1 Establishment of God's Kingdom

سَبَّحَ لِلَّهِ مَا فِی ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۖ وَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِیزُ ٱلۡحَكِیمُ ۝١

M. Farook Malik

All that is in the heavens and the earth glorifies Allah, and He is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise

sabbaḥa lillahi mā fī l-samāwāti wal-arḍi wahuwa l-ʿazīzu l-ḥakīm

لَهُۥ مُلۡكُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۖ یُحۡیِۦ وَیُمِیتُۖ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَیۡءࣲ قَدِیرٌ ۝٢

M. Farook Malik

To Him belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth; it is He Who gives life and causes death; and He has power over all things

lahu mul'ku l-samāwāti wal-arḍi yuḥ'yī wayumītu wahuwa ʿalā kulli shayin qadīru

هُوَ ٱلۡأَوَّلُ وَٱلۡءَاخِرُ وَٱلظَّـٰهِرُ وَٱلۡبَاطِنُۖ وَهُوَ بِكُلِّ شَیۡءٍ عَلِیمٌ ۝٣

M. Farook Malik

He is the First and the Last, the Evident and the Immanent, and He has the knowledge of all things

huwa l-awalu wal-ākhiru wal-ẓāhiru wal-bāṭinu wahuwa bikulli shayin ʿalīmu

هُوَ ٱلَّذِی خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ فِی سِتَّةِ أَیَّامࣲ ثُمَّ ٱسۡتَوَىٰ عَلَى ٱلۡعَرۡشِۖ یَعۡلَمُ مَا یَلِجُ فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَمَا یَخۡرُجُ مِنۡهَا وَمَا یَنزِلُ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَاۤءِ وَمَا یَعۡرُجُ فِیهَاۖ وَهُوَ مَعَكُمۡ أَیۡنَ مَا كُنتُمۡۚ وَٱللَّهُ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ بَصِیرࣱ ۝٤

M. Farook Malik

It is He Who created the heavens and the earth in six periods, then firmly established Himself on the throne of authority. He knows all that enters the earth and all that emerges from it, all that comes down from Heaven and all that ascends to it; and He is with you wherever you are. Allah is aware of all your actions

huwa alladhī khalaqa l-samāwāti wal-arḍa fī sittati ayyāmin thumma is'tawā ʿalā l-ʿarshi yaʿlamu mā yaliju fī l-arḍi wamā yakhruju min'hā wamā yanzilu mina l-samāi wamā yaʿruju fīhā wahuwa maʿakum ayna mā kuntum wal-lahu bimā taʿmalūna baṣīru

لَّهُۥ مُلۡكُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ وَإِلَى ٱللَّهِ تُرۡجَعُ ٱلۡأُمُورُ ۝٥

M. Farook Malik

To Him belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and all affairs go back to Allah for decision

lahu mul'ku l-samāwāti wal-arḍi wa-ilā l-lahi tur'jaʿu l-umūr

یُولِجُ ٱلَّیۡلَ فِی ٱلنَّهَارِ وَیُولِجُ ٱلنَّهَارَ فِی ٱلَّیۡلِۚ وَهُوَ عَلِیمُۢ بِذَاتِ ٱلصُّدُورِ ۝٦

M. Farook Malik

He causes the night to pass into the day and the day to pass into the night, and He has knowledge of the inmost secrets of your hearts

yūliju al-layla fī l-nahāri wayūliju l-nahāra fī al-layli wahuwa ʿalīmun bidhāti l-ṣudūr

ءَامِنُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِۦ وَأَنفِقُوا۟ مِمَّا جَعَلَكُم مُّسۡتَخۡلَفِینَ فِیهِۖ فَٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ مِنكُمۡ وَأَنفَقُوا۟ لَهُمۡ أَجۡرࣱ كَبِیرࣱ ۝٧

M. Farook Malik

Believe in Allah and His Messenger and spend in charity out of what you have been made the inheritors of, for those of you who believe and spend in charity shall be richly rewarded

āminū bil-lahi warasūlihi wa-anfiqū mimmā jaʿalakum mus'takhlafīna fīhi fa-alladhīna āmanū minkum wa-anfaqū lahum ajrun kabīru

وَمَا لَكُمۡ لَا تُؤۡمِنُونَ بِٱللَّهِ وَٱلرَّسُولُ یَدۡعُوكُمۡ لِتُؤۡمِنُوا۟ بِرَبِّكُمۡ وَقَدۡ أَخَذَ مِیثَـٰقَكُمۡ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤۡمِنِینَ ۝٨

M. Farook Malik

What is the matter with you that you do not believe in Allah, whereas the Messenger is inviting you to believe in your Lord, Who has indeed taken your covenant, if you are true men of faith

wamā lakum lā tu'minūna bil-lahi wal-rasūlu yadʿūkum litu'minū birabbikum waqad akhadha mīthāqakum in kuntum mu'minīn

هُوَ ٱلَّذِی یُنَزِّلُ عَلَىٰ عَبۡدِهِۦۤ ءَایَـٰتِۭ بَیِّنَـٰتࣲ لِّیُخۡرِجَكُم مِّنَ ٱلظُّلُمَـٰتِ إِلَى ٱلنُّورِۚ وَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ بِكُمۡ لَرَءُوفࣱ رَّحِیمࣱ ۝٩

M. Farook Malik

He it is Who sends clear revelations to His servant, so that he may lead you from the depths of darkness into the light. Surely Allah is Most Kind and Most Merciful to you

huwa alladhī yunazzilu ʿalā ʿabdihi āyātin bayyinātin liyukh'rijakum mina l-ẓulumāti ilā l-nūri wa-inna l-laha bikum laraūfun raḥīmu

وَمَا لَكُمۡ أَلَّا تُنفِقُوا۟ فِی سَبِیلِ ٱللَّهِ وَلِلَّهِ مِیرَ ٰثُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ لَا یَسۡتَوِی مِنكُم مَّنۡ أَنفَقَ مِن قَبۡلِ ٱلۡفَتۡحِ وَقَـٰتَلَۚ أُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ أَعۡظَمُ دَرَجَةࣰ مِّنَ ٱلَّذِینَ أَنفَقُوا۟ مِنۢ بَعۡدُ وَقَـٰتَلُوا۟ۚ وَكُلࣰّا وَعَدَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلۡحُسۡنَىٰۚ وَٱللَّهُ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ خَبِیرࣱ ۝١٠

M. Farook Malik

What is the matter with you that you do not spend in the Way of Allah, whereas to Allah belongs the inheritance of the heavens and the earth? Those of you who spent and fought in the Cause of Allah before the victory, shall receive higher ranks of honor than the others who spent and fought thereafter. Yet Allah has promised you all a good reward, and Allah is aware of all your actions

wamā lakum allā tunfiqū fī sabīli l-lahi walillahi mīrāthu l-samāwāti wal-arḍi lā yastawī minkum man anfaqa min qabli l-fatḥi waqātala ulāika aʿẓamu darajatan mina alladhīna anfaqū min baʿdu waqātalū wakullan waʿada l-lahu l-ḥus'nā wal-lahu bimā taʿmalūna khabīru

2 Light and Life given by Prophet

مَّن ذَا ٱلَّذِی یُقۡرِضُ ٱللَّهَ قَرۡضًا حَسَنࣰا فَیُضَـٰعِفَهُۥ لَهُۥ وَلَهُۥۤ أَجۡرࣱ كَرِیمࣱ ۝١١

M. Farook Malik

Who is the one that will give to Allah a goodly loan, so that He may increase it manyfold to his credit and give him a liberal reward besides it

man dhā alladhī yuq'riḍu l-laha qarḍan ḥasanan fayuḍāʿifahu lahu walahu ajrun karīmu

یَوۡمَ تَرَى ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِینَ وَٱلۡمُؤۡمِنَـٰتِ یَسۡعَىٰ نُورُهُم بَیۡنَ أَیۡدِیهِمۡ وَبِأَیۡمَـٰنِهِمۖ بُشۡرَىٰكُمُ ٱلۡیَوۡمَ جَنَّـٰتࣱ تَجۡرِی مِن تَحۡتِهَا ٱلۡأَنۡهَـٰرُ خَـٰلِدِینَ فِیهَاۚ ذَ ٰلِكَ هُوَ ٱلۡفَوۡزُ ٱلۡعَظِیمُ ۝١٢

M. Farook Malik

On the Day of Judgment you shall see the true believing men and the believing women, with their light shining before them and on their right hands, and it will be said to them: "Rejoice today, you shall enter the gardens beneath which rivers flow, in which you shall live forever, and that is the highest achievement."

yawma tarā l-mu'minīna wal-mu'mināti yasʿā nūruhum bayna aydīhim wabi-aymānihim bush'rākumu l-yawma jannātun tajrī min taḥtihā l-anhāru khālidīna fīhā dhālika huwa l-fawzu l-ʿaẓīm

یَوۡمَ یَقُولُ ٱلۡمُنَـٰفِقُونَ وَٱلۡمُنَـٰفِقَـٰتُ لِلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱنظُرُونَا نَقۡتَبِسۡ مِن نُّورِكُمۡ قِیلَ ٱرۡجِعُوا۟ وَرَاۤءَكُمۡ فَٱلۡتَمِسُوا۟ نُورࣰاۖ فَضُرِبَ بَیۡنَهُم بِسُورࣲ لَّهُۥ بَابُۢ بَاطِنُهُۥ فِیهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَةُ وَظَـٰهِرُهُۥ مِن قِبَلِهِ ٱلۡعَذَابُ ۝١٣

M. Farook Malik

On that Day the hypocrite men and hypocrite women will say to the true believers: "Wait for us, that we may borrow some of your light." But they will be told: "Go away! Seek your light elsewhere." So a wall with a gate shall be set up between them. Inside there shall be mercy, and outside all along there shall be punishment of hell

yawma yaqūlu l-munāfiqūna wal-munāfiqātu lilladhīna āmanū unẓurūnā naqtabis min nūrikum qīla ir'jiʿū warāakum fal-tamisū nūran faḍuriba baynahum bisūrin lahu bābun bāṭinuhu fīhi l-raḥmatu waẓāhiruhu min qibalihi l-ʿadhāb

یُنَادُونَهُمۡ أَلَمۡ نَكُن مَّعَكُمۡۖ قَالُوا۟ بَلَىٰ وَلَـٰكِنَّكُمۡ فَتَنتُمۡ أَنفُسَكُمۡ وَتَرَبَّصۡتُمۡ وَٱرۡتَبۡتُمۡ وَغَرَّتۡكُمُ ٱلۡأَمَانِیُّ حَتَّىٰ جَاۤءَ أَمۡرُ ٱللَّهِ وَغَرَّكُم بِٱللَّهِ ٱلۡغَرُورُ ۝١٤

M. Farook Malik

They will call out to the believers, saying: "Were we not on your side?" "Yes," they will reply, "but you led yourselves into temptation, you wavered, you doubted, and were deceived by your vain desires until Allah’s command came, while the arch-deceiver (Satan) deceived you concerning Allah till the last moment."

yunādūnahum alam nakun maʿakum qālū balā walākinnakum fatantum anfusakum watarabbaṣtum wa-ir'tabtum wagharratkumu l-amāniyu ḥattā jāa amru l-lahi wagharrakum bil-lahi l-gharūr

فَٱلۡیَوۡمَ لَا یُؤۡخَذُ مِنكُمۡ فِدۡیَةࣱ وَلَا مِنَ ٱلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوا۟ۚ مَأۡوَىٰكُمُ ٱلنَّارُۖ هِیَ مَوۡلَىٰكُمۡۖ وَبِئۡسَ ٱلۡمَصِیرُ ۝١٥

M. Farook Malik

They will be told, "Today no ransom shall be accepted from you, or from the unbelievers. Your abode is the fire: which you have justly earned, and it is an evil refuge."

fal-yawma lā yu'khadhu minkum fid'yatun walā mina alladhīna kafarū mawākumu l-nāru hiya mawlākum wabi'sa l-maṣīr

۞ أَلَمۡ یَأۡنِ لِلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوۤا۟ أَن تَخۡشَعَ قُلُوبُهُمۡ لِذِكۡرِ ٱللَّهِ وَمَا نَزَلَ مِنَ ٱلۡحَقِّ وَلَا یَكُونُوا۟ كَٱلَّذِینَ أُوتُوا۟ ٱلۡكِتَـٰبَ مِن قَبۡلُ فَطَالَ عَلَیۡهِمُ ٱلۡأَمَدُ فَقَسَتۡ قُلُوبُهُمۡۖ وَكَثِیرࣱ مِّنۡهُمۡ فَـٰسِقُونَ ۝١٦

M. Farook Malik

Has not the time arrived for the believers to submit with fervent hearts to Allah’s warning and to the truth He has revealed, so that they may not become like those who were given the Book before this, even though their term was prolonged for them but their hearts became hardened? Today most among them are transgressors

alam yani lilladhīna āmanū an takhshaʿa qulūbuhum lidhik'ri l-lahi wamā nazala mina l-ḥaqi walā yakūnū ka-alladhīna ūtū l-kitāba min qablu faṭāla ʿalayhimu l-amadu faqasat qulūbuhum wakathīrun min'hum fāsiqūn

ٱعۡلَمُوۤا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ یُحۡیِ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ بَعۡدَ مَوۡتِهَاۚ قَدۡ بَیَّنَّا لَكُمُ ٱلۡءَایَـٰتِ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَعۡقِلُونَ ۝١٧

M. Farook Malik

You should know that Allah restores the earth to life after its death. We have spelled out Our revelations for you, so that you may understand

iʿ'lamū anna l-laha yuḥ'yī l-arḍa baʿda mawtihā qad bayyannā lakumu l-āyāti laʿallakum taʿqilūn

إِنَّ ٱلۡمُصَّدِّقِینَ وَٱلۡمُصَّدِّقَـٰتِ وَأَقۡرَضُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ قَرۡضًا حَسَنࣰا یُضَـٰعَفُ لَهُمۡ وَلَهُمۡ أَجۡرࣱ كَرِیمࣱ ۝١٨

M. Farook Malik

Surely the charitable men and the charitable women, and those who give a goodly loan to Allah, shall be repaid manyfold, and also be given a liberal reward besides it

inna l-muṣadiqīna wal-muṣadiqāti wa-aqraḍū l-laha qarḍan ḥasanan yuḍāʿafu lahum walahum ajrun karīmu

وَٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ وَرُسُلِهِۦۤ أُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ هُمُ ٱلصِّدِّیقُونَۖ وَٱلشُّهَدَاۤءُ عِندَ رَبِّهِمۡ لَهُمۡ أَجۡرُهُمۡ وَنُورُهُمۡۖ وَٱلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوا۟ وَكَذَّبُوا۟ بِءَایَـٰتِنَاۤ أُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ أَصۡحَـٰبُ ٱلۡجَحِیمِ ۝١٩

M. Farook Malik

Those who believe in Allah and His Messenger, they are the truthful and the true witnesses in the sight of their Lord; they shall have their reward and their light. But those who disbelieve and reject Our revelations; they shall be the inmates of hellfire

wa-alladhīna āmanū bil-lahi warusulihi ulāika humu l-ṣidīqūna wal-shuhadāu ʿinda rabbihim lahum ajruhum wanūruhum wa-alladhīna kafarū wakadhabū biāyātinā ulāika aṣḥābu l-jaḥīm

3 Truth shall be established

ٱعۡلَمُوۤا۟ أَنَّمَا ٱلۡحَیَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنۡیَا لَعِبࣱ وَلَهۡوࣱ وَزِینَةࣱ وَتَفَاخُرُۢ بَیۡنَكُمۡ وَتَكَاثُرࣱ فِی ٱلۡأَمۡوَ ٰلِ وَٱلۡأَوۡلَـٰدِۖ كَمَثَلِ غَیۡثٍ أَعۡجَبَ ٱلۡكُفَّارَ نَبَاتُهُۥ ثُمَّ یَهِیجُ فَتَرَىٰهُ مُصۡفَرࣰّا ثُمَّ یَكُونُ حُطَـٰمࣰاۖ وَفِی ٱلۡءَاخِرَةِ عَذَابࣱ شَدِیدࣱ وَمَغۡفِرَةࣱ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَرِضۡوَ ٰنࣱۚ وَمَا ٱلۡحَیَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنۡیَاۤ إِلَّا مَتَـٰعُ ٱلۡغُرُورِ ۝٢٠

M. Farook Malik

You should know that the life of this world is only play and amusement, a show and boasting among yourselves, a quest for greater riches and more children. Its similitude is that of vegetation that flourish after rain: the growth of which delights the tillers, then it withers and you see it turn yellow, soon it becomes dry and crumbles away. In the hereafter there will be either severe punishment or forgiveness from Allah and His good pleasure. The life of this world is nothing but an illusion

iʿ'lamū annamā l-ḥayatu l-dun'yā laʿibun walahwun wazīnatun watafākhurun baynakum watakāthurun fī l-amwāli wal-awlādi kamathali ghaythin aʿjaba l-kufāra nabātuhu thumma yahīju fatarāhu muṣ'farran thumma yakūnu ḥuṭāman wafī l-ākhirati ʿadhābun shadīdun wamaghfiratun mina l-lahi wariḍ'wānun wamā l-ḥayatu l-dun'yā illā matāʿu l-ghurūr

سَابِقُوۤا۟ إِلَىٰ مَغۡفِرَةࣲ مِّن رَّبِّكُمۡ وَجَنَّةٍ عَرۡضُهَا كَعَرۡضِ ٱلسَّمَاۤءِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ أُعِدَّتۡ لِلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ وَرُسُلِهِۦۚ ذَ ٰلِكَ فَضۡلُ ٱللَّهِ یُؤۡتِیهِ مَن یَشَاۤءُۚ وَٱللَّهُ ذُو ٱلۡفَضۡلِ ٱلۡعَظِیمِ ۝٢١

M. Farook Malik

Therefore, earnestly strive for the forgiveness of your Lord and for the paradise which is as vast as the heaven and the earth, prepared for those who believe in Allah and His Messengers. Such is the grace of Allah, which He bestows on whom He pleases, and Allah is the Owner of mighty grace

sābiqū ilā maghfiratin min rabbikum wajannatin ʿarḍuhā kaʿarḍi l-samāi wal-arḍi uʿiddat lilladhīna āmanū bil-lahi warusulihi dhālika faḍlu l-lahi yu'tīhi man yashāu wal-lahu dhū l-faḍli l-ʿaẓīm

مَاۤ أَصَابَ مِن مُّصِیبَةࣲ فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَلَا فِیۤ أَنفُسِكُمۡ إِلَّا فِی كِتَـٰبࣲ مِّن قَبۡلِ أَن نَّبۡرَأَهَاۤۚ إِنَّ ذَ ٰلِكَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ یَسِیرࣱ ۝٢٢

M. Farook Malik

No affliction can happen on earth nor to your souls, which is not recorded in a Book, before We bring it into existence; surely that is easy for Allah

mā aṣāba min muṣībatin fī l-arḍi walā fī anfusikum illā fī kitābin min qabli an nabra-ahā inna dhālika ʿalā l-lahi yasīru

لِّكَیۡلَا تَأۡسَوۡا۟ عَلَىٰ مَا فَاتَكُمۡ وَلَا تَفۡرَحُوا۟ بِمَاۤ ءَاتَىٰكُمۡۗ وَٱللَّهُ لَا یُحِبُّ كُلَّ مُخۡتَالࣲ فَخُورٍ ۝٢٣

M. Farook Malik

This is done so that you may not grieve for the things that you miss, or be overjoyed at what you gain; for Allah does not love any vainglorious boaster

likaylā tasaw ʿalā mā fātakum walā tafraḥū bimā ātākum wal-lahu lā yuḥibbu kulla mukh'tālin fakhūri

ٱلَّذِینَ یَبۡخَلُونَ وَیَأۡمُرُونَ ٱلنَّاسَ بِٱلۡبُخۡلِۗ وَمَن یَتَوَلَّ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلۡغَنِیُّ ٱلۡحَمِیدُ ۝٢٤

M. Farook Malik

nor those who, being stingy themselves, enjoin others to be stingy also. He that gives no heed should know that Allah is free of all needs, worthy of all praises

alladhīna yabkhalūna wayamurūna l-nāsa bil-bukh'li waman yatawalla fa-inna l-laha huwa l-ghaniyu l-ḥamīd

لَقَدۡ أَرۡسَلۡنَا رُسُلَنَا بِٱلۡبَیِّنَـٰتِ وَأَنزَلۡنَا مَعَهُمُ ٱلۡكِتَـٰبَ وَٱلۡمِیزَانَ لِیَقُومَ ٱلنَّاسُ بِٱلۡقِسۡطِۖ وَأَنزَلۡنَا ٱلۡحَدِیدَ فِیهِ بَأۡسࣱ شَدِیدࣱ وَمَنَـٰفِعُ لِلنَّاسِ وَلِیَعۡلَمَ ٱللَّهُ مَن یَنصُرُهُۥ وَرُسُلَهُۥ بِٱلۡغَیۡبِۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ قَوِیٌّ عَزِیزࣱ ۝٢٥

M. Farook Malik

Surely We sent Our Messengers with clear signs, and sent down with them the Book and the Scales of Justice, so that men may conduct themselves with fairness. We also sent down Iron, with its mighty strength and diverse uses for mankind, so that Allah may know those who will help Him, though unseen, and help His Messengers. Surely Allah is All-Powerful, All-Mighty

laqad arsalnā rusulanā bil-bayināti wa-anzalnā maʿahumu l-kitāba wal-mīzāna liyaqūma l-nāsu bil-qis'ṭi wa-anzalnā l-ḥadīda fīhi basun shadīdun wamanāfiʿu lilnnāsi waliyaʿlama l-lahu man yanṣuruhu warusulahu bil-ghaybi inna l-laha qawiyyun ʿazīzu

4 Double Reward for Believers

وَلَقَدۡ أَرۡسَلۡنَا نُوحࣰا وَإِبۡرَ ٰهِیمَ وَجَعَلۡنَا فِی ذُرِّیَّتِهِمَا ٱلنُّبُوَّةَ وَٱلۡكِتَـٰبَۖ فَمِنۡهُم مُّهۡتَدࣲۖ وَكَثِیرࣱ مِّنۡهُمۡ فَـٰسِقُونَ ۝٢٦

M. Farook Malik

We sent Noah and Abraham, and bestowed among their descendants Prophethood and the Book. Some of them adopted the right guidance, but most of them were transgressors

walaqad arsalnā nūḥan wa-ib'rāhīma wajaʿalnā fī dhurriyyatihimā l-nubuwata wal-kitāba famin'hum muh'tadin wakathīrun min'hum fāsiqūn

ثُمَّ قَفَّیۡنَا عَلَىٰۤ ءَاثَـٰرِهِم بِرُسُلِنَا وَقَفَّیۡنَا بِعِیسَى ٱبۡنِ مَرۡیَمَ وَءَاتَیۡنَـٰهُ ٱلۡإِنجِیلَۖ وَجَعَلۡنَا فِی قُلُوبِ ٱلَّذِینَ ٱتَّبَعُوهُ رَأۡفَةࣰ وَرَحۡمَةࣰۚ وَرَهۡبَانِیَّةً ٱبۡتَدَعُوهَا مَا كَتَبۡنَـٰهَا عَلَیۡهِمۡ إِلَّا ٱبۡتِغَاۤءَ رِضۡوَ ٰنِ ٱللَّهِ فَمَا رَعَوۡهَا حَقَّ رِعَایَتِهَاۖ فَءَاتَیۡنَا ٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ مِنۡهُمۡ أَجۡرَهُمۡۖ وَكَثِیرࣱ مِّنۡهُمۡ فَـٰسِقُونَ ۝٢٧

M. Farook Malik

After them We sent other Messengers, one after the other, and followed them with Jesus the son of Mary. We gave him The Gospel, and put compassion and mercy into the hearts of his followers. As for monasticism, they instituted it themselves - for We did not enjoin it on them - in order to seek the good pleasure of Allah, but they did not observe it as it should have been observed. Yet We rewarded those among them who were true believers, but most of them are transgressors

thumma qaffaynā ʿalā āthārihim birusulinā waqaffaynā biʿīsā ib'ni maryama waātaynāhu l-injīla wajaʿalnā fī qulūbi alladhīna ittabaʿūhu rafatan waraḥmatan warahbāniyyatan ib'tadaʿūhā mā katabnāhā ʿalayhim illā ib'tighāa riḍ'wāni l-lahi famā raʿawhā ḥaqqa riʿāyatihā faātaynā alladhīna āmanū min'hum ajrahum wakathīrun min'hum fāsiqūn

یَـٰۤأَیُّهَا ٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَءَامِنُوا۟ بِرَسُولِهِۦ یُؤۡتِكُمۡ كِفۡلَیۡنِ مِن رَّحۡمَتِهِۦ وَیَجۡعَل لَّكُمۡ نُورࣰا تَمۡشُونَ بِهِۦ وَیَغۡفِرۡ لَكُمۡۚ وَٱللَّهُ غَفُورࣱ رَّحِیمࣱ ۝٢٨

M. Farook Malik

O believers! Fear Allah and believe in His Messenger (Muhammad, peace be upon him). He will grant you a double share of His mercy, provide for you a light to walk with and forgive you your sins. Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful

yāayyuhā alladhīna āmanū ittaqū l-laha waāminū birasūlihi yu'tikum kif'layni min raḥmatihi wayajʿal lakum nūran tamshūna bihi wayaghfir lakum wal-lahu ghafūrun raḥīmu

لِّئَلَّا یَعۡلَمَ أَهۡلُ ٱلۡكِتَـٰبِ أَلَّا یَقۡدِرُونَ عَلَىٰ شَیۡءࣲ مِّن فَضۡلِ ٱللَّهِ وَأَنَّ ٱلۡفَضۡلَ بِیَدِ ٱللَّهِ یُؤۡتِیهِ مَن یَشَاۤءُۚ وَٱللَّهُ ذُو ٱلۡفَضۡلِ ٱلۡعَظِیمِ ۝٢٩

M. Farook Malik

You should adopt this way so that the people of the Book may know that they do not have the sole right to the grace of Allah, and that His grace is entirely in His own hands, which He bestows on whomever He wills: and Allah is the Owner of mighty grace

li-allā yaʿlama ahlu l-kitābi allā yaqdirūna ʿalā shayin min faḍli l-lahi wa-anna l-faḍla biyadi l-lahi yu'tīhi man yashāu wal-lahu dhū l-faḍli l-ʿaẓīm
