1 Hudaibiyah Truce — a Victory

إِنَّا فَتَحۡنَا لَكَ فَتۡحࣰا مُّبِینࣰا ۝١

Surely, Allah has given to you (O Muhammad) a clear victory (treaty of Hudaibiyah),

innā fataḥnā laka fatḥan mubīna

لِّیَغۡفِرَ لَكَ ٱللَّهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِن ذَنۢبِكَ وَمَا تَأَخَّرَ وَیُتِمَّ نِعۡمَتَهُۥ عَلَیۡكَ وَیَهۡدِیَكَ صِرَ ٰطࣰا مُّسۡتَقِیمࣰا ۝٢

so that Allah may forgive your past as well as future sins, complete His Favor on you, and guide you to the Right Way;

liyaghfira laka l-lahu mā taqaddama min dhanbika wamā ta-akhara wayutimma niʿ'matahu ʿalayka wayahdiyaka ṣirāṭan mus'taqīma

وَیَنصُرَكَ ٱللَّهُ نَصۡرًا عَزِیزًا ۝٣

and Allah may offer you with strong help.

wayanṣuraka l-lahu naṣran ʿazīza

هُوَ ٱلَّذِیۤ أَنزَلَ ٱلسَّكِینَةَ فِی قُلُوبِ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِینَ لِیَزۡدَادُوۤا۟ إِیمَـٰنࣰا مَّعَ إِیمَـٰنِهِمۡۗ وَلِلَّهِ جُنُودُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ عَلِیمًا حَكِیمࣰا ۝٤

It is He Who has sent down the tranquility into the hearts of the believers so that they may add more faith to their present faith. And to Allah belong the forces of the heavens and the earth. Allah is the All-Knower, the All-Wise.

huwa alladhī anzala l-sakīnata fī qulūbi l-mu'minīna liyazdādū īmānan maʿa īmānihim walillahi junūdu l-samāwāti wal-arḍi wakāna l-lahu ʿalīman ḥakīma

لِّیُدۡخِلَ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِینَ وَٱلۡمُؤۡمِنَـٰتِ جَنَّـٰتࣲ تَجۡرِی مِن تَحۡتِهَا ٱلۡأَنۡهَـٰرُ خَـٰلِدِینَ فِیهَا وَیُكَفِّرَ عَنۡهُمۡ سَیِّءَاتِهِمۡۚ وَكَانَ ذَ ٰلِكَ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ فَوۡزًا عَظِیمࣰا ۝٥

(For good deeds) He may admit the believing men and the believing women to gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise), to abide in it forever and to compensate them from their sins, and that is the supreme success with Allah;

liyud'khila l-mu'minīna wal-mu'mināti jannātin tajrī min taḥtihā l-anhāru khālidīna fīhā wayukaffira ʿanhum sayyiātihim wakāna dhālika ʿinda l-lahi fawzan ʿaẓīma

وَیُعَذِّبَ ٱلۡمُنَـٰفِقِینَ وَٱلۡمُنَـٰفِقَـٰتِ وَٱلۡمُشۡرِكِینَ وَٱلۡمُشۡرِكَـٰتِ ٱلظَّاۤنِّینَ بِٱللَّهِ ظَنَّ ٱلسَّوۡءِۚ عَلَیۡهِمۡ دَاۤىِٕرَةُ ٱلسَّوۡءِۖ وَغَضِبَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَیۡهِمۡ وَلَعَنَهُمۡ وَأَعَدَّ لَهُمۡ جَهَنَّمَۖ وَسَاۤءَتۡ مَصِیرࣰا ۝٦

and He may punish the hypocritical men and women, and also the polytheist men and women, who thought evil thoughts about Allah. For them there is a disgraceful punishment and the anger of Allah is upon them. He has cursed them, prepared hell for them, and worst indeed is that destination.

wayuʿadhiba l-munāfiqīna wal-munāfiqāti wal-mush'rikīna wal-mush'rikāti l-ẓānīna bil-lahi ẓanna l-sawi ʿalayhim dāiratu l-sawi waghaḍiba l-lahu ʿalayhim walaʿanahum wa-aʿadda lahum jahannama wasāat maṣīra

وَلِلَّهِ جُنُودُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ عَزِیزًا حَكِیمًا ۝٧

And to Allah belong the forces of the heavens and the earth. And Allah is the All-Powerful, the All-Wise

walillahi junūdu l-samāwāti wal-arḍi wakāna l-lahu ʿazīzan ḥakīma

إِنَّاۤ أَرۡسَلۡنَـٰكَ شَـٰهِدࣰا وَمُبَشِّرࣰا وَنَذِیرࣰا ۝٨

Surely, We have sent you (O Muhammad) as a witness, as a bearer of glad tidings, and as a Warner,

innā arsalnāka shāhidan wamubashiran wanadhīra

لِّتُؤۡمِنُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِۦ وَتُعَزِّرُوهُ وَتُوَقِّرُوهُۚ وَتُسَبِّحُوهُ بُكۡرَةࣰ وَأَصِیلًا ۝٩

so that you people may believe in Allah and His Messenger, and that you may assist him, honor him, and glorify (Allah’s) praises morning and afternoon.

litu'minū bil-lahi warasūlihi watuʿazzirūhu watuwaqqirūhu watusabbiḥūhu buk'ratan wa-aṣīla

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِینَ یُبَایِعُونَكَ إِنَّمَا یُبَایِعُونَ ٱللَّهَ یَدُ ٱللَّهِ فَوۡقَ أَیۡدِیهِمۡۚ فَمَن نَّكَثَ فَإِنَّمَا یَنكُثُ عَلَىٰ نَفۡسِهِۦۖ وَمَنۡ أَوۡفَىٰ بِمَا عَـٰهَدَ عَلَیۡهُ ٱللَّهَ فَسَیُؤۡتِیهِ أَجۡرًا عَظِیمࣰا ۝١٠

Surely, those who gave allegiance to you (O Muhammad), indeed they gave allegiance to Allah. The authority of Allah was over their hands. Then whoever will break its pledge, will break only its own, and whoever will fulfill what it has pledged with Allah, He will bestow a great reward to it.

inna alladhīna yubāyiʿūnaka innamā yubāyiʿūna l-laha yadu l-lahi fawqa aydīhim faman nakatha fa-innamā yankuthu ʿalā nafsihi waman awfā bimā ʿāhada ʿalayhu l-laha fasayu'tīhi ajran ʿaẓīma

2 The Defaulters

سَیَقُولُ لَكَ ٱلۡمُخَلَّفُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡأَعۡرَابِ شَغَلَتۡنَاۤ أَمۡوَ ٰلُنَا وَأَهۡلُونَا فَٱسۡتَغۡفِرۡ لَنَاۚ یَقُولُونَ بِأَلۡسِنَتِهِم مَّا لَیۡسَ فِی قُلُوبِهِمۡۚ قُلۡ فَمَن یَمۡلِكُ لَكُم مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ شَیۡءًا إِنۡ أَرَادَ بِكُمۡ ضَرًّا أَوۡ أَرَادَ بِكُمۡ نَفۡعَۢاۚ بَلۡ كَانَ ٱللَّهُ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ خَبِیرَۢا ۝١١

Those of the Bedouins who stayed behind will say to you: “Our possessions and our families occupied us, so ask forgiveness for us.” They say with their tongues what is not in their hearts. Say: “Who then has any power (to intervene) on your behalf with Allah, if He intends to hurt you or intends to benefit you? Nay, but Allah is All-Aware of what you do.

sayaqūlu laka l-mukhalafūna mina l-aʿrābi shaghalatnā amwālunā wa-ahlūnā fa-is'taghfir lanā yaqūlūna bi-alsinatihim mā laysa fī qulūbihim qul faman yamliku lakum mina l-lahi shayan in arāda bikum ḍarran aw arāda bikum nafʿan bal kāna l-lahu bimā taʿmalūna khabīra

بَلۡ ظَنَنتُمۡ أَن لَّن یَنقَلِبَ ٱلرَّسُولُ وَٱلۡمُؤۡمِنُونَ إِلَىٰۤ أَهۡلِیهِمۡ أَبَدࣰا وَزُیِّنَ ذَ ٰلِكَ فِی قُلُوبِكُمۡ وَظَنَنتُمۡ ظَنَّ ٱلسَّوۡءِ وَكُنتُمۡ قَوۡمَۢا بُورࣰا ۝١٢

Nay, but you thought that the Messenger and the believers would never return to their families; and that was made seem fair in their hearts. You thought evil thoughts and you became a useless people for destruction.”

bal ẓanantum an lan yanqaliba l-rasūlu wal-mu'minūna ilā ahlīhim abadan wazuyyina dhālika fī qulūbikum waẓanantum ẓanna l-sawi wakuntum qawman būra

وَمَن لَّمۡ یُؤۡمِنۢ بِٱللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِۦ فَإِنَّاۤ أَعۡتَدۡنَا لِلۡكَـٰفِرِینَ سَعِیرࣰا ۝١٣

Whoever does not believe in Allah and His Messenger (Muhammad), then surely, We have prepared a blazing fire for the disbelievers.

waman lam yu'min bil-lahi warasūlihi fa-innā aʿtadnā lil'kāfirīna saʿīra

وَلِلَّهِ مُلۡكُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ یَغۡفِرُ لِمَن یَشَاۤءُ وَیُعَذِّبُ مَن یَشَاۤءُۚ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ غَفُورࣰا رَّحِیمࣰا ۝١٤

And to Allah belongs the sovereignty of the heavens and the earth, He forgives whom He wills, and punishes whom He wills. And Allah is ever Forgiving, Merciful.

walillahi mul'ku l-samāwāti wal-arḍi yaghfiru liman yashāu wayuʿadhibu man yashāu wakāna l-lahu ghafūran raḥīma

سَیَقُولُ ٱلۡمُخَلَّفُونَ إِذَا ٱنطَلَقۡتُمۡ إِلَىٰ مَغَانِمَ لِتَأۡخُذُوهَا ذَرُونَا نَتَّبِعۡكُمۡۖ یُرِیدُونَ أَن یُبَدِّلُوا۟ كَلَـٰمَ ٱللَّهِۚ قُل لَّن تَتَّبِعُونَا كَذَ ٰلِكُمۡ قَالَ ٱللَّهُ مِن قَبۡلُۖ فَسَیَقُولُونَ بَلۡ تَحۡسُدُونَنَاۚ بَلۡ كَانُوا۟ لَا یَفۡقَهُونَ إِلَّا قَلِیلࣰا ۝١٥

When you set forth to take them to the spoils (of war), those who stayed behind will say: “Allow us to follow you.” They want to change Allah’s Words. Say: “You shall not follow us. Allah has said this before.” They will say: “Nay, you envy us.” But they don’t understand except a little.

sayaqūlu l-mukhalafūna idhā inṭalaqtum ilā maghānima litakhudhūhā dharūnā nattabiʿ'kum yurīdūna an yubaddilū kalāma l-lahi qul lan tattabiʿūnā kadhālikum qāla l-lahu min qablu fasayaqūlūna bal taḥsudūnanā bal kānū lā yafqahūna illā qalīla

قُل لِّلۡمُخَلَّفِینَ مِنَ ٱلۡأَعۡرَابِ سَتُدۡعَوۡنَ إِلَىٰ قَوۡمٍ أُو۟لِی بَأۡسࣲ شَدِیدࣲ تُقَـٰتِلُونَهُمۡ أَوۡ یُسۡلِمُونَۖ فَإِن تُطِیعُوا۟ یُؤۡتِكُمُ ٱللَّهُ أَجۡرًا حَسَنࣰاۖ وَإِن تَتَوَلَّوۡا۟ كَمَا تَوَلَّیۡتُم مِّن قَبۡلُ یُعَذِّبۡكُمۡ عَذَابًا أَلِیمࣰا ۝١٦

Say (O Muhammad) to the Bedouins who stayed behind: “You shall be called to fight against a people with great warfare, then either you will fight them or they shall surrender. Then if you obey, Allah will give you a good reward, but if you turn away as you did turn away before, He will punish you with a painful punishment.”

qul lil'mukhallafīna mina l-aʿrābi satud'ʿawna ilā qawmin ulī basin shadīdin tuqātilūnahum aw yus'limūna fa-in tuṭīʿū yu'tikumu l-lahu ajran ḥasanan wa-in tatawallaw kamā tawallaytum min qablu yuʿadhib'kum ʿadhāban alīma

لَّیۡسَ عَلَى ٱلۡأَعۡمَىٰ حَرَجࣱ وَلَا عَلَى ٱلۡأَعۡرَجِ حَرَجࣱ وَلَا عَلَى ٱلۡمَرِیضِ حَرَجࣱۗ وَمَن یُطِعِ ٱللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥ یُدۡخِلۡهُ جَنَّـٰتࣲ تَجۡرِی مِن تَحۡتِهَا ٱلۡأَنۡهَـٰرُۖ وَمَن یَتَوَلَّ یُعَذِّبۡهُ عَذَابًا أَلِیمࣰا ۝١٧

There is no blame or sin on the blind, nor there is blame or sin on the lame, nor there is blame or sin on the sick (excused not to go to war). Whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger (Muhammad), He will admit to gardens beneath which rivers flow (Paradise); and whoever turns back, He will punish with a painful punishment.

laysa ʿalā l-aʿmā ḥarajun walā ʿalā l-aʿraji ḥarajun walā ʿalā l-marīḍi ḥarajun waman yuṭiʿi l-laha warasūlahu yud'khil'hu jannātin tajrī min taḥtihā l-anhāru waman yatawalla yuʿadhib'hu ʿadhāban alīma

3 More Victories for Islam

۞ لَّقَدۡ رَضِیَ ٱللَّهُ عَنِ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِینَ إِذۡ یُبَایِعُونَكَ تَحۡتَ ٱلشَّجَرَةِ فَعَلِمَ مَا فِی قُلُوبِهِمۡ فَأَنزَلَ ٱلسَّكِینَةَ عَلَیۡهِمۡ وَأَثَـٰبَهُمۡ فَتۡحࣰا قَرِیبࣰا ۝١٨

Indeed, Allah was pleased with the believers when they gave the allegiance to you (O Muhammad) under the tree. He knew what was in their hearts, He sent down the tranquility upon them, and He rewarded them with a near victory

laqad raḍiya l-lahu ʿani l-mu'minīna idh yubāyiʿūnaka taḥta l-shajarati faʿalima mā fī qulūbihim fa-anzala l-sakīnata ʿalayhim wa-athābahum fatḥan qarība

وَمَغَانِمَ كَثِیرَةࣰ یَأۡخُذُونَهَاۗ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ عَزِیزًا حَكِیمࣰا ۝١٩

and abundant spoils which they will capture. And Allah is All-Mighty, All-Wise.

wamaghānima kathīratan yakhudhūnahā wakāna l-lahu ʿazīzan ḥakīma

وَعَدَكُمُ ٱللَّهُ مَغَانِمَ كَثِیرَةࣰ تَأۡخُذُونَهَا فَعَجَّلَ لَكُمۡ هَـٰذِهِۦ وَكَفَّ أَیۡدِیَ ٱلنَّاسِ عَنكُمۡ وَلِتَكُونَ ءَایَةࣰ لِّلۡمُؤۡمِنِینَ وَیَهۡدِیَكُمۡ صِرَ ٰطࣰا مُّسۡتَقِیمࣰا ۝٢٠

Allah has Promised you abundant spoils which you will capture, and He has hastened these (spoils of Khaibar) for you. He has restrained the hands of people (enemy) from you so that it may be a sign for the believers and that He may guide you to the Right Way.

waʿadakumu l-lahu maghānima kathīratan takhudhūnahā faʿajjala lakum hādhihi wakaffa aydiya l-nāsi ʿankum walitakūna āyatan lil'mu'minīna wayahdiyakum ṣirāṭan mus'taqīma

وَأُخۡرَىٰ لَمۡ تَقۡدِرُوا۟ عَلَیۡهَا قَدۡ أَحَاطَ ٱللَّهُ بِهَاۚ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَیۡءࣲ قَدِیرࣰا ۝٢١

And others (victories and booty Promised) which are not yet within your power over it, indeed Allah has compassed them. And Allah has power over all things.

wa-ukh'rā lam taqdirū ʿalayhā qad aḥāṭa l-lahu bihā wakāna l-lahu ʿalā kulli shayin qadīra

وَلَوۡ قَـٰتَلَكُمُ ٱلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوا۟ لَوَلَّوُا۟ ٱلۡأَدۡبَـٰرَ ثُمَّ لَا یَجِدُونَ وَلِیࣰّا وَلَا نَصِیرࣰا ۝٢٢

If those who disbelieve fight against you, they would have turned their backs, and then they would have found neither a protector nor a helper.

walaw qātalakumu alladhīna kafarū lawallawū l-adbāra thumma lā yajidūna waliyyan walā naṣīra

سُنَّةَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلَّتِی قَدۡ خَلَتۡ مِن قَبۡلُۖ وَلَن تَجِدَ لِسُنَّةِ ٱللَّهِ تَبۡدِیلࣰا ۝٢٣

That has been the Way of Allah which already passed away before. You will never find any change in the Way of Allah.

sunnata l-lahi allatī qad khalat min qablu walan tajida lisunnati l-lahi tabdīla

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِی كَفَّ أَیۡدِیَهُمۡ عَنكُمۡ وَأَیۡدِیَكُمۡ عَنۡهُم بِبَطۡنِ مَكَّةَ مِنۢ بَعۡدِ أَنۡ أَظۡفَرَكُمۡ عَلَیۡهِمۡۚ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ بَصِیرًا ۝٢٤

And it is He Who has restrained their hands from you and your hands from them in the midst of Makkah (through the peace treaty of Hudaibiyah), after that He had made you victors over them. And Allah is the All-Seer of what you do.

wahuwa alladhī kaffa aydiyahum ʿankum wa-aydiyakum ʿanhum bibaṭni makkata min baʿdi an aẓfarakum ʿalayhim wakāna l-lahu bimā taʿmalūna baṣīra

هُمُ ٱلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوا۟ وَصَدُّوكُمۡ عَنِ ٱلۡمَسۡجِدِ ٱلۡحَرَامِ وَٱلۡهَدۡیَ مَعۡكُوفًا أَن یَبۡلُغَ مَحِلَّهُۥۚ وَلَوۡلَا رِجَالࣱ مُّؤۡمِنُونَ وَنِسَاۤءࣱ مُّؤۡمِنَـٰتࣱ لَّمۡ تَعۡلَمُوهُمۡ أَن تَطَءُوهُمۡ فَتُصِیبَكُم مِّنۡهُم مَّعَرَّةُۢ بِغَیۡرِ عِلۡمࣲۖ لِّیُدۡخِلَ ٱللَّهُ فِی رَحۡمَتِهِۦ مَن یَشَاۤءُۚ لَوۡ تَزَیَّلُوا۟ لَعَذَّبۡنَا ٱلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِنۡهُمۡ عَذَابًا أَلِیمًا ۝٢٥

They are the ones who disbelieved and obstructed you from the sacred Masjid (of Makkah) and detained the sacrificed animals from reaching their place of sacrifice. Had there not been believing men and believing women (in Makkah) whom you did not know, and you may trample (heavily burst) them under your feet and thus incurring a sin committed by you without your knowledge (but Allah held back your hands), so that Allah may admit to His Mercy whom He wills. If they (believers and disbelievers) should have been apart, We would have punished those of them who disbelieved with painful punishment.

humu alladhīna kafarū waṣaddūkum ʿani l-masjidi l-ḥarāmi wal-hadya maʿkūfan an yablugha maḥillahu walawlā rijālun mu'minūna wanisāon mu'minātun lam taʿlamūhum an taṭaūhum fatuṣībakum min'hum maʿarratun bighayri ʿil'min liyud'khila l-lahu fī raḥmatihi man yashāu law tazayyalū laʿadhabnā alladhīna kafarū min'hum ʿadhāban alīma

إِذۡ جَعَلَ ٱلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوا۟ فِی قُلُوبِهِمُ ٱلۡحَمِیَّةَ حَمِیَّةَ ٱلۡجَـٰهِلِیَّةِ فَأَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ سَكِینَتَهُۥ عَلَىٰ رَسُولِهِۦ وَعَلَى ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِینَ وَأَلۡزَمَهُمۡ كَلِمَةَ ٱلتَّقۡوَىٰ وَكَانُوۤا۟ أَحَقَّ بِهَا وَأَهۡلَهَاۚ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَیۡءٍ عَلِیمࣰا ۝٢٦

When those who disbelieve had put in their hearts pride and arrogance, the pride and arrogance of the time of ignorance, then Allah sent down His Tranquility upon His Messenger and upon the believers, and made them stick to the word of piety, and they were well entitled to it and worthy of it. And Allah is the All-Knower of everything.

idh jaʿala alladhīna kafarū fī qulūbihimu l-ḥamiyata ḥamiyyata l-jāhiliyati fa-anzala l-lahu sakīnatahu ʿalā rasūlihi waʿalā l-mu'minīna wa-alzamahum kalimata l-taqwā wakānū aḥaqqa bihā wa-ahlahā wakāna l-lahu bikulli shayin ʿalīma

4 Ultimate Triumph of Islam

لَّقَدۡ صَدَقَ ٱللَّهُ رَسُولَهُ ٱلرُّءۡیَا بِٱلۡحَقِّۖ لَتَدۡخُلُنَّ ٱلۡمَسۡجِدَ ٱلۡحَرَامَ إِن شَاۤءَ ٱللَّهُ ءَامِنِینَ مُحَلِّقِینَ رُءُوسَكُمۡ وَمُقَصِّرِینَ لَا تَخَافُونَۖ فَعَلِمَ مَا لَمۡ تَعۡلَمُوا۟ فَجَعَلَ مِن دُونِ ذَ ٰلِكَ فَتۡحࣰا قَرِیبًا ۝٢٧

Indeed Allah will fulfill His Messenger’s true vision (which Allah showed him) in all truth. Certainly, you shall enter the sacred Masjid; if Allah wills, secure (to perform Umrah) having your heads shaved, and having your head hair cut short, having no fear. He knows what you don’t know, and besides He granted a near victory.

laqad ṣadaqa l-lahu rasūlahu l-ru'yā bil-ḥaqi latadkhulunna l-masjida l-ḥarāma in shāa l-lahu āminīna muḥalliqīna ruūsakum wamuqaṣṣirīna lā takhāfūna faʿalima mā lam taʿlamū fajaʿala min dūni dhālika fatḥan qarība

هُوَ ٱلَّذِیۤ أَرۡسَلَ رَسُولَهُۥ بِٱلۡهُدَىٰ وَدِینِ ٱلۡحَقِّ لِیُظۡهِرَهُۥ عَلَى ٱلدِّینِ كُلِّهِۦۚ وَكَفَىٰ بِٱللَّهِ شَهِیدࣰا ۝٢٨

It is He Who has sent His Messenger (Muhammad) with guidance and the religion of truth (Islam), so that He may make it (Islam) superior over all other religions. And Allah is All-Sufficient as a Witness.

huwa alladhī arsala rasūlahu bil-hudā wadīni l-ḥaqi liyuẓ'hirahu ʿalā l-dīni kullihi wakafā bil-lahi shahīda

مُّحَمَّدࣱ رَّسُولُ ٱللَّهِۚ وَٱلَّذِینَ مَعَهُۥۤ أَشِدَّاۤءُ عَلَى ٱلۡكُفَّارِ رُحَمَاۤءُ بَیۡنَهُمۡۖ تَرَىٰهُمۡ رُكَّعࣰا سُجَّدࣰا یَبۡتَغُونَ فَضۡلࣰا مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَرِضۡوَ ٰنࣰاۖ سِیمَاهُمۡ فِی وُجُوهِهِم مِّنۡ أَثَرِ ٱلسُّجُودِۚ ذَ ٰلِكَ مَثَلُهُمۡ فِی ٱلتَّوۡرَىٰةِۚ وَمَثَلُهُمۡ فِی ٱلۡإِنجِیلِ كَزَرۡعٍ أَخۡرَجَ شَطۡءَهُۥ فَءَازَرَهُۥ فَٱسۡتَغۡلَظَ فَٱسۡتَوَىٰ عَلَىٰ سُوقِهِۦ یُعۡجِبُ ٱلزُّرَّاعَ لِیَغِیظَ بِهِمُ ٱلۡكُفَّارَۗ وَعَدَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ مِنۡهُم مَّغۡفِرَةࣰ وَأَجۡرًا عَظِیمَۢا ۝٢٩

Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, and those who are with him are strong against disbelievers, and merciful among themselves. You see them bowing and falling down prostrate (in prayer), seeking Bounty from Allah and (His) good pleasure. The mark of them (their faith) is on their faces (foreheads) from the traces of prostration. This is their description in the Torah. Their description in the Gospel is like a seed which sends forth its shoot, then makes it strong, it then becomes thick, and it stands right on its stem delighting the sowers (of the seed) so that He may make the disbelievers angry with them. Those among them who believe and do righteous deeds, Allah has Promised forgiveness and a great reward.

muḥammadun rasūlu l-lahi wa-alladhīna maʿahu ashiddāu ʿalā l-kufāri ruḥamāu baynahum tarāhum rukkaʿan sujjadan yabtaghūna faḍlan mina l-lahi wariḍ'wānan sīmāhum fī wujūhihim min athari l-sujūdi dhālika mathaluhum fī l-tawrāti wamathaluhum fī l-injīli kazarʿin akhraja shaṭahu faāzarahu fa-is'taghlaẓa fa-is'tawā ʿalā sūqihi yuʿ'jibu l-zurāʿa liyaghīẓa bihimu l-kufāra waʿada l-lahu alladhīna āmanū waʿamilū l-ṣāliḥāti min'hum maghfiratan wa-ajran ʿaẓīma
