22 ۞ إِنَّ شَرَّ ٱلدَّوَاۤبِّ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلصُّمُّ ٱلۡبُكۡمُ ٱلَّذِینَ لَا یَعۡقِلُونَ ۝٢٢ inna sharra l-dawābi ʿinda l-lahi l-ṣumu l-buk'mu alladhīna lā yaʿqilūn the worst creatures in God’s eyes are those who are [wilfully] deaf and dumb, who do not reason 23 وَلَوۡ عَلِمَ ٱللَّهُ فِیهِمۡ خَیۡرࣰا لَّأَسۡمَعَهُمۡۖ وَلَوۡ أَسۡمَعَهُمۡ لَتَوَلَّوا۟ وَّهُم مُّعۡرِضُونَ ۝٢٣ walaw ʿalima l-lahu fīhim khayran la-asmaʿahum walaw asmaʿahum latawallaw wahum muʿ'riḍūn If God had known there was any good in them, He would have made them hear, but even if He had, they would still have turned away and taken no notice 24 یَـٰۤأَیُّهَا ٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱسۡتَجِیبُوا۟ لِلَّهِ وَلِلرَّسُولِ إِذَا دَعَاكُمۡ لِمَا یُحۡیِیكُمۡۖ وَٱعۡلَمُوۤا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ یَحُولُ بَیۡنَ ٱلۡمَرۡءِ وَقَلۡبِهِۦ وَأَنَّهُۥۤ إِلَیۡهِ تُحۡشَرُونَ ۝٢٤ yāayyuhā alladhīna āmanū is'tajībū lillahi walilrrasūli idhā daʿākum limā yuḥ'yīkum wa-iʿ'lamū anna l-laha yaḥūlu bayna l-mari waqalbihi wa-annahu ilayhi tuḥ'sharūn Believers, respond to God and His Messenger when he calls you to that which gives you life. Know that God comes between a man and his heart, and that you will be gathered to Him 25 وَٱتَّقُوا۟ فِتۡنَةࣰ لَّا تُصِیبَنَّ ٱلَّذِینَ ظَلَمُوا۟ مِنكُمۡ خَاۤصَّةࣰۖ وَٱعۡلَمُوۤا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ شَدِیدُ ٱلۡعِقَابِ ۝٢٥ wa-ittaqū fit'natan lā tuṣībanna alladhīna ẓalamū minkum khāṣṣatan wa-iʿ'lamū anna l-laha shadīdu l-ʿiqāb Beware of discord that harms not only the wrongdoers among you: know that God is severe in His punishment

26 وَٱذۡكُرُوۤا۟ إِذۡ أَنتُمۡ قَلِیلࣱ مُّسۡتَضۡعَفُونَ فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ تَخَافُونَ أَن یَتَخَطَّفَكُمُ ٱلنَّاسُ فَءَاوَىٰكُمۡ وَأَیَّدَكُم بِنَصۡرِهِۦ وَرَزَقَكُم مِّنَ ٱلطَّیِّبَـٰتِ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَشۡكُرُونَ ۝٢٦ wa-udh'kurū idh antum qalīlun mus'taḍʿafūna fī l-arḍi takhāfūna an yatakhaṭṭafakumu l-nāsu faāwākum wa-ayyadakum binaṣrihi warazaqakum mina l-ṭayibāti laʿallakum tashkurūn Remember when you were few, victimized in the land, afraid that people might catch you, but God sheltered you and strengthened you with His help, and provided you with good things so that you might be grateful

27 یَـٰۤأَیُّهَا ٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا تَخُونُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَٱلرَّسُولَ وَتَخُونُوۤا۟ أَمَـٰنَـٰتِكُمۡ وَأَنتُمۡ تَعۡلَمُونَ ۝٢٧ yāayyuhā alladhīna āmanū lā takhūnū l-laha wal-rasūla watakhūnū amānātikum wa-antum taʿlamūn Believers, do not betray God and the Messenger, or knowingly betray [other people’s] trust in you 28 وَٱعۡلَمُوۤا۟ أَنَّمَاۤ أَمۡوَ ٰلُكُمۡ وَأَوۡلَـٰدُكُمۡ فِتۡنَةࣱ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ عِندَهُۥۤ أَجۡرٌ عَظِیمࣱ ۝٢٨ wa-iʿ'lamū annamā amwālukum wa-awlādukum fit'natun wa-anna l-laha ʿindahu ajrun ʿaẓīmu Be aware that your possessions and your children are only a test, and that there is a tremendous reward with God 29 یَـٰۤأَیُّهَا ٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوۤا۟ إِن تَتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ یَجۡعَل لَّكُمۡ فُرۡقَانࣰا وَیُكَفِّرۡ عَنكُمۡ سَیِّءَاتِكُمۡ وَیَغۡفِرۡ لَكُمۡۗ وَٱللَّهُ ذُو ٱلۡفَضۡلِ ٱلۡعَظِیمِ ۝٢٩ yāayyuhā alladhīna āmanū in tattaqū l-laha yajʿal lakum fur'qānan wayukaffir ʿankum sayyiātikum wayaghfir lakum wal-lahu dhū l-faḍli l-ʿaẓīm Believers, if you remain mindful of God, He will give you a criterion [to tell right from wrong] and wipe out your bad deeds, and forgive you: God’s favour is great indeed 30 وَإِذۡ یَمۡكُرُ بِكَ ٱلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوا۟ لِیُثۡبِتُوكَ أَوۡ یَقۡتُلُوكَ أَوۡ یُخۡرِجُوكَۚ وَیَمۡكُرُونَ وَیَمۡكُرُ ٱللَّهُۖ وَٱللَّهُ خَیۡرُ ٱلۡمَـٰكِرِینَ ۝٣٠ wa-idh yamkuru bika alladhīna kafarū liyuth'bitūka aw yaqtulūka aw yukh'rijūka wayamkurūna wayamkuru l-lahu wal-lahu khayru l-mākirīn Remember [Prophet] when the disbelievers plotted to take you captive, kill, or expel you. They schemed and so did God: He is the best of schemers
