هُوَ ٱلَّذِی خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ فِی سِتَّةِ أَیَّامࣲ ثُمَّ ٱسۡتَوَىٰ عَلَى ٱلۡعَرۡشِۖ یَعۡلَمُ مَا یَلِجُ فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَمَا یَخۡرُجُ مِنۡهَا وَمَا یَنزِلُ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَاۤءِ وَمَا یَعۡرُجُ فِیهَاۖ وَهُوَ مَعَكُمۡ أَیۡنَ مَا كُنتُمۡۚ وَٱللَّهُ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ بَصِیرࣱ ۝٤

Linda "iLham" Barto

It is He who has created the skies and Earth in six days and is ultimately established on the throne. He knows what penetrates the earth and what emerges from it, and what falls from the sky and what mounts up to it. And He is with you wherever you may be, and Allah observes all that you do.

huwa alladhī khalaqa l-samāwāti wal-arḍa fī sittati ayyāmin thumma is'tawā ʿalā l-ʿarshi yaʿlamu mā yaliju fī l-arḍi wamā yakhruju min'hā wamā yanzilu mina l-samāi wamā yaʿruju fīhā wahuwa maʿakum ayna mā kuntum wal-lahu bimā taʿmalūna baṣīru

57:5

لَّهُۥ مُلۡكُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ وَإِلَى ٱللَّهِ تُرۡجَعُ ٱلۡأُمُورُ ۝٥

Linda "iLham" Barto

To Him belongs the dominion of Heaven and Earth, and all affairs are referred back to Allah.

lahu mul'ku l-samāwāti wal-arḍi wa-ilā l-lahi tur'jaʿu l-umūr

57:6

یُولِجُ ٱلَّیۡلَ فِی ٱلنَّهَارِ وَیُولِجُ ٱلنَّهَارَ فِی ٱلَّیۡلِۚ وَهُوَ عَلِیمُۢ بِذَاتِ ٱلصُّدُورِ ۝٦

Linda "iLham" Barto

He merges night into day, and day into night, and He has full knowledge of the secrets of hearts.

yūliju al-layla fī l-nahāri wayūliju l-nahāra fī al-layli wahuwa ʿalīmun bidhāti l-ṣudūr

57:7

ءَامِنُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِۦ وَأَنفِقُوا۟ مِمَّا جَعَلَكُم مُّسۡتَخۡلَفِینَ فِیهِۖ فَٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ مِنكُمۡ وَأَنفَقُوا۟ لَهُمۡ أَجۡرࣱ كَبِیرࣱ ۝٧

Linda "iLham" Barto

Believe in Allah and His messenger. Donate from the resources of which He has made you heirs. For those who believe and donate is a great reward.

āminū bil-lahi warasūlihi wa-anfiqū mimmā jaʿalakum mus'takhlafīna fīhi fa-alladhīna āmanū minkum wa-anfaqū lahum ajrun kabīru

57:8

وَمَا لَكُمۡ لَا تُؤۡمِنُونَ بِٱللَّهِ وَٱلرَّسُولُ یَدۡعُوكُمۡ لِتُؤۡمِنُوا۟ بِرَبِّكُمۡ وَقَدۡ أَخَذَ مِیثَـٰقَكُمۡ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤۡمِنِینَ ۝٨

Linda "iLham" Barto

For what reason would you not believe in Allah? The messenger invites you to believe in your Lord. (The Lord) has indeed made a covenant with you, if you are people of faith.

wamā lakum lā tu'minūna bil-lahi wal-rasūlu yadʿūkum litu'minū birabbikum waqad akhadha mīthāqakum in kuntum mu'minīn

57:9

هُوَ ٱلَّذِی یُنَزِّلُ عَلَىٰ عَبۡدِهِۦۤ ءَایَـٰتِۭ بَیِّنَـٰتࣲ لِّیُخۡرِجَكُم مِّنَ ٱلظُّلُمَـٰتِ إِلَى ٱلنُّورِۚ وَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ بِكُمۡ لَرَءُوفࣱ رَّحِیمࣱ ۝٩

Linda "iLham" Barto

It is He who sends obvious signs to His servant. [With them] He may lead you from the depths of darkness into the light. Truly, Allah is to you Kindest, Most Merciful.

huwa alladhī yunazzilu ʿalā ʿabdihi āyātin bayyinātin liyukh'rijakum mina l-ẓulumāti ilā l-nūri wa-inna l-laha bikum laraūfun raḥīmu

57:10

وَمَا لَكُمۡ أَلَّا تُنفِقُوا۟ فِی سَبِیلِ ٱللَّهِ وَلِلَّهِ مِیرَ ٰثُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ لَا یَسۡتَوِی مِنكُم مَّنۡ أَنفَقَ مِن قَبۡلِ ٱلۡفَتۡحِ وَقَـٰتَلَۚ أُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ أَعۡظَمُ دَرَجَةࣰ مِّنَ ٱلَّذِینَ أَنفَقُوا۟ مِنۢ بَعۡدُ وَقَـٰتَلُوا۟ۚ وَكُلࣰّا وَعَدَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلۡحُسۡنَىٰۚ وَٱللَّهُ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ خَبِیرࣱ ۝١٠

Linda "iLham" Barto

For what reason would you not spend in the cause of Allah? To Allah belongs the heritage of the skies and Earth. Those among you who spent and fought before the victory are not equal. They are higher in rank than those who spent and fought after [the victory]. But to all Allah has promised goodness. Allah is Fully Aware of all that you do.

wamā lakum allā tunfiqū fī sabīli l-lahi walillahi mīrāthu l-samāwāti wal-arḍi lā yastawī minkum man anfaqa min qabli l-fatḥi waqātala ulāika aʿẓamu darajatan mina alladhīna anfaqū min baʿdu waqātalū wakullan waʿada l-lahu l-ḥus'nā wal-lahu bimā taʿmalūna khabīru

57:11

مَّن ذَا ٱلَّذِی یُقۡرِضُ ٱللَّهَ قَرۡضًا حَسَنࣰا فَیُضَـٰعِفَهُۥ لَهُۥ وَلَهُۥۤ أَجۡرࣱ كَرِیمࣱ ۝١١

Linda "iLham" Barto

Who will advance to Allah a beautiful loan? Allah will multiply it to his/her credit, and he/she will be rewarded liberally.

man dhā alladhī yuq'riḍu l-laha qarḍan ḥasanan fayuḍāʿifahu lahu walahu ajrun karīmu

57:12

یَوۡمَ تَرَى ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِینَ وَٱلۡمُؤۡمِنَـٰتِ یَسۡعَىٰ نُورُهُم بَیۡنَ أَیۡدِیهِمۡ وَبِأَیۡمَـٰنِهِمۖ بُشۡرَىٰكُمُ ٱلۡیَوۡمَ جَنَّـٰتࣱ تَجۡرِی مِن تَحۡتِهَا ٱلۡأَنۡهَـٰرُ خَـٰلِدِینَ فِیهَاۚ ذَ ٰلِكَ هُوَ ٱلۡفَوۡزُ ٱلۡعَظِیمُ ۝١٢

Linda "iLham" Barto

One day you will see the believing men and the believing women, how their light goes forth before them and from their right hands. “Good news for you this day: gardens beneath which rivers flow for your eternal dwelling.” That is indeed the biggest success story!

yawma tarā l-mu'minīna wal-mu'mināti yasʿā nūruhum bayna aydīhim wabi-aymānihim bush'rākumu l-yawma jannātun tajrī min taḥtihā l-anhāru khālidīna fīhā dhālika huwa l-fawzu l-ʿaẓīm

57:13

یَوۡمَ یَقُولُ ٱلۡمُنَـٰفِقُونَ وَٱلۡمُنَـٰفِقَـٰتُ لِلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱنظُرُونَا نَقۡتَبِسۡ مِن نُّورِكُمۡ قِیلَ ٱرۡجِعُوا۟ وَرَاۤءَكُمۡ فَٱلۡتَمِسُوا۟ نُورࣰاۖ فَضُرِبَ بَیۡنَهُم بِسُورࣲ لَّهُۥ بَابُۢ بَاطِنُهُۥ فِیهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَةُ وَظَـٰهِرُهُۥ مِن قِبَلِهِ ٱلۡعَذَابُ ۝١٣

Linda "iLham" Barto

One day the male and female hypocrites will say to the believers, “Wait for us! Let us borrow from your [spiritual] light!” It will be said, “Get back to the rear, and then seek a light.” A wall will be placed between them, with a gate in it. On one side will be mercy, and on the other side will be punishment.

yawma yaqūlu l-munāfiqūna wal-munāfiqātu lilladhīna āmanū unẓurūnā naqtabis min nūrikum qīla ir'jiʿū warāakum fal-tamisū nūran faḍuriba baynahum bisūrin lahu bābun bāṭinuhu fīhi l-raḥmatu waẓāhiruhu min qibalihi l-ʿadhāb

57:14

یُنَادُونَهُمۡ أَلَمۡ نَكُن مَّعَكُمۡۖ قَالُوا۟ بَلَىٰ وَلَـٰكِنَّكُمۡ فَتَنتُمۡ أَنفُسَكُمۡ وَتَرَبَّصۡتُمۡ وَٱرۡتَبۡتُمۡ وَغَرَّتۡكُمُ ٱلۡأَمَانِیُّ حَتَّىٰ جَاۤءَ أَمۡرُ ٱللَّهِ وَغَرَّكُم بِٱللَّهِ ٱلۡغَرُورُ ۝١٤

Linda "iLham" Barto

(Those on the punishment side) will call, “Were we not with you?” (Those receiving mercy) will reply, “Yes, but you led yourselves into temptation. You hesitated [in your faith]. You were in doubt [about Allah], and your desires deceived you. Finally, a command came from Allah. The deceiver deceived you concerning Allah.

yunādūnahum alam nakun maʿakum qālū balā walākinnakum fatantum anfusakum watarabbaṣtum wa-ir'tabtum wagharratkumu l-amāniyu ḥattā jāa amru l-lahi wagharrakum bil-lahi l-gharūr

57:15

فَٱلۡیَوۡمَ لَا یُؤۡخَذُ مِنكُمۡ فِدۡیَةࣱ وَلَا مِنَ ٱلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوا۟ۚ مَأۡوَىٰكُمُ ٱلنَّارُۖ هِیَ مَوۡلَىٰكُمۡۖ وَبِئۡسَ ٱلۡمَصِیرُ ۝١٥

Linda "iLham" Barto

This day no ransom will be accepted from you or anyone else who rejected faith. Your place is in the fire. That is your companion. It is a wretched destination!”

fal-yawma lā yu'khadhu minkum fid'yatun walā mina alladhīna kafarū mawākumu l-nāru hiya mawlākum wabi'sa l-maṣīr

57:16

۞ أَلَمۡ یَأۡنِ لِلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوۤا۟ أَن تَخۡشَعَ قُلُوبُهُمۡ لِذِكۡرِ ٱللَّهِ وَمَا نَزَلَ مِنَ ٱلۡحَقِّ وَلَا یَكُونُوا۟ كَٱلَّذِینَ أُوتُوا۟ ٱلۡكِتَـٰبَ مِن قَبۡلُ فَطَالَ عَلَیۡهِمُ ٱلۡأَمَدُ فَقَسَتۡ قُلُوبُهُمۡۖ وَكَثِیرࣱ مِّنۡهُمۡ فَـٰسِقُونَ ۝١٦

Linda "iLham" Barto

Has the time not arrived for all believers to engage their hearts in humility at the remembrance of Allah and of the truth that has been revealed? They should not become like those to whom the Book was given previously. Their hearts grew hard with the passage of time. Many among them are rebellious sinners.

alam yani lilladhīna āmanū an takhshaʿa qulūbuhum lidhik'ri l-lahi wamā nazala mina l-ḥaqi walā yakūnū ka-alladhīna ūtū l-kitāba min qablu faṭāla ʿalayhimu l-amadu faqasat qulūbuhum wakathīrun min'hum fāsiqūn

57:17

ٱعۡلَمُوۤا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ یُحۡیِ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ بَعۡدَ مَوۡتِهَاۚ قَدۡ بَیَّنَّا لَكُمُ ٱلۡءَایَـٰتِ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَعۡقِلُونَ ۝١٧

Linda "iLham" Barto

Understand that Allah gives life to the earth after its death. We have already shown the signs plainly to you so you may understand.

iʿ'lamū anna l-laha yuḥ'yī l-arḍa baʿda mawtihā qad bayyannā lakumu l-āyāti laʿallakum taʿqilūn

57:18

إِنَّ ٱلۡمُصَّدِّقِینَ وَٱلۡمُصَّدِّقَـٰتِ وَأَقۡرَضُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ قَرۡضًا حَسَنࣰا یُضَـٰعَفُ لَهُمۡ وَلَهُمۡ أَجۡرࣱ كَرِیمࣱ ۝١٨

Linda "iLham" Barto

Truly, for charitable men and women who loan to Allah a beautiful loan, there shall be multiple increases. They will have a generous reward.

inna l-muṣadiqīna wal-muṣadiqāti wa-aqraḍū l-laha qarḍan ḥasanan yuḍāʿafu lahum walahum ajrun karīmu

57:19

وَٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ وَرُسُلِهِۦۤ أُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ هُمُ ٱلصِّدِّیقُونَۖ وَٱلشُّهَدَاۤءُ عِندَ رَبِّهِمۡ لَهُمۡ أَجۡرُهُمۡ وَنُورُهُمۡۖ وَٱلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوا۟ وَكَذَّبُوا۟ بِءَایَـٰتِنَاۤ أُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ أَصۡحَـٰبُ ٱلۡجَحِیمِ ۝١٩

Linda "iLham" Barto

Those who believe in Allah and His messengers are sincere and are witnesses in the sight of their Lord. They will have their reward and their [spiritual] light. Those who reject faith and deny Our signs, however, will be companions of Hell.

wa-alladhīna āmanū bil-lahi warusulihi ulāika humu l-ṣidīqūna wal-shuhadāu ʿinda rabbihim lahum ajruhum wanūruhum wa-alladhīna kafarū wakadhabū biāyātinā ulāika aṣḥābu l-jaḥīm

57:20

ٱعۡلَمُوۤا۟ أَنَّمَا ٱلۡحَیَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنۡیَا لَعِبࣱ وَلَهۡوࣱ وَزِینَةࣱ وَتَفَاخُرُۢ بَیۡنَكُمۡ وَتَكَاثُرࣱ فِی ٱلۡأَمۡوَ ٰلِ وَٱلۡأَوۡلَـٰدِۖ كَمَثَلِ غَیۡثٍ أَعۡجَبَ ٱلۡكُفَّارَ نَبَاتُهُۥ ثُمَّ یَهِیجُ فَتَرَىٰهُ مُصۡفَرࣰّا ثُمَّ یَكُونُ حُطَـٰمࣰاۖ وَفِی ٱلۡءَاخِرَةِ عَذَابࣱ شَدِیدࣱ وَمَغۡفِرَةࣱ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَرِضۡوَ ٰنࣱۚ وَمَا ٱلۡحَیَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنۡیَاۤ إِلَّا مَتَـٰعُ ٱلۡغُرُورِ ۝٢٠

Linda "iLham" Barto

You must understand that the life of this world is only recreation and amusement, pageantry, and common bragging, and competition in increasing wealth and children. Consider this simile: Rain and the growth it causes delight the farmers, but soon (the growth) withers, and then you see it turning yellow until it crumbles. In the hereafter is a severe penalty or forgiveness from Allah and wonderful bliss. What is the life of this world but enjoyment and deception?

iʿ'lamū annamā l-ḥayatu l-dun'yā laʿibun walahwun wazīnatun watafākhurun baynakum watakāthurun fī l-amwāli wal-awlādi kamathali ghaythin aʿjaba l-kufāra nabātuhu thumma yahīju fatarāhu muṣ'farran thumma yakūnu ḥuṭāman wafī l-ākhirati ʿadhābun shadīdun wamaghfiratun mina l-lahi wariḍ'wānun wamā l-ḥayatu l-dun'yā illā matāʿu l-ghurūr

57:21

سَابِقُوۤا۟ إِلَىٰ مَغۡفِرَةࣲ مِّن رَّبِّكُمۡ وَجَنَّةٍ عَرۡضُهَا كَعَرۡضِ ٱلسَّمَاۤءِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ أُعِدَّتۡ لِلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ وَرُسُلِهِۦۚ ذَ ٰلِكَ فَضۡلُ ٱللَّهِ یُؤۡتِیهِ مَن یَشَاۤءُۚ وَٱللَّهُ ذُو ٱلۡفَضۡلِ ٱلۡعَظِیمِ ۝٢١

Linda "iLham" Barto

Compete for forgiveness from your Lord and for Paradise, the width of which equates the skies and Earth and is prepared for those who believe in Allah and His messengers. Such is the bounty of Allah, bestowed on whom He pleases, and Allah is the Owner of Abundance, the Magnificent.

sābiqū ilā maghfiratin min rabbikum wajannatin ʿarḍuhā kaʿarḍi l-samāi wal-arḍi uʿiddat lilladhīna āmanū bil-lahi warusulihi dhālika faḍlu l-lahi yu'tīhi man yashāu wal-lahu dhū l-faḍli l-ʿaẓīm

57:22

مَاۤ أَصَابَ مِن مُّصِیبَةࣲ فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَلَا فِیۤ أَنفُسِكُمۡ إِلَّا فِی كِتَـٰبࣲ مِّن قَبۡلِ أَن نَّبۡرَأَهَاۤۚ إِنَّ ذَ ٰلِكَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ یَسِیرࣱ ۝٢٢

Linda "iLham" Barto

No hardship happens on earth or in your souls except that which is recorded in a Book before We bring it into existence. [That is] an easy thing for Allah.

mā aṣāba min muṣībatin fī l-arḍi walā fī anfusikum illā fī kitābin min qabli an nabra-ahā inna dhālika ʿalā l-lahi yasīru

57:23

لِّكَیۡلَا تَأۡسَوۡا۟ عَلَىٰ مَا فَاتَكُمۡ وَلَا تَفۡرَحُوا۟ بِمَاۤ ءَاتَىٰكُمۡۗ وَٱللَّهُ لَا یُحِبُّ كُلَّ مُخۡتَالࣲ فَخُورٍ ۝٢٣

Linda "iLham" Barto

Therefore, you should not despair over missed (opportunities) or gloat over (blessings) bestowed upon you. Allah does not love arrogant boasters.

likaylā tasaw ʿalā mā fātakum walā tafraḥū bimā ātākum wal-lahu lā yuḥibbu kulla mukh'tālin fakhūri

57:24

ٱلَّذِینَ یَبۡخَلُونَ وَیَأۡمُرُونَ ٱلنَّاسَ بِٱلۡبُخۡلِۗ وَمَن یَتَوَلَّ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلۡغَنِیُّ ٱلۡحَمِیدُ ۝٢٤

Linda "iLham" Barto

Such people are covetous and encourage materialism. If any retreat [from holiness], truly, Allah is Independent, the Praised One.

alladhīna yabkhalūna wayamurūna l-nāsa bil-bukh'li waman yatawalla fa-inna l-laha huwa l-ghaniyu l-ḥamīd

57:25

لَقَدۡ أَرۡسَلۡنَا رُسُلَنَا بِٱلۡبَیِّنَـٰتِ وَأَنزَلۡنَا مَعَهُمُ ٱلۡكِتَـٰبَ وَٱلۡمِیزَانَ لِیَقُومَ ٱلنَّاسُ بِٱلۡقِسۡطِۖ وَأَنزَلۡنَا ٱلۡحَدِیدَ فِیهِ بَأۡسࣱ شَدِیدࣱ وَمَنَـٰفِعُ لِلنَّاسِ وَلِیَعۡلَمَ ٱللَّهُ مَن یَنصُرُهُۥ وَرُسُلَهُۥ بِٱلۡغَیۡبِۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ قَوِیٌّ عَزِیزࣱ ۝٢٥

Linda "iLham" Barto

Previously, We sent our messengers with obvious signs and descended to them the Book and the criterion [laws and commandments] that people may stand on justice. We bestowed iron wherein is mighty power and other benefits for humanity, so that Allah may reveal who secretly wants to help Him and His messenger. Truly, Allah is Strongest, the Victorious.

laqad arsalnā rusulanā bil-bayināti wa-anzalnā maʿahumu l-kitāba wal-mīzāna liyaqūma l-nāsu bil-qis'ṭi wa-anzalnā l-ḥadīda fīhi basun shadīdun wamanāfiʿu lilnnāsi waliyaʿlama l-lahu man yanṣuruhu warusulahu bil-ghaybi inna l-laha qawiyyun ʿazīzu

57:26

وَلَقَدۡ أَرۡسَلۡنَا نُوحࣰا وَإِبۡرَ ٰهِیمَ وَجَعَلۡنَا فِی ذُرِّیَّتِهِمَا ٱلنُّبُوَّةَ وَٱلۡكِتَـٰبَۖ فَمِنۡهُم مُّهۡتَدࣲۖ وَكَثِیرࣱ مِّنۡهُمۡ فَـٰسِقُونَ ۝٢٦

Linda "iLham" Barto

We certainly sent Noah and Abraham. We established within their descendants the family of prophets and the Book. Among them were those rightly guided, but most of them were defiantly disobedient.

walaqad arsalnā nūḥan wa-ib'rāhīma wajaʿalnā fī dhurriyyatihimā l-nubuwata wal-kitāba famin'hum muh'tadin wakathīrun min'hum fāsiqūn

57:27

ثُمَّ قَفَّیۡنَا عَلَىٰۤ ءَاثَـٰرِهِم بِرُسُلِنَا وَقَفَّیۡنَا بِعِیسَى ٱبۡنِ مَرۡیَمَ وَءَاتَیۡنَـٰهُ ٱلۡإِنجِیلَۖ وَجَعَلۡنَا فِی قُلُوبِ ٱلَّذِینَ ٱتَّبَعُوهُ رَأۡفَةࣰ وَرَحۡمَةࣰۚ وَرَهۡبَانِیَّةً ٱبۡتَدَعُوهَا مَا كَتَبۡنَـٰهَا عَلَیۡهِمۡ إِلَّا ٱبۡتِغَاۤءَ رِضۡوَ ٰنِ ٱللَّهِ فَمَا رَعَوۡهَا حَقَّ رِعَایَتِهَاۖ فَءَاتَیۡنَا ٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ مِنۡهُمۡ أَجۡرَهُمۡۖ وَكَثِیرࣱ مِّنۡهُمۡ فَـٰسِقُونَ ۝٢٧

Linda "iLham" Barto

We sent Our messengers after their footsteps. We followed them with Jesus the son of Mary and bestowed on him the Gospel. We ordained within the hearts of his followers compassion and mercy, but (certain) followers made up the idea of monasticism [eg, celibacy and self-denial]. We did not prescribe that for them. We only commanded seeking the contentment of Allah, but they failed to observe that as they should have. Still, We rewarded the believers appropriately, but many are defiantly disobedient.

thumma qaffaynā ʿalā āthārihim birusulinā waqaffaynā biʿīsā ib'ni maryama waātaynāhu l-injīla wajaʿalnā fī qulūbi alladhīna ittabaʿūhu rafatan waraḥmatan warahbāniyyatan ib'tadaʿūhā mā katabnāhā ʿalayhim illā ib'tighāa riḍ'wāni l-lahi famā raʿawhā ḥaqqa riʿāyatihā faātaynā alladhīna āmanū min'hum ajrahum wakathīrun min'hum fāsiqūn

57:28

یَـٰۤأَیُّهَا ٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَءَامِنُوا۟ بِرَسُولِهِۦ یُؤۡتِكُمۡ كِفۡلَیۡنِ مِن رَّحۡمَتِهِۦ وَیَجۡعَل لَّكُمۡ نُورࣰا تَمۡشُونَ بِهِۦ وَیَغۡفِرۡ لَكُمۡۚ وَٱللَّهُ غَفُورࣱ رَّحِیمࣱ ۝٢٨

O Believers, fear Allah and believe in His messenger [Muhammed, in addition to Jesus], and He will bestow on you a double portion of His mercy. He will provide a light by which you can walk, and He will forgive you. Allah is the Most Forgiving, the Most Merciful.

yāayyuhā alladhīna āmanū ittaqū l-laha waāminū birasūlihi yu'tikum kif'layni min raḥmatihi wayajʿal lakum nūran tamshūna bihi wayaghfir lakum wal-lahu ghafūrun raḥīmu

57:29

لِّئَلَّا یَعۡلَمَ أَهۡلُ ٱلۡكِتَـٰبِ أَلَّا یَقۡدِرُونَ عَلَىٰ شَیۡءࣲ مِّن فَضۡلِ ٱللَّهِ وَأَنَّ ٱلۡفَضۡلَ بِیَدِ ٱللَّهِ یُؤۡتِیهِ مَن یَشَاۤءُۚ وَٱللَّهُ ذُو ٱلۡفَضۡلِ ٱلۡعَظِیمِ ۝٢٩

The people of the Book should know that they have no monopoly over the grace of Allah. Grace is in Allah’s hand; He bestows it on whomever He will. Allah is the Lord of Abundant Grace.

li-allā yaʿlama ahlu l-kitābi allā yaqdirūna ʿalā shayin min faḍli l-lahi wa-anna l-faḍla biyadi l-lahi yu'tīhi man yashāu wal-lahu dhū l-faḍli l-ʿaẓīm
