Luqman, Lukman — Amatul Rahman Omar Translation

وَمِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ مَن یَشۡتَرِی لَهۡوَ ٱلۡحَدِیثِ لِیُضِلَّ عَن سَبِیلِ ٱللَّهِ بِغَیۡرِ عِلۡمࣲ وَیَتَّخِذَهَا هُزُوًاۚ أُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ لَهُمۡ عَذَابࣱ مُّهِینࣱ ۝٦

Amatul Rahman Omar

(On the other hand) there are some people who follow ways of causing diversion (from guidance), with the result that they, in their ignorance, lead (people) astray from Allah's path and treat it (- Allah's path) as something of least importance. A humiliating punishment awaits such people

wamina l-nāsi man yashtarī lahwa l-ḥadīthi liyuḍilla ʿan sabīli l-lahi bighayri ʿil'min wayattakhidhahā huzuwan ulāika lahum ʿadhābun muhīnu

31:7

وَإِذَا تُتۡلَىٰ عَلَیۡهِ ءَایَـٰتُنَا وَلَّىٰ مُسۡتَكۡبِرࣰا كَأَن لَّمۡ یَسۡمَعۡهَا كَأَنَّ فِیۤ أُذُنَیۡهِ وَقۡرࣰاۖ فَبَشِّرۡهُ بِعَذَابٍ أَلِیمٍ ۝٧

Amatul Rahman Omar

And when Our Messages are recited to such a person he turns his back (upon them) in disdain as though he never heard them (and) as if he were deaf in both ears. So give him the important tiding of a grievous punishment

wa-idhā tut'lā ʿalayhi āyātunā wallā mus'takbiran ka-an lam yasmaʿhā ka-anna fī udhunayhi waqran fabashir'hu biʿadhābin alīmi

31:8

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ لَهُمۡ جَنَّـٰتُ ٱلنَّعِیمِ ۝٨

Amatul Rahman Omar

As for those who believe and do deeds of righteousness they will have Gardens full of delight and bliss (in Paradise)

inna alladhīna āmanū waʿamilū l-ṣāliḥāti lahum jannātu l-naʿīm

31:9

خَـٰلِدِینَ فِیهَاۖ وَعۡدَ ٱللَّهِ حَقࣰّاۚ وَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِیزُ ٱلۡحَكِیمُ ۝٩

Amatul Rahman Omar

There in they shall live for ever. (This is) a true promise of Allah. And He is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise

khālidīna fīhā waʿda l-lahi ḥaqqan wahuwa l-ʿazīzu l-ḥakīm

31:10

خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ بِغَیۡرِ عَمَدࣲ تَرَوۡنَهَاۖ وَأَلۡقَىٰ فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ رَوَ ٰسِیَ أَن تَمِیدَ بِكُمۡ وَبَثَّ فِیهَا مِن كُلِّ دَاۤبَّةࣲۚ وَأَنزَلۡنَا مِنَ ٱلسَّمَاۤءِ مَاۤءࣰ فَأَنۢبَتۡنَا فِیهَا مِن كُلِّ زَوۡجࣲ كَرِیمٍ ۝١٠

Amatul Rahman Omar

He has created the heavens without any such pillars as you can see. And He has placed firm mountains in the earth that it may not quake with you and to provide you food. And He has scattered in it all kinds of creatures and has rained water from the clouds and caused to grow in it (animals and vegetation) of different fine species

khalaqa l-samāwāti bighayri ʿamadin tarawnahā wa-alqā fī l-arḍi rawāsiya an tamīda bikum wabatha fīhā min kulli dābbatin wa-anzalnā mina l-samāi māan fa-anbatnā fīhā min kulli zawjin karīmi

31:11

هَـٰذَا خَلۡقُ ٱللَّهِ فَأَرُونِی مَاذَا خَلَقَ ٱلَّذِینَ مِن دُونِهِۦۚ بَلِ ٱلظَّـٰلِمُونَ فِی ضَلَـٰلࣲ مُّبِینࣲ ۝١١

Amatul Rahman Omar

So this is Allah's creation! Now, you show me the things that those (whom you worship as gods) other than Allah, have created. Nay, but the unjust (who do not believe in One God) are (engrossed) in obvious error

hādhā khalqu l-lahi fa-arūnī mādhā khalaqa alladhīna min dūnihi bali l-ẓālimūna fī ḍalālin mubīni

31:12

وَلَقَدۡ ءَاتَیۡنَا لُقۡمَـٰنَ ٱلۡحِكۡمَةَ أَنِ ٱشۡكُرۡ لِلَّهِۚ وَمَن یَشۡكُرۡ فَإِنَّمَا یَشۡكُرُ لِنَفۡسِهِۦۖ وَمَن كَفَرَ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَنِیٌّ حَمِیدࣱ ۝١٢

Amatul Rahman Omar

Behold! We bestowed wisdom on Luqman and said, `Give thanks to Allah, for he who gives thanks does it only for his own good; and he who shows ingratitude (should know that) Allah (needs no gratitude, He) is Self- Sufficient, Praiseworthy (in His own right)

walaqad ātaynā luq'māna l-ḥik'mata ani ush'kur lillahi waman yashkur fa-innamā yashkuru linafsihi waman kafara fa-inna l-laha ghaniyyun ḥamīdu

31:13

وَإِذۡ قَالَ لُقۡمَـٰنُ لِٱبۡنِهِۦ وَهُوَ یَعِظُهُۥ یَـٰبُنَیَّ لَا تُشۡرِكۡ بِٱللَّهِۖ إِنَّ ٱلشِّرۡكَ لَظُلۡمٌ عَظِیمࣱ ۝١٣

Amatul Rahman Omar

And (recall the time) when Luqman admonished his son and said, `My dear son! associate no partners with Allah, surely this (act of) associating partners (with Him) is a grievous wrong

wa-idh qāla luq'mānu li-ib'nihi wahuwa yaʿiẓuhu yābunayya lā tush'rik bil-lahi inna l-shir'ka laẓul'mun ʿaẓīmu

31:14

وَوَصَّیۡنَا ٱلۡإِنسَـٰنَ بِوَ ٰلِدَیۡهِ حَمَلَتۡهُ أُمُّهُۥ وَهۡنًا عَلَىٰ وَهۡنࣲ وَفِصَـٰلُهُۥ فِی عَامَیۡنِ أَنِ ٱشۡكُرۡ لِی وَلِوَ ٰلِدَیۡكَ إِلَیَّ ٱلۡمَصِیرُ ۝١٤

Amatul Rahman Omar

`And (Allah says), "We have enjoined on every human being concerning his parents (to be good to them). His mother is worn and wasted in bearing him and it takes her two years to wean him. And give thanks to Me and to your parents. To Me shall be the (ultimate) return (of you all)

wawaṣṣaynā l-insāna biwālidayhi ḥamalathu ummuhu wahnan ʿalā wahnin wafiṣāluhu fī ʿāmayni ani ush'kur lī waliwālidayka ilayya l-maṣīr

31:15

وَإِن جَـٰهَدَاكَ عَلَىٰۤ أَن تُشۡرِكَ بِی مَا لَیۡسَ لَكَ بِهِۦ عِلۡمࣱ فَلَا تُطِعۡهُمَاۖ وَصَاحِبۡهُمَا فِی ٱلدُّنۡیَا مَعۡرُوفࣰاۖ وَٱتَّبِعۡ سَبِیلَ مَنۡ أَنَابَ إِلَیَّۚ ثُمَّ إِلَیَّ مَرۡجِعُكُمۡ فَأُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُونَ ۝١٥

Amatul Rahman Omar

"But if they (-the parents) impose upon you to set up equals with Me, the things that you know to be nothing at all, do not obey them (so far as this wish of theirs is concerned). Yet keep company with them showing uniform courtesy, love and kindness to them in (all) worldly affairs. But (in spiritual matters) follow the way of one who turns to Me (in obedience and repentance). Then to Me will be the ultimate return of you all and I shall inform you all about your deeds".

wa-in jāhadāka ʿalā an tush'rika bī mā laysa laka bihi ʿil'mun falā tuṭiʿ'humā waṣāḥib'humā fī l-dun'yā maʿrūfan wa-ittabiʿ sabīla man anāba ilayya thumma ilayya marjiʿukum fa-unabbi-ukum bimā kuntum taʿmalūn

31:16

یَـٰبُنَیَّ إِنَّهَاۤ إِن تَكُ مِثۡقَالَ حَبَّةࣲ مِّنۡ خَرۡدَلࣲ فَتَكُن فِی صَخۡرَةٍ أَوۡ فِی ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ أَوۡ فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ یَأۡتِ بِهَا ٱللَّهُۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَطِیفٌ خَبِیرࣱ ۝١٦

Amatul Rahman Omar

(Luqman continued,) `My dear son! even if it (-the deed, good or bad) be as little as the weight of a grain of a mustard seed and even though it be hidden in (the hard layers of) a rock or in (the lofty heights of) the heavens or in (the dark womb of) the earth, Allah is sure to bring it (to light and take an account of it). Verily, Allah is the Knower of all subtleties (and all hidden secrets) and is All-Aware

yābunayya innahā in taku mith'qāla ḥabbatin min khardalin fatakun fī ṣakhratin aw fī l-samāwāti aw fī l-arḍi yati bihā l-lahu inna l-laha laṭīfun khabīru

31:17

یَـٰبُنَیَّ أَقِمِ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَأۡمُرۡ بِٱلۡمَعۡرُوفِ وَٱنۡهَ عَنِ ٱلۡمُنكَرِ وَٱصۡبِرۡ عَلَىٰ مَاۤ أَصَابَكَۖ إِنَّ ذَ ٰلِكَ مِنۡ عَزۡمِ ٱلۡأُمُورِ ۝١٧

Amatul Rahman Omar

`My dear son! observe the prayer and enjoin what is good and just and forbid what is evil and wrong and endure with fortitude what befalls you. Verily, all these are matters (which stand in need) of strong resolve

yābunayya aqimi l-ṣalata wamur bil-maʿrūfi wa-in'ha ʿani l-munkari wa-iṣ'bir ʿalā mā aṣābaka inna dhālika min ʿazmi l-umūr

31:18

وَلَا تُصَعِّرۡ خَدَّكَ لِلنَّاسِ وَلَا تَمۡشِ فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ مَرَحًاۖ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا یُحِبُّ كُلَّ مُخۡتَالࣲ فَخُورࣲ ۝١٨

Amatul Rahman Omar

`And do not turn your face away from people in scorn and pride, nor walk about on the earth haughtily. Surely, Allah does not love any self-conceited boaster

walā tuṣaʿʿir khaddaka lilnnāsi walā tamshi fī l-arḍi maraḥan inna l-laha lā yuḥibbu kulla mukh'tālin fakhūri

31:19

وَٱقۡصِدۡ فِی مَشۡیِكَ وَٱغۡضُضۡ مِن صَوۡتِكَۚ إِنَّ أَنكَرَ ٱلۡأَصۡوَ ٰتِ لَصَوۡتُ ٱلۡحَمِیرِ ۝١٩

Amatul Rahman Omar

`Rather walk with modest pace and talk in soft gentle tone. Surely, the most repugnant of voices is the braying of the donkey.

wa-iq'ṣid fī mashyika wa-ugh'ḍuḍ min ṣawtika inna ankara l-aṣwāti laṣawtu l-ḥamīr

31:20

أَلَمۡ تَرَوۡا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ سَخَّرَ لَكُم مَّا فِی ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَمَا فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَأَسۡبَغَ عَلَیۡكُمۡ نِعَمَهُۥ ظَـٰهِرَةࣰ وَبَاطِنَةࣰۗ وَمِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ مَن یُجَـٰدِلُ فِی ٱللَّهِ بِغَیۡرِ عِلۡمࣲ وَلَا هُدࣰى وَلَا كِتَـٰبࣲ مُّنِیرࣲ ۝٢٠

Amatul Rahman Omar

Do you not see how Allah has made subservient to you all that is in the heavens and all that is on the earth and lavished upon you His blessings (both) visible and invisible? Still there are some among mankind who argue about Allah though they have no knowledge, no guidance and no illuminating Book

alam taraw anna l-laha sakhara lakum mā fī l-samāwāti wamā fī l-arḍi wa-asbagha ʿalaykum niʿamahu ẓāhiratan wabāṭinatan wamina l-nāsi man yujādilu fī l-lahi bighayri ʿil'min walā hudan walā kitābin munīri

31:21

وَإِذَا قِیلَ لَهُمُ ٱتَّبِعُوا۟ مَاۤ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ قَالُوا۟ بَلۡ نَتَّبِعُ مَا وَجَدۡنَا عَلَیۡهِ ءَابَاۤءَنَاۤۚ أَوَ لَوۡ كَانَ ٱلشَّیۡطَـٰنُ یَدۡعُوهُمۡ إِلَىٰ عَذَابِ ٱلسَّعِیرِ ۝٢١

Amatul Rahman Omar

And when it is said to them, `Follow that which Allah has revealed.' They say, `We would rather follow that which we found our fore- fathers following.' (Would they do so) even though satan was inviting them (by that means) to the punishment of the flaming Fire

wa-idhā qīla lahumu ittabiʿū mā anzala l-lahu qālū bal nattabiʿu mā wajadnā ʿalayhi ābāanā awalaw kāna l-shayṭānu yadʿūhum ilā ʿadhābi l-saʿīr

31:22

۞ وَمَن یُسۡلِمۡ وَجۡهَهُۥۤ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ وَهُوَ مُحۡسِنࣱ فَقَدِ ٱسۡتَمۡسَكَ بِٱلۡعُرۡوَةِ ٱلۡوُثۡقَىٰۗ وَإِلَى ٱللَّهِ عَـٰقِبَةُ ٱلۡأُمُورِ ۝٢٢

Amatul Rahman Omar

And he who resigns himself wholly and solely to the will of Allah and is a doer of good to others has indeed a hold on a support, firm and strong. And the end of all matters rests with Allah (Who causes their results)

waman yus'lim wajhahu ilā l-lahi wahuwa muḥ'sinun faqadi is'tamsaka bil-ʿur'wati l-wuth'qā wa-ilā l-lahi ʿāqibatu l-umūr

31:23

وَمَن كَفَرَ فَلَا یَحۡزُنكَ كُفۡرُهُۥۤۚ إِلَیۡنَا مَرۡجِعُهُمۡ فَنُنَبِّئُهُم بِمَا عَمِلُوۤا۟ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلِیمُۢ بِذَاتِ ٱلصُّدُورِ ۝٢٣

Amatul Rahman Omar

And as for him who disbelieves, let not his disbelief grieve you. To Us is their return (in the long run); We shall inform them all that they did. Verily, Allah knows full well the innermost (thoughts) of their minds

waman kafara falā yaḥzunka kuf'ruhu ilaynā marjiʿuhum fanunabbi-uhum bimā ʿamilū inna l-laha ʿalīmun bidhāti l-ṣudūr

31:24

نُمَتِّعُهُمۡ قَلِیلࣰا ثُمَّ نَضۡطَرُّهُمۡ إِلَىٰ عَذَابٍ غَلِیظࣲ ۝٢٤

Amatul Rahman Omar

We shall let them enjoy (the worldly provisions) for a short while, then We shall drive them helplessly to a severe punishment

numattiʿuhum qalīlan thumma naḍṭarruhum ilā ʿadhābin ghalīẓi

31:25

وَلَىِٕن سَأَلۡتَهُم مَّنۡ خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ لَیَقُولُنَّ ٱللَّهُۚ قُلِ ٱلۡحَمۡدُ لِلَّهِۚ بَلۡ أَكۡثَرُهُمۡ لَا یَعۡلَمُونَ ۝٢٥

Amatul Rahman Omar

And if you ask them, `Who has created the heavens and the earth?' They will certainly answer, `Allah.' Say, `All type of perfect and true praise belongs to Allah!' But most of them do not know (the meanings implied in it)

wala-in sa-altahum man khalaqa l-samāwāti wal-arḍa layaqūlunna l-lahu quli l-ḥamdu lillahi bal aktharuhum lā yaʿlamūn

31:26

لِلَّهِ مَا فِی ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلۡغَنِیُّ ٱلۡحَمِیدُ ۝٢٦

Amatul Rahman Omar

All that lies in the heavens and the earth belongs to Allah. Verily, Allah is Self- Sufficient, and is Praiseworthy (in His own right)

lillahi mā fī l-samāwāti wal-arḍi inna l-laha huwa l-ghaniyu l-ḥamīd

31:27

وَلَوۡ أَنَّمَا فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ مِن شَجَرَةٍ أَقۡلَـٰمࣱ وَٱلۡبَحۡرُ یَمُدُّهُۥ مِنۢ بَعۡدِهِۦ سَبۡعَةُ أَبۡحُرࣲ مَّا نَفِدَتۡ كَلِمَـٰتُ ٱللَّهِۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَزِیزٌ حَكِیمࣱ ۝٢٧

Amatul Rahman Omar

And if all the trees on the earth were to be pens and the vast ocean (be full of ink) and besides that many (more) such oceans to replenish it (and were to supply ink to write the words of God) even then the words of Allah would not be finished. Verily, Allah is All-Mighty, All-Wise

walaw annamā fī l-arḍi min shajaratin aqlāmun wal-baḥru yamudduhu min baʿdihi sabʿatu abḥurin mā nafidat kalimātu l-lahi inna l-laha ʿazīzun ḥakīmu

31:28

مَّا خَلۡقُكُمۡ وَلَا بَعۡثُكُمۡ إِلَّا كَنَفۡسࣲ وَ ٰحِدَةٍۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ سَمِیعُۢ بَصِیرٌ ۝٢٨

Amatul Rahman Omar

The creation of you all and your resurrection (for Him) are only like (the creation and resurrection of) one single soul; (all human beings are subject to the same laws of God). Verily, Allah is All-Hearing, All-Seeing

mā khalqukum walā baʿthukum illā kanafsin wāḥidatin inna l-laha samīʿun baṣīru

31:29

أَلَمۡ تَرَ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ یُولِجُ ٱلَّیۡلَ فِی ٱلنَّهَارِ وَیُولِجُ ٱلنَّهَارَ فِی ٱلَّیۡلِ وَسَخَّرَ ٱلشَّمۡسَ وَٱلۡقَمَرَۖ كُلࣱّ یَجۡرِیۤ إِلَىٰۤ أَجَلࣲ مُّسَمࣰّى وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ خَبِیرࣱ ۝٢٩

Amatul Rahman Omar

Do you not see that Allah makes the night gain on the day and makes the day gain on the night and He has harnessed the sun and the moon (into the service of mankind) each one of them pursuing its course for a stated term? And (do you not see) that Allah is Well-Aware of your deeds

alam tara anna l-laha yūliju al-layla fī l-nahāri wayūliju l-nahāra fī al-layli wasakhara l-shamsa wal-qamara kullun yajrī ilā ajalin musamman wa-anna l-laha bimā taʿmalūna khabīru

31:30

ذَ ٰلِكَ بِأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلۡحَقُّ وَأَنَّ مَا یَدۡعُونَ مِن دُونِهِ ٱلۡبَـٰطِلُ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلۡعَلِیُّ ٱلۡكَبِیرُ ۝٣٠

Amatul Rahman Omar

All this is (going on) because Allah alone is the Ultimate Truth and because all that they call upon beside Him are false (gods) and because Allah alone is the Most Exalted, the Incomparably Great

dhālika bi-anna l-laha huwa l-ḥaqu wa-anna mā yadʿūna min dūnihi l-bāṭilu wa-anna l-laha huwa l-ʿaliyu l-kabīr

31:31

أَلَمۡ تَرَ أَنَّ ٱلۡفُلۡكَ تَجۡرِی فِی ٱلۡبَحۡرِ بِنِعۡمَتِ ٱللَّهِ لِیُرِیَكُم مِّنۡ ءَایَـٰتِهِۦۤۚ إِنَّ فِی ذَ ٰلِكَ لَءَایَـٰتࣲ لِّكُلِّ صَبَّارࣲ شَكُورࣲ ۝٣١

Amatul Rahman Omar

Do you not see that the ships sail through the sea carrying bounty by the favour of Allah. (He has ordained it so) that He may show some of His signs to you. Surely, in this are important signs for every patiently persevering and grateful person

alam tara anna l-ful'ka tajrī fī l-baḥri biniʿ'mati l-lahi liyuriyakum min āyātihi inna fī dhālika laāyātin likulli ṣabbārin shakūri

31:32

وَإِذَا غَشِیَهُم مَّوۡجࣱ كَٱلظُّلَلِ دَعَوُا۟ ٱللَّهَ مُخۡلِصِینَ لَهُ ٱلدِّینَ فَلَمَّا نَجَّىٰهُمۡ إِلَى ٱلۡبَرِّ فَمِنۡهُم مُّقۡتَصِدࣱۚ وَمَا یَجۡحَدُ بِءَایَـٰتِنَاۤ إِلَّا كُلُّ خَتَّارࣲ كَفُورࣲ ۝٣٢

Amatul Rahman Omar

And when a huge wave covers (the sailors) like (so many) canopies, they call upon Allah bearing sincere faith in Him. But when He brings them safe to land then (only) some of them keep to the right course (and some of them become indifferent). Yet none denies Our signs except every perfidious ungrateful person

wa-idhā ghashiyahum mawjun kal-ẓulali daʿawū l-laha mukh'liṣīna lahu l-dīna falammā najjāhum ilā l-bari famin'hum muq'taṣidun wamā yajḥadu biāyātinā illā kullu khattārin kafūri

31:33

یَـٰۤأَیُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ ٱتَّقُوا۟ رَبَّكُمۡ وَٱخۡشَوۡا۟ یَوۡمࣰا لَّا یَجۡزِی وَالِدٌ عَن وَلَدِهِۦ وَلَا مَوۡلُودٌ هُوَ جَازٍ عَن وَالِدِهِۦ شَیۡءًاۚ إِنَّ وَعۡدَ ٱللَّهِ حَقࣱّۖ فَلَا تَغُرَّنَّكُمُ ٱلۡحَیَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنۡیَا وَلَا یَغُرَّنَّكُم بِٱللَّهِ ٱلۡغَرُورُ ۝٣٣

Amatul Rahman Omar

Mankind! take your Lord as a shield and guard against the day when a father will be of no avail to his son, nor will (any of) the offspring be availing his father. Allah's promise (about the coming of that day) is true indeed. Therefore,do not let the present life beguile you, nor let an arch-deceiver entice you away from Allah

yāayyuhā l-nāsu ittaqū rabbakum wa-ikh'shaw yawman lā yajzī wālidun ʿan waladihi walā mawlūdun huwa jāzin ʿan wālidihi shayan inna waʿda l-lahi ḥaqqun falā taghurrannakumu l-ḥayatu l-dun'yā walā yaghurrannakum bil-lahi l-gharūr

31:34

إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عِندَهُۥ عِلۡمُ ٱلسَّاعَةِ وَیُنَزِّلُ ٱلۡغَیۡثَ وَیَعۡلَمُ مَا فِی ٱلۡأَرۡحَامِۖ وَمَا تَدۡرِی نَفۡسࣱ مَّاذَا تَكۡسِبُ غَدࣰاۖ وَمَا تَدۡرِی نَفۡسُۢ بِأَیِّ أَرۡضࣲ تَمُوتُۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلِیمٌ خَبِیرُۢ ۝٣٤

Amatul Rahman Omar

Verily, Allah alone has the knowledge of the Hour (of Resurrection). He sends down the rain. And He knows what the wombs contain. And nobody knows what he will accomplish on the morrow. And nobody knows the land where he will die. Verily, Allah (alone) is the All-Knowing, All-Aware

inna l-laha ʿindahu ʿil'mu l-sāʿati wayunazzilu l-ghaytha wayaʿlamu mā fī l-arḥāmi wamā tadrī nafsun mādhā taksibu ghadan wamā tadrī nafsun bi-ayyi arḍin tamūtu inna l-laha ʿalīmun khabīru
