59 وَلَا یَحۡسَبَنَّ ٱلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوا۟ سَبَقُوۤا۟ۚ إِنَّهُمۡ لَا یُعۡجِزُونَ ۝٥٩ walā yaḥsabanna alladhīna kafarū sabaqū innahum lā yuʿ'jizūn The disbelievers should not think they have won; they cannot escape 60 وَأَعِدُّوا۟ لَهُم مَّا ٱسۡتَطَعۡتُم مِّن قُوَّةࣲ وَمِن رِّبَاطِ ٱلۡخَیۡلِ تُرۡهِبُونَ بِهِۦ عَدُوَّ ٱللَّهِ وَعَدُوَّكُمۡ وَءَاخَرِینَ مِن دُونِهِمۡ لَا تَعۡلَمُونَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ یَعۡلَمُهُمۡۚ وَمَا تُنفِقُوا۟ مِن شَیۡءࣲ فِی سَبِیلِ ٱللَّهِ یُوَفَّ إِلَیۡكُمۡ وَأَنتُمۡ لَا تُظۡلَمُونَ ۝٦٠ wa-aʿiddū lahum mā is'taṭaʿtum min quwwatin wamin ribāṭi l-khayli tur'hibūna bihi ʿaduwwa l-lahi waʿaduwwakum waākharīna min dūnihim lā taʿlamūnahumu l-lahu yaʿlamuhum wamā tunfiqū min shayin fī sabīli l-lahi yuwaffa ilaykum wa-antum lā tuẓ'lamūn Prepare whatever forces you [believers] can muster, including warhorses, to frighten off God’s enemies and yours, and warn others unknown to you but known to God. Whatever you give in God’s cause will be repaid to you in full, and you will not be wronged 61 ۞ وَإِن جَنَحُوا۟ لِلسَّلۡمِ فَٱجۡنَحۡ لَهَا وَتَوَكَّلۡ عَلَى ٱللَّهِۚ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلسَّمِیعُ ٱلۡعَلِیمُ ۝٦١ wa-in janaḥū lilssalmi fa-ij'naḥ lahā watawakkal ʿalā l-lahi innahu huwa l-samīʿu l-ʿalīm But if they incline towards peace, you [Prophet] must also incline towards it, and put your trust in God: He is the All Hearing, the All Knowing 62 وَإِن یُرِیدُوۤا۟ أَن یَخۡدَعُوكَ فَإِنَّ حَسۡبَكَ ٱللَّهُۚ هُوَ ٱلَّذِیۤ أَیَّدَكَ بِنَصۡرِهِۦ وَبِٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِینَ ۝٦٢ wa-in yurīdū an yakhdaʿūka fa-inna ḥasbaka l-lahu huwa alladhī ayyadaka binaṣrihi wabil-mu'minīn If they intend to deceive you, God is enough for you: it was He who strengthened you with His help
63 وَأَلَّفَ بَیۡنَ قُلُوبِهِمۡۚ لَوۡ أَنفَقۡتَ مَا فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ جَمِیعࣰا مَّاۤ أَلَّفۡتَ بَیۡنَ قُلُوبِهِمۡ وَلَـٰكِنَّ ٱللَّهَ أَلَّفَ بَیۡنَهُمۡۚ إِنَّهُۥ عَزِیزٌ حَكِیمࣱ ۝٦٣ wa-allafa bayna qulūbihim law anfaqta mā fī l-arḍi jamīʿan mā allafta bayna qulūbihim walākinna l-laha allafa baynahum innahu ʿazīzun ḥakīmu and with the believers, and brought their hearts together. Even if you had given away everything in the earth you could not have done this, but God brought them together: God is mighty and wise
64 یَـٰۤأَیُّهَا ٱلنَّبِیُّ حَسۡبُكَ ٱللَّهُ وَمَنِ ٱتَّبَعَكَ مِنَ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِینَ ۝٦٤ yāayyuhā l-nabiyu ḥasbuka l-lahu wamani ittabaʿaka mina l-mu'minīn Prophet, God is enough for you, and for the believers who follow you 65 یَـٰۤأَیُّهَا ٱلنَّبِیُّ حَرِّضِ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِینَ عَلَى ٱلۡقِتَالِۚ إِن یَكُن مِّنكُمۡ عِشۡرُونَ صَـٰبِرُونَ یَغۡلِبُوا۟ مِا۟ئَتَیۡنِۚ وَإِن یَكُن مِّنكُم مِّا۟ئَةࣱ یَغۡلِبُوۤا۟ أَلۡفࣰا مِّنَ ٱلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوا۟ بِأَنَّهُمۡ قَوۡمࣱ لَّا یَفۡقَهُونَ ۝٦٥ yāayyuhā l-nabiyu ḥarriḍi l-mu'minīna ʿalā l-qitāli in yakun minkum ʿish'rūna ṣābirūna yaghlibū mi-atayni wa-in yakun minkum mi-atun yaghlibū alfan mina alladhīna kafarū bi-annahum qawmun lā yafqahūn Prophet, urge the believers to fight: if there are twenty of you who are steadfast, they will overcome two hundred, and a hundred of you, if steadfast, will overcome a thousand of the disbelievers, for they are people who do not understand 66 ٱلۡءَـٰنَ خَفَّفَ ٱللَّهُ عَنكُمۡ وَعَلِمَ أَنَّ فِیكُمۡ ضَعۡفࣰاۚ فَإِن یَكُن مِّنكُم مِّا۟ئَةࣱ صَابِرَةࣱ یَغۡلِبُوا۟ مِا۟ئَتَیۡنِۚ وَإِن یَكُن مِّنكُمۡ أَلۡفࣱ یَغۡلِبُوۤا۟ أَلۡفَیۡنِ بِإِذۡنِ ٱللَّهِۗ وَٱللَّهُ مَعَ ٱلصَّـٰبِرِینَ ۝٦٦ al-āna khaffafa l-lahu ʿankum waʿalima anna fīkum ḍaʿfan fa-in yakun minkum mi-atun ṣābiratun yaghlibū mi-atayni wa-in yakun minkum alfun yaghlibū alfayni bi-idh'ni l-lahi wal-lahu maʿa l-ṣābirīn But God has lightened your burden for now, knowing that there is weakness in you––a steadfast hundred of you will defeat two hundred and a steadfast thousand of you will defeat two thousand, by God’s permission: God is with the steadfast 67 مَا كَانَ لِنَبِیٍّ أَن یَكُونَ لَهُۥۤ أَسۡرَىٰ حَتَّىٰ یُثۡخِنَ فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ تُرِیدُونَ عَرَضَ ٱلدُّنۡیَا وَٱللَّهُ یُرِیدُ ٱلۡءَاخِرَةَۗ وَٱللَّهُ عَزِیزٌ حَكِیمࣱ ۝٦٧ mā kāna linabiyyin an yakūna lahu asrā ḥattā yuth'khina fī l-arḍi turīdūna ʿaraḍa l-dun'yā wal-lahu yurīdu l-ākhirata wal-lahu ʿazīzun ḥakīmu It is not right for a prophet to take captives before he has conquered the battlefield. You [people] desire the transient goods of this world, but God desires the Hereafter [for you]- God is mighty and wise
