The Prostration, Worship, Adoration, The Adoration — Musharraf Hussain Translation

They say: “Muhammad has made it up”? On the contrary, it is the truth from your Lord, revealed to you to warn a people to whom no warner has come before you, so they may be guided.

am yaqūlūna if'tarāhu bal huwa l-ḥaqu min rabbika litundhira qawman mā atāhum min nadhīrin min qablika laʿallahum yahtadūn

32:4

ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِی خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ وَمَا بَیۡنَهُمَا فِی سِتَّةِ أَیَّامࣲ ثُمَّ ٱسۡتَوَىٰ عَلَى ٱلۡعَرۡشِۖ مَا لَكُم مِّن دُونِهِۦ مِن وَلِیࣲّ وَلَا شَفِیعٍۚ أَفَلَا تَتَذَكَّرُونَ ۝٤

Musharraf Hussain

Allah created the Heavens and the Earth and what’s between them in six days, and then established Himself upon the Throne. You have no helper or intercessor beside Him. Will you not pay attention

al-lahu alladhī khalaqa l-samāwāti wal-arḍa wamā baynahumā fī sittati ayyāmin thumma is'tawā ʿalā l-ʿarshi mā lakum min dūnihi min waliyyin walā shafīʿin afalā tatadhakkarūn

32:5

یُدَبِّرُ ٱلۡأَمۡرَ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَاۤءِ إِلَى ٱلۡأَرۡضِ ثُمَّ یَعۡرُجُ إِلَیۡهِ فِی یَوۡمࣲ كَانَ مِقۡدَارُهُۥۤ أَلۡفَ سَنَةࣲ مِّمَّا تَعُدُّونَ ۝٥

Musharraf Hussain

He oversees the running of everything from the sky to the Earth, which will then go up to Him on a Day whose extent shall be like a thousand years by your counting.

yudabbiru l-amra mina l-samāi ilā l-arḍi thumma yaʿruju ilayhi fī yawmin kāna miq'dāruhu alfa sanatin mimmā taʿuddūn

32:6

ذَ ٰلِكَ عَـٰلِمُ ٱلۡغَیۡبِ وَٱلشَّهَـٰدَةِ ٱلۡعَزِیزُ ٱلرَّحِیمُ ۝٦

Musharraf Hussain

Such is the Knower of the seen and the unseen realms, the Almighty, the Caring,

dhālika ʿālimu l-ghaybi wal-shahādati l-ʿazīzu l-raḥīm

32:7

ٱلَّذِیۤ أَحۡسَنَ كُلَّ شَیۡءٍ خَلَقَهُۥۖ وَبَدَأَ خَلۡقَ ٱلۡإِنسَـٰنِ مِن طِینࣲ ۝٧

Musharraf Hussain

He created everything perfectly; He began the creation of the first human from clay,

alladhī aḥsana kulla shayin khalaqahu wabada-a khalqa l-insāni min ṭīni

32:8

ثُمَّ جَعَلَ نَسۡلَهُۥ مِن سُلَـٰلَةࣲ مِّن مَّاۤءࣲ مَّهِینࣲ ۝٨

Musharraf Hussain

and then made his offspring from a drop of semen.

thumma jaʿala naslahu min sulālatin min māin mahīni

32:9

ثُمَّ سَوَّىٰهُ وَنَفَخَ فِیهِ مِن رُّوحِهِۦۖ وَجَعَلَ لَكُمُ ٱلسَّمۡعَ وَٱلۡأَبۡصَـٰرَ وَٱلۡأَفۡءِدَةَۚ قَلِیلࣰا مَّا تَشۡكُرُونَ ۝٩

Musharraf Hussain

Then He gave Adam his form, and blew into him of His spirit; and gave you hearing, sight and awareness. Little do you thank

thumma sawwāhu wanafakha fīhi min rūḥihi wajaʿala lakumu l-samʿa wal-abṣāra wal-afidata qalīlan mā tashkurūn

32:10

وَقَالُوۤا۟ أَءِذَا ضَلَلۡنَا فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ أَءِنَّا لَفِی خَلۡقࣲ جَدِیدِۭۚ بَلۡ هُم بِلِقَاۤءِ رَبِّهِمۡ كَـٰفِرُونَ ۝١٠

Musharraf Hussain

The disbelievers say: “How is it possible when we have decomposed in the Earth, we shall be created anew?” They are in denial of meeting their Lord.

waqālū a-idhā ḍalalnā fī l-arḍi a-innā lafī khalqin jadīdin bal hum biliqāi rabbihim kāfirūn

32:11

۞ قُلۡ یَتَوَفَّىٰكُم مَّلَكُ ٱلۡمَوۡتِ ٱلَّذِی وُكِّلَ بِكُمۡ ثُمَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكُمۡ تُرۡجَعُونَ ۝١١

Musharraf Hussain

Say: “The angel of death assigned to you will take your soul, and you will be returned to your Lord.”

qul yatawaffākum malaku l-mawti alladhī wukkila bikum thumma ilā rabbikum tur'jaʿūn

32:12

وَلَوۡ تَرَىٰۤ إِذِ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمُونَ نَاكِسُوا۟ رُءُوسِهِمۡ عِندَ رَبِّهِمۡ رَبَّنَاۤ أَبۡصَرۡنَا وَسَمِعۡنَا فَٱرۡجِعۡنَا نَعۡمَلۡ صَـٰلِحًا إِنَّا مُوقِنُونَ ۝١٢

Musharraf Hussain

If only you could see the evildoers bowing their heads before their Lord and saying: “Our Lord, we’ve seen and heard the truth, let us go back to the world and we shall do good deeds; we are convinced now.”

walaw tarā idhi l-muj'rimūna nākisū ruūsihim ʿinda rabbihim rabbanā abṣarnā wasamiʿ'nā fa-ir'jiʿ'nā naʿmal ṣāliḥan innā mūqinūn

32:13

وَلَوۡ شِئۡنَا لَءَاتَیۡنَا كُلَّ نَفۡسٍ هُدَىٰهَا وَلَـٰكِنۡ حَقَّ ٱلۡقَوۡلُ مِنِّی لَأَمۡلَأَنَّ جَهَنَّمَ مِنَ ٱلۡجِنَّةِ وَٱلنَّاسِ أَجۡمَعِینَ ۝١٣

Musharraf Hussain

If We had so wished, We could have given every person guidance; but My declaration will be fulfilled: “I will fill Hell with jinn and humans,

walaw shi'nā laātaynā kulla nafsin hudāhā walākin ḥaqqa l-qawlu minnī la-amla-anna jahannama mina l-jinati wal-nāsi ajmaʿīn

32:14

فَذُوقُوا۟ بِمَا نَسِیتُمۡ لِقَاۤءَ یَوۡمِكُمۡ هَـٰذَاۤ إِنَّا نَسِینَـٰكُمۡۖ وَذُوقُوا۟ عَذَابَ ٱلۡخُلۡدِ بِمَا كُنتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُونَ ۝١٤

Musharraf Hussain

so taste the punishment, because you ignored the coming of this Day. We shall now ignore you. Taste this everlasting torment for what you did.

fadhūqū bimā nasītum liqāa yawmikum hādhā innā nasīnākum wadhūqū ʿadhāba l-khul'di bimā kuntum taʿmalūn

32:15

إِنَّمَا یُؤۡمِنُ بِءَایَـٰتِنَا ٱلَّذِینَ إِذَا ذُكِّرُوا۟ بِهَا خَ̅رُّ̅و̅ا۟̅ ̅سُ̅جَّ̅دࣰ̅ا̅ وَسَبَّحُوا۟ بِحَمۡدِ رَبِّهِمۡ وَهُمۡ لَا یَسۡتَكۡبِرُونَ ۝١٥ ۩

Musharraf Hussain

When some people are reminded of Our signs they believe and fall in prostration, glorify and praise their Lord, and aren’t arrogant.

innamā yu'minu biāyātinā alladhīna idhā dhukkirū bihā kharrū sujjadan wasabbaḥū biḥamdi rabbihim wahum lā yastakbirūn

32:16

تَتَجَافَىٰ جُنُوبُهُمۡ عَنِ ٱلۡمَضَاجِعِ یَدۡعُونَ رَبَّهُمۡ خَوۡفࣰا وَطَمَعࣰا وَمِمَّا رَزَقۡنَـٰهُمۡ یُنفِقُونَ ۝١٦

Musharraf Hussain

They drag themselves out of bed to worship their Lord, with fear and hope, and they spend in charity from what We provided them.

tatajāfā junūbuhum ʿani l-maḍājiʿi yadʿūna rabbahum khawfan waṭamaʿan wamimmā razaqnāhum yunfiqūn

32:17

فَلَا تَعۡلَمُ نَفۡسࣱ مَّاۤ أُخۡفِیَ لَهُم مِّن قُرَّةِ أَعۡیُنࣲ جَزَاۤءَۢ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ یَعۡمَلُونَ ۝١٧

Musharraf Hussain

No one knows what blissful delights have been set aside for them as a reward for what they did.

falā taʿlamu nafsun mā ukh'fiya lahum min qurrati aʿyunin jazāan bimā kānū yaʿmalūn

32:18

أَفَمَن كَانَ مُؤۡمِنࣰا كَمَن كَانَ فَاسِقࣰاۚ لَّا یَسۡتَوُۥنَ ۝١٨

Musharraf Hussain

So, can a believer be compared to a sinner? They aren’t equal.

afaman kāna mu'minan kaman kāna fāsiqan lā yastawūn

32:19

أَمَّا ٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ فَلَهُمۡ جَنَّـٰتُ ٱلۡمَأۡوَىٰ نُزُلَۢا بِمَا كَانُوا۟ یَعۡمَلُونَ ۝١٩

Musharraf Hussain

Those who believed and were righteous shall be in the gardens of Mawa, hospitality for what they did

ammā alladhīna āmanū waʿamilū l-ṣāliḥāti falahum jannātu l-mawā nuzulan bimā kānū yaʿmalūn

32:20

وَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِینَ فَسَقُوا۟ فَمَأۡوَىٰهُمُ ٱلنَّارُۖ كُلَّمَاۤ أَرَادُوۤا۟ أَن یَخۡرُجُوا۟ مِنۡهَاۤ أُعِیدُوا۟ فِیهَا وَقِیلَ لَهُمۡ ذُوقُوا۟ عَذَابَ ٱلنَّارِ ٱلَّذِی كُنتُم بِهِۦ تُكَذِّبُونَ ۝٢٠

Musharraf Hussain

The major sinners will have a home, the Fire; and every time they try to escape it, they will be thrown back, and told: “Taste the torment of the Fire you denied.”

wa-ammā alladhīna fasaqū famawāhumu l-nāru kullamā arādū an yakhrujū min'hā uʿīdū fīhā waqīla lahum dhūqū ʿadhāba l-nāri alladhī kuntum bihi tukadhibūn

32:21

وَلَنُذِیقَنَّهُم مِّنَ ٱلۡعَذَابِ ٱلۡأَدۡنَىٰ دُونَ ٱلۡعَذَابِ ٱلۡأَكۡبَرِ لَعَلَّهُمۡ یَرۡجِعُونَ ۝٢١

Musharraf Hussain

We’ll make them taste the lesser torment in this life, and the greater torment in the Hereafter, so they may return to the straight path. </i

walanudhīqannahum mina l-ʿadhābi l-adnā dūna l-ʿadhābi l-akbari laʿallahum yarjiʿūn

32:22

وَمَنۡ أَظۡلَمُ مِمَّن ذُكِّرَ بِءَایَـٰتِ رَبِّهِۦ ثُمَّ أَعۡرَضَ عَنۡهَاۤۚ إِنَّا مِنَ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمِینَ مُنتَقِمُونَ ۝٢٢

Musharraf Hussain

Who can do himself greater wrong than the one who is reminded of his Lord’s verses and turns his back on them. We shall punish the evildoers

waman aẓlamu mimman dhukkira biāyāti rabbihi thumma aʿraḍa ʿanhā innā mina l-muj'rimīna muntaqimūn

32:23

وَلَقَدۡ ءَاتَیۡنَا مُوسَى ٱلۡكِتَـٰبَ فَلَا تَكُن فِی مِرۡیَةࣲ مِّن لِّقَاۤىِٕهِۦۖ وَجَعَلۡنَـٰهُ هُدࣰى لِّبَنِیۤ إِسۡرَ ٰۤءِیلَ ۝٢٣

Musharraf Hussain

We gave Musa the Book; don’t doubt receiving it; and We made it a guide for the Israelites.

walaqad ātaynā mūsā l-kitāba falā takun fī mir'yatin min liqāihi wajaʿalnāhu hudan libanī is'rāīl

32:24

وَجَعَلۡنَا مِنۡهُمۡ أَىِٕمَّةࣰ یَهۡدُونَ بِأَمۡرِنَا لَمَّا صَبَرُوا۟ۖ وَكَانُوا۟ بِءَایَـٰتِنَا یُوقِنُونَ ۝٢٤

Musharraf Hussain

Some of them We made leaders, guiding others patiently with Our Command; and they were convinced of Our signs.

wajaʿalnā min'hum a-immatan yahdūna bi-amrinā lammā ṣabarū wakānū biāyātinā yūqinūn

32:25

إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ یَفۡصِلُ بَیۡنَهُمۡ یَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِیَـٰمَةِ فِیمَا كَانُوا۟ فِیهِ یَخۡتَلِفُونَ ۝٢٥

Musharraf Hussain

Your Lord will judge between them on Judgement Day concerning what they differed about.

inna rabbaka huwa yafṣilu baynahum yawma l-qiyāmati fīmā kānū fīhi yakhtalifūn

32:26

أَوَ لَمۡ یَهۡدِ لَهُمۡ كَمۡ أَهۡلَكۡنَا مِن قَبۡلِهِم مِّنَ ٱلۡقُرُونِ یَمۡشُونَ فِی مَسَـٰكِنِهِمۡۚ إِنَّ فِی ذَ ٰلِكَ لَءَایَـٰتٍۚ أَفَلَا یَسۡمَعُونَ ۝٢٦

Musharraf Hussain

How many generations before them We destroyed in whose former homes they walk, isn’t there a lesson for them? In that are signs. So why don’t they listen?

awalam yahdi lahum kam ahlaknā min qablihim mina l-qurūni yamshūna fī masākinihim inna fī dhālika laāyātin afalā yasmaʿūn

32:27

أَوَ لَمۡ یَرَوۡا۟ أَنَّا نَسُوقُ ٱلۡمَاۤءَ إِلَى ٱلۡأَرۡضِ ٱلۡجُرُزِ فَنُخۡرِجُ بِهِۦ زَرۡعࣰا تَأۡكُلُ مِنۡهُ أَنۡعَـٰمُهُمۡ وَأَنفُسُهُمۡۚ أَفَلَا یُبۡصِرُونَ ۝٢٧

Musharraf Hussain

Haven’t they considered how We move the clouds towards dry land, thereby producing crops from which they and their livestock eat? Have they no insight

awalam yaraw annā nasūqu l-māa ilā l-arḍi l-juruzi fanukh'riju bihi zarʿan takulu min'hu anʿāmuhum wa-anfusuhum afalā yub'ṣirūn

32:28

وَیَقُولُونَ مَتَىٰ هَـٰذَا ٱلۡفَتۡحُ إِن كُنتُمۡ صَـٰدِقِینَ ۝٢٨

Musharraf Hussain

They say, “When will this judgement come to pass, if you are telling the truth?”

wayaqūlūna matā hādhā l-fatḥu in kuntum ṣādiqīn

32:29

قُلۡ یَوۡمَ ٱلۡفَتۡحِ لَا یَنفَعُ ٱلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوۤا۟ إِیمَـٰنُهُمۡ وَلَا هُمۡ یُنظَرُونَ ۝٢٩

Musharraf Hussain

Say: “On Decision Day, their new-found faith will not benefit the disbelievers, nor will they be given time to repent.”

qul yawma l-fatḥi lā yanfaʿu alladhīna kafarū īmānuhum walā hum yunẓarūn

32:30

فَأَعۡرِضۡ عَنۡهُمۡ وَٱنتَظِرۡ إِنَّهُم مُّنتَظِرُونَ ۝٣٠

Musharraf Hussain

So take no notice of them; wait, as they are waiting

fa-aʿriḍ ʿanhum wa-intaẓir innahum muntaẓirūn
