰحِرٌ عَلِیمࣱ ١٠٩
qāla l-mala-u min qawmi fir'ʿawna inna hādhā lasāḥirun ʿalīmu
The leaders among Pharaoh’s people said, ‘This man is a learned sorcerer
110
یُرِیدُ أَن یُخۡرِجَكُم مِّنۡ أَرۡضِكُمۡۖ فَمَاذَا تَأۡمُرُونَ ١١٠
yurīdu an yukh'rijakum min arḍikum famādhā tamurūn
He means to drive you out of your land!’ Pharaoh said, ‘What do you suggest?’
111
قَالُوۤا۟ أَرۡجِهۡ وَأَخَاهُ وَأَرۡسِلۡ فِی ٱلۡمَدَاۤىِٕنِ حَـٰشِرِینَ ١١١
qālū arjih wa-akhāhu wa-arsil fī l-madāini ḥāshirīn
They said, ‘Delay him and his brother for a while, and send messengers to all the citie
