Verse 77:27 in Context

23 فَقَدَرۡنَا فَنِعۡمَ ٱلۡقَـٰدِرُونَ ۝٢٣ faqadarnā faniʿ'ma l-qādirūn We determine [it]: how excellently We determine 24 وَیۡلࣱ یَوۡمَىِٕذࣲ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِینَ ۝٢٤ waylun yawma-idhin lil'mukadhibīn Woe, on that Day, to those who denied the truth 25 أَلَمۡ نَجۡعَلِ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ كِفَاتًا ۝٢٥ alam najʿali l-arḍa kifāta Did We not make the earth a hom 26 أَحۡیَاۤءࣰ وَأَمۡوَ ٰتࣰا ۝٢٦ aḥyāan wa-amwāta for the living and the dead
27 وَجَعَلۡنَا فِیهَا رَوَ ٰسِیَ شَـٰمِخَـٰتࣲ وَأَسۡقَیۡنَـٰكُم مَّاۤءࣰ فُرَاتࣰا ۝٢٧ wajaʿalnā fīhā rawāsiya shāmikhātin wa-asqaynākum māan furāta Did We not place firm, lofty mountains on it and provide you with sweet water
28 وَیۡلࣱ یَوۡمَىِٕذࣲ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِینَ ۝٢٨ waylun yawma-idhin lil'mukadhibīn Woe, on that Day, to those who denied the truth 29 ٱنطَلِقُوۤا۟ إِلَىٰ مَا كُنتُم بِهِۦ تُكَذِّبُونَ ۝٢٩ inṭaliqū ilā mā kuntum bihi tukadhibūn They will be told, ‘Go to that which you used to deny 30 ٱنطَلِقُوۤا۟ إِلَىٰ ظِلࣲّ ذِی ثَلَـٰثِ شُعَبࣲ ۝٣٠ inṭaliqū ilā ẓillin dhī thalāthi shuʿabi Go to a shadow of smoke!’ It rises in three columns 31 لَّا ظَلِیلࣲ وَلَا یُغۡنِی مِنَ ٱللَّهَبِ ۝٣١ lā ẓalīlin walā yugh'nī mina l-lahab no shade does it give, nor relief from the flame
