1 Establishment of God's Kingdom

سَبَّحَ لِلَّهِ مَا فِی ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۖ وَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِیزُ ٱلۡحَكِیمُ ۝١

N J Dawood 2014

ALL THAT is in the heavens and on the earth gives glory to God. He is the Almighty, the Wise One

sabbaḥa lillahi mā fī l-samāwāti wal-arḍi wahuwa l-ʿazīzu l-ḥakīm

لَهُۥ مُلۡكُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۖ یُحۡیِۦ وَیُمِیتُۖ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَیۡءࣲ قَدِیرٌ ۝٢

N J Dawood 2014

He it is that has sovereignty over the heavens and the earth. He ordains life and death, and has power over all things

lahu mul'ku l-samāwāti wal-arḍi yuḥ'yī wayumītu wahuwa ʿalā kulli shayin qadīru

هُوَ ٱلۡأَوَّلُ وَٱلۡءَاخِرُ وَٱلظَّـٰهِرُ وَٱلۡبَاطِنُۖ وَهُوَ بِكُلِّ شَیۡءٍ عَلِیمٌ ۝٣

N J Dawood 2014

He is the First and the Last, the Visible and the Unseen. He has knowledge of all things

huwa l-awalu wal-ākhiru wal-ẓāhiru wal-bāṭinu wahuwa bikulli shayin ʿalīmu

هُوَ ٱلَّذِی خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ فِی سِتَّةِ أَیَّامࣲ ثُمَّ ٱسۡتَوَىٰ عَلَى ٱلۡعَرۡشِۖ یَعۡلَمُ مَا یَلِجُ فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَمَا یَخۡرُجُ مِنۡهَا وَمَا یَنزِلُ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَاۤءِ وَمَا یَعۡرُجُ فِیهَاۖ وَهُوَ مَعَكُمۡ أَیۡنَ مَا كُنتُمۡۚ وَٱللَّهُ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ بَصِیرࣱ ۝٤

He it was who created the heavens and the earth in six days, and then seated Himself upon the throne. He knows all that goes into the earth and all that comes out from it, all that descends from heaven and all that ascends to it. And He is with you wherever you are. God is cognizant of what you do

huwa alladhī khalaqa l-samāwāti wal-arḍa fī sittati ayyāmin thumma is'tawā ʿalā l-ʿarshi yaʿlamu mā yaliju fī l-arḍi wamā yakhruju min'hā wamā yanzilu mina l-samāi wamā yaʿruju fīhā wahuwa maʿakum ayna mā kuntum wal-lahu bimā taʿmalūna baṣīru

لَّهُۥ مُلۡكُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ وَإِلَى ٱللَّهِ تُرۡجَعُ ٱلۡأُمُورُ ۝٥

He has sovereignty over the heavens and the earth. To God shall all things return

lahu mul'ku l-samāwāti wal-arḍi wa-ilā l-lahi tur'jaʿu l-umūr

یُولِجُ ٱلَّیۡلَ فِی ٱلنَّهَارِ وَیُولِجُ ٱلنَّهَارَ فِی ٱلَّیۡلِۚ وَهُوَ عَلِیمُۢ بِذَاتِ ٱلصُّدُورِ ۝٦

He causes the night to pass into the day, and causes the day to pass into the night. He has knowledge of one‘s innermost thoughts

yūliju al-layla fī l-nahāri wayūliju l-nahāra fī al-layli wahuwa ʿalīmun bidhāti l-ṣudūr

ءَامِنُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِۦ وَأَنفِقُوا۟ مِمَّا جَعَلَكُم مُّسۡتَخۡلَفِینَ فِیهِۖ فَٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ مِنكُمۡ وَأَنفَقُوا۟ لَهُمۡ أَجۡرࣱ كَبِیرࣱ ۝٧

N J Dawood 2014

Have faith in God and His apostle and give from that which He has made your inheritance; for whoever of you believes and gives shall be richly recompensed

āminū bil-lahi warasūlihi wa-anfiqū mimmā jaʿalakum mus'takhlafīna fīhi fa-alladhīna āmanū minkum wa-anfaqū lahum ajrun kabīru

وَمَا لَكُمۡ لَا تُؤۡمِنُونَ بِٱللَّهِ وَٱلرَّسُولُ یَدۡعُوكُمۡ لِتُؤۡمِنُوا۟ بِرَبِّكُمۡ وَقَدۡ أَخَذَ مِیثَـٰقَكُمۡ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤۡمِنِینَ ۝٨

And what cause have you not to believe in God, when the Apostle calls on you to believe in your Lord, with whom you have made a covenant, if you are true believers

wamā lakum lā tu'minūna bil-lahi wal-rasūlu yadʿūkum litu'minū birabbikum waqad akhadha mīthāqakum in kuntum mu'minīn

هُوَ ٱلَّذِی یُنَزِّلُ عَلَىٰ عَبۡدِهِۦۤ ءَایَـٰتِۭ بَیِّنَـٰتࣲ لِّیُخۡرِجَكُم مِّنَ ٱلظُّلُمَـٰتِ إِلَى ٱلنُّورِۚ وَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ بِكُمۡ لَرَءُوفࣱ رَّحِیمࣱ ۝٩

N J Dawood 2014

He it is who sends down clear revelations to His servant, that he may lead you out of darkness into the light. Surely God is benignant to you and compassionate

huwa alladhī yunazzilu ʿalā ʿabdihi āyātin bayyinātin liyukh'rijakum mina l-ẓulumāti ilā l-nūri wa-inna l-laha bikum laraūfun raḥīmu

وَمَا لَكُمۡ أَلَّا تُنفِقُوا۟ فِی سَبِیلِ ٱللَّهِ وَلِلَّهِ مِیرَ ٰثُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ لَا یَسۡتَوِی مِنكُم مَّنۡ أَنفَقَ مِن قَبۡلِ ٱلۡفَتۡحِ وَقَـٰتَلَۚ أُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ أَعۡظَمُ دَرَجَةࣰ مِّنَ ٱلَّذِینَ أَنفَقُوا۟ مِنۢ بَعۡدُ وَقَـٰتَلُوا۟ۚ وَكُلࣰّا وَعَدَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلۡحُسۡنَىٰۚ وَٱللَّهُ بِمَا تَعۡمَلُونَ خَبِیرࣱ ۝١٠

N J Dawood 2014

And why should you not give to the cause of God, when God alone will inherit the heavens and the earth? Those of you that gave before the victory, and took part in the fighting, shall receive greater honour than the others who gave and fought thereafter. Yet God has promised you all a good reward; God has knowledge of what you do

wamā lakum allā tunfiqū fī sabīli l-lahi walillahi mīrāthu l-samāwāti wal-arḍi lā yastawī minkum man anfaqa min qabli l-fatḥi waqātala ulāika aʿẓamu darajatan mina alladhīna anfaqū min baʿdu waqātalū wakullan waʿada l-lahu l-ḥus'nā wal-lahu bimā taʿmalūna khabīru

2 Light and Life given by Prophet

مَّن ذَا ٱلَّذِی یُقۡرِضُ ٱللَّهَ قَرۡضًا حَسَنࣰا فَیُضَـٰعِفَهُۥ لَهُۥ وَلَهُۥۤ أَجۡرࣱ كَرِیمࣱ ۝١١

Who will give a generous loan to God? He will pay him back twofold and his shall be a noble recompense

man dhā alladhī yuq'riḍu l-laha qarḍan ḥasanan fayuḍāʿifahu lahu walahu ajrun karīmu

یَوۡمَ تَرَى ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِینَ وَٱلۡمُؤۡمِنَـٰتِ یَسۡعَىٰ نُورُهُم بَیۡنَ أَیۡدِیهِمۡ وَبِأَیۡمَـٰنِهِمۖ بُشۡرَىٰكُمُ ٱلۡیَوۡمَ جَنَّـٰتࣱ تَجۡرِی مِن تَحۡتِهَا ٱلۡأَنۡهَـٰرُ خَـٰلِدِینَ فِیهَاۚ ذَ ٰلِكَ هُوَ ٱلۡفَوۡزُ ٱلۡعَظِیمُ ۝١٢

The day when you behold the believers, men and women, with their light shining before them and on their right hands: ‘Rejoice this day, in Gardens watered by running brooks, wherein shall you abide for ever.‘ That is the supreme triumph

yawma tarā l-mu'minīna wal-mu'mināti yasʿā nūruhum bayna aydīhim wabi-aymānihim bush'rākumu l-yawma jannātun tajrī min taḥtihā l-anhāru khālidīna fīhā dhālika huwa l-fawzu l-ʿaẓīm

یَوۡمَ یَقُولُ ٱلۡمُنَـٰفِقُونَ وَٱلۡمُنَـٰفِقَـٰتُ لِلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱنظُرُونَا نَقۡتَبِسۡ مِن نُّورِكُمۡ قِیلَ ٱرۡجِعُوا۟ وَرَاۤءَكُمۡ فَٱلۡتَمِسُوا۟ نُورࣰاۖ فَضُرِبَ بَیۡنَهُم بِسُورࣲ لَّهُۥ بَابُۢ بَاطِنُهُۥ فِیهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَةُ وَظَـٰهِرُهُۥ مِن قِبَلِهِ ٱلۡعَذَابُ ۝١٣

On that day the hypocrites, men and women, will say to the believers: ‘Wait for us, that we may borrow some of your light.‘ They will be told: ‘Go back, and seek a light!‘ A wall with a gate shall be set before them. Inside there shall be mercy, and without, to the fore, the torment

yawma yaqūlu l-munāfiqūna wal-munāfiqātu lilladhīna āmanū unẓurūnā naqtabis min nūrikum qīla ir'jiʿū warāakum fal-tamisū nūran faḍuriba baynahum bisūrin lahu bābun bāṭinuhu fīhi l-raḥmatu waẓāhiruhu min qibalihi l-ʿadhāb

یُنَادُونَهُمۡ أَلَمۡ نَكُن مَّعَكُمۡۖ قَالُوا۟ بَلَىٰ وَلَـٰكِنَّكُمۡ فَتَنتُمۡ أَنفُسَكُمۡ وَتَرَبَّصۡتُمۡ وَٱرۡتَبۡتُمۡ وَغَرَّتۡكُمُ ٱلۡأَمَانِیُّ حَتَّىٰ جَاۤءَ أَمۡرُ ٱللَّهِ وَغَرَّكُم بِٱللَّهِ ٱلۡغَرُورُ ۝١٤

They will call out to them, saying: ‘Were we not on your side?‘ ‘Yes,‘ they will reply, ‘but you tempted yourselves, you bided your time, you doubted, and were seduced by vain desires until God‘s will was done and the Dissembler misled you about God

yunādūnahum alam nakun maʿakum qālū balā walākinnakum fatantum anfusakum watarabbaṣtum wa-ir'tabtum wagharratkumu l-amāniyu ḥattā jāa amru l-lahi wagharrakum bil-lahi l-gharūr

فَٱلۡیَوۡمَ لَا یُؤۡخَذُ مِنكُمۡ فِدۡیَةࣱ وَلَا مِنَ ٱلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوا۟ۚ مَأۡوَىٰكُمُ ٱلنَّارُۖ هِیَ مَوۡلَىٰكُمۡۖ وَبِئۡسَ ٱلۡمَصِیرُ ۝١٥

N J Dawood 2014

Today no ransom shall be accepted from you, nor from the unbelievers. The Fire shall be your refuge: justly have you earned it, a wretched end!‘

fal-yawma lā yu'khadhu minkum fid'yatun walā mina alladhīna kafarū mawākumu l-nāru hiya mawlākum wabi'sa l-maṣīr

۞ أَلَمۡ یَأۡنِ لِلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوۤا۟ أَن تَخۡشَعَ قُلُوبُهُمۡ لِذِكۡرِ ٱللَّهِ وَمَا نَزَلَ مِنَ ٱلۡحَقِّ وَلَا یَكُونُوا۟ كَٱلَّذِینَ أُوتُوا۟ ٱلۡكِتَـٰبَ مِن قَبۡلُ فَطَالَ عَلَیۡهِمُ ٱلۡأَمَدُ فَقَسَتۡ قُلُوبُهُمۡۖ وَكَثِیرࣱ مِّنۡهُمۡ فَـٰسِقُونَ ۝١٦

Is it not time for true believers to submit with humble hearts to God‘s remembrance and to the Truth He has revealed, that they may not be like those who were given the Book before this, whose days were prolonged and whose hearts were hardened? Many of them are ungodly

alam yani lilladhīna āmanū an takhshaʿa qulūbuhum lidhik'ri l-lahi wamā nazala mina l-ḥaqi walā yakūnū ka-alladhīna ūtū l-kitāba min qablu faṭāla ʿalayhimu l-amadu faqasat qulūbuhum wakathīrun min'hum fāsiqūn

ٱعۡلَمُوۤا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ یُحۡیِ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ بَعۡدَ مَوۡتِهَاۚ قَدۡ بَیَّنَّا لَكُمُ ٱلۡءَایَـٰتِ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَعۡقِلُونَ ۝١٧

Know that God restores the earth to life after its death. We have made Our revelations clear to you, that you may understand

iʿ'lamū anna l-laha yuḥ'yī l-arḍa baʿda mawtihā qad bayyannā lakumu l-āyāti laʿallakum taʿqilūn

إِنَّ ٱلۡمُصَّدِّقِینَ وَٱلۡمُصَّدِّقَـٰتِ وَأَقۡرَضُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ قَرۡضًا حَسَنࣰا یُضَـٰعَفُ لَهُمۡ وَلَهُمۡ أَجۡرࣱ كَرِیمࣱ ۝١٨

N J Dawood 2014

Those that give alms, be they men or women, and those that give a generous loan to God, shall be repaid twofold. Theirs shall be a noble recompense

inna l-muṣadiqīna wal-muṣadiqāti wa-aqraḍū l-laha qarḍan ḥasanan yuḍāʿafu lahum walahum ajrun karīmu

وَٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ وَرُسُلِهِۦۤ أُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ هُمُ ٱلصِّدِّیقُونَۖ وَٱلشُّهَدَاۤءُ عِندَ رَبِّهِمۡ لَهُمۡ أَجۡرُهُمۡ وَنُورُهُمۡۖ وَٱلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوا۟ وَكَذَّبُوا۟ بِءَایَـٰتِنَاۤ أُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ أَصۡحَـٰبُ ٱلۡجَحِیمِ ۝١٩

And those that believe in God and His apostles are the men of Truth who shall testify in their Lord‘s presence. They shall have their guerdon and their light. But those that disbelieve Our revelations and deny them are the heirs of Hell

wa-alladhīna āmanū bil-lahi warusulihi ulāika humu l-ṣidīqūna wal-shuhadāu ʿinda rabbihim lahum ajruhum wanūruhum wa-alladhīna kafarū wakadhabū biāyātinā ulāika aṣḥābu l-jaḥīm

3 Truth shall be established

ٱعۡلَمُوۤا۟ أَنَّمَا ٱلۡحَیَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنۡیَا لَعِبࣱ وَلَهۡوࣱ وَزِینَةࣱ وَتَفَاخُرُۢ بَیۡنَكُمۡ وَتَكَاثُرࣱ فِی ٱلۡأَمۡوَ ٰلِ وَٱلۡأَوۡلَـٰدِۖ كَمَثَلِ غَیۡثٍ أَعۡجَبَ ٱلۡكُفَّارَ نَبَاتُهُۥ ثُمَّ یَهِیجُ فَتَرَىٰهُ مُصۡفَرࣰّا ثُمَّ یَكُونُ حُطَـٰمࣰاۖ وَفِی ٱلۡءَاخِرَةِ عَذَابࣱ شَدِیدࣱ وَمَغۡفِرَةࣱ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَرِضۡوَ ٰنࣱۚ وَمَا ٱلۡحَیَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنۡیَاۤ إِلَّا مَتَـٰعُ ٱلۡغُرُورِ ۝٢٠

Know that the life of this world is but a sport and a diversion, a show and an empty boast among you, a quest for greater riches and more children. It is like the plants that flourish after rain: the unbelievers rejoices to see them grow; but then they wither and turn yellow, soon becoming worthless stubble. In the life to come there is a grievous scourge, forgiveness from God and good pleasure. The life of this world is but a pleasurable delusion

iʿ'lamū annamā l-ḥayatu l-dun'yā laʿibun walahwun wazīnatun watafākhurun baynakum watakāthurun fī l-amwāli wal-awlādi kamathali ghaythin aʿjaba l-kufāra nabātuhu thumma yahīju fatarāhu muṣ'farran thumma yakūnu ḥuṭāman wafī l-ākhirati ʿadhābun shadīdun wamaghfiratun mina l-lahi wariḍ'wānun wamā l-ḥayatu l-dun'yā illā matāʿu l-ghurūr

سَابِقُوۤا۟ إِلَىٰ مَغۡفِرَةࣲ مِّن رَّبِّكُمۡ وَجَنَّةٍ عَرۡضُهَا كَعَرۡضِ ٱلسَّمَاۤءِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ أُعِدَّتۡ لِلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ وَرُسُلِهِۦۚ ذَ ٰلِكَ فَضۡلُ ٱللَّهِ یُؤۡتِیهِ مَن یَشَاۤءُۚ وَٱللَّهُ ذُو ٱلۡفَضۡلِ ٱلۡعَظِیمِ ۝٢١

Therefore vie for the pardon of your Lord, and for a Paradise as vast as heaven and earth, prepared for those who believe in God and His apostles. Such is the grace of God: He bestows it on whom He will. God‘s grace is infinite

sābiqū ilā maghfiratin min rabbikum wajannatin ʿarḍuhā kaʿarḍi l-samāi wal-arḍi uʿiddat lilladhīna āmanū bil-lahi warusulihi dhālika faḍlu l-lahi yu'tīhi man yashāu wal-lahu dhū l-faḍli l-ʿaẓīm

مَاۤ أَصَابَ مِن مُّصِیبَةࣲ فِی ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَلَا فِیۤ أَنفُسِكُمۡ إِلَّا فِی كِتَـٰبࣲ مِّن قَبۡلِ أَن نَّبۡرَأَهَاۤۚ إِنَّ ذَ ٰلِكَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ یَسِیرࣱ ۝٢٢

No misfortune befalls the earth, or your own persons, but is ordained before We bring it into being. That is easy enough for God

mā aṣāba min muṣībatin fī l-arḍi walā fī anfusikum illā fī kitābin min qabli an nabra-ahā inna dhālika ʿalā l-lahi yasīru

لِّكَیۡلَا تَأۡسَوۡا۟ عَلَىٰ مَا فَاتَكُمۡ وَلَا تَفۡرَحُوا۟ بِمَاۤ ءَاتَىٰكُمۡۗ وَٱللَّهُ لَا یُحِبُّ كُلَّ مُخۡتَالࣲ فَخُورٍ ۝٢٣

so that you may not grieve for the good things you miss, or be overjoyed at what you gain. God does not love the haughty, the vainglorious

likaylā tasaw ʿalā mā fātakum walā tafraḥū bimā ātākum wal-lahu lā yuḥibbu kulla mukh'tālin fakhūri

ٱلَّذِینَ یَبۡخَلُونَ وَیَأۡمُرُونَ ٱلنَّاسَ بِٱلۡبُخۡلِۗ وَمَن یَتَوَلَّ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلۡغَنِیُّ ٱلۡحَمِیدُ ۝٢٤

nor those who, being niggardly themselves, enjoin people to be niggardly. As for him that pays no heed ― God alone is self-sufficient and worthy of praise

alladhīna yabkhalūna wayamurūna l-nāsa bil-bukh'li waman yatawalla fa-inna l-laha huwa l-ghaniyu l-ḥamīd

لَقَدۡ أَرۡسَلۡنَا رُسُلَنَا بِٱلۡبَیِّنَـٰتِ وَأَنزَلۡنَا مَعَهُمُ ٱلۡكِتَـٰبَ وَٱلۡمِیزَانَ لِیَقُومَ ٱلنَّاسُ بِٱلۡقِسۡطِۖ وَأَنزَلۡنَا ٱلۡحَدِیدَ فِیهِ بَأۡسࣱ شَدِیدࣱ وَمَنَـٰفِعُ لِلنَّاسِ وَلِیَعۡلَمَ ٱللَّهُ مَن یَنصُرُهُۥ وَرُسُلَهُۥ بِٱلۡغَیۡبِۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ قَوِیٌّ عَزِیزࣱ ۝٢٥

We have sent Our apostles with signs manifest, and with them sent down the Book and the Balance, that people might conduct themselves with fairness. We have sent down iron, with its mighty strength and diverse uses for mankind, so that God may recognize those who aid Him, though unseen, and His apostles. Strong is God, and mighty

laqad arsalnā rusulanā bil-bayināti wa-anzalnā maʿahumu l-kitāba wal-mīzāna liyaqūma l-nāsu bil-qis'ṭi wa-anzalnā l-ḥadīda fīhi basun shadīdun wamanāfiʿu lilnnāsi waliyaʿlama l-lahu man yanṣuruhu warusulahu bil-ghaybi inna l-laha qawiyyun ʿazīzu

4 Double Reward for Believers

وَلَقَدۡ أَرۡسَلۡنَا نُوحࣰا وَإِبۡرَ ٰهِیمَ وَجَعَلۡنَا فِی ذُرِّیَّتِهِمَا ٱلنُّبُوَّةَ وَٱلۡكِتَـٰبَۖ فَمِنۡهُم مُّهۡتَدࣲۖ وَكَثِیرࣱ مِّنۡهُمۡ فَـٰسِقُونَ ۝٢٦

We sent forth Noah and Abraham, and bestowed on their offspring prophethood and the Book. Some were rightly guided, but many were degenerate

walaqad arsalnā nūḥan wa-ib'rāhīma wajaʿalnā fī dhurriyyatihimā l-nubuwata wal-kitāba famin'hum muh'tadin wakathīrun min'hum fāsiqūn

ثُمَّ قَفَّیۡنَا عَلَىٰۤ ءَاثَـٰرِهِم بِرُسُلِنَا وَقَفَّیۡنَا بِعِیسَى ٱبۡنِ مَرۡیَمَ وَءَاتَیۡنَـٰهُ ٱلۡإِنجِیلَۖ وَجَعَلۡنَا فِی قُلُوبِ ٱلَّذِینَ ٱتَّبَعُوهُ رَأۡفَةࣰ وَرَحۡمَةࣰۚ وَرَهۡبَانِیَّةً ٱبۡتَدَعُوهَا مَا كَتَبۡنَـٰهَا عَلَیۡهِمۡ إِلَّا ٱبۡتِغَاۤءَ رِضۡوَ ٰنِ ٱللَّهِ فَمَا رَعَوۡهَا حَقَّ رِعَایَتِهَاۖ فَءَاتَیۡنَا ٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ مِنۡهُمۡ أَجۡرَهُمۡۖ وَكَثِیرࣱ مِّنۡهُمۡ فَـٰسِقُونَ ۝٢٧

In their trail We sent Our apostles, and after those Jesus son of Mary. We gave him the Gospel, and put compassion and mercy in the hearts of his followers. As for monasticism, they instituted it themselves (for We had not enjoined it on them), seeking thereby to please God; but they did not observe it faithfully. We rewarded only those who believed; many of them were degenerate

thumma qaffaynā ʿalā āthārihim birusulinā waqaffaynā biʿīsā ib'ni maryama waātaynāhu l-injīla wajaʿalnā fī qulūbi alladhīna ittabaʿūhu rafatan waraḥmatan warahbāniyyatan ib'tadaʿūhā mā katabnāhā ʿalayhim illā ib'tighāa riḍ'wāni l-lahi famā raʿawhā ḥaqqa riʿāyatihā faātaynā alladhīna āmanū min'hum ajrahum wakathīrun min'hum fāsiqūn

یَـٰۤأَیُّهَا ٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَءَامِنُوا۟ بِرَسُولِهِۦ یُؤۡتِكُمۡ كِفۡلَیۡنِ مِن رَّحۡمَتِهِۦ وَیَجۡعَل لَّكُمۡ نُورࣰا تَمۡشُونَ بِهِۦ وَیَغۡفِرۡ لَكُمۡۚ وَٱللَّهُ غَفُورࣱ رَّحِیمࣱ ۝٢٨

Believers, fear God and put your trust in His apostle. He will grant you a double share of His mercy, He will bestow on you a light to walk in, and He will forgive you: God is forgiving and compassionate

yāayyuhā alladhīna āmanū ittaqū l-laha waāminū birasūlihi yu'tikum kif'layni min raḥmatihi wayajʿal lakum nūran tamshūna bihi wayaghfir lakum wal-lahu ghafūrun raḥīmu

لِّئَلَّا یَعۡلَمَ أَهۡلُ ٱلۡكِتَـٰبِ أَلَّا یَقۡدِرُونَ عَلَىٰ شَیۡءࣲ مِّن فَضۡلِ ٱللَّهِ وَأَنَّ ٱلۡفَضۡلَ بِیَدِ ٱللَّهِ یُؤۡتِیهِ مَن یَشَاۤءُۚ وَٱللَّهُ ذُو ٱلۡفَضۡلِ ٱلۡعَظِیمِ ۝٢٩

Let the People of the Book recognize that they have no control over anything within the grace of God; and that grace is in His hands alone, He vouchsafes it to whom He will, and God‘s grace is infinite

li-allā yaʿlama ahlu l-kitābi allā yaqdirūna ʿalā shayin min faḍli l-lahi wa-anna l-faḍla biyadi l-lahi yu'tīhi man yashāu wal-lahu dhū l-faḍli l-ʿaẓīm
