فَقُلْنَا faqul'nā
So We said V
ٱضْرِبُوهُ iḍ'ribūhu
Strike him V
بِبَعْضِهَا bibaʿḍihā

كَذَٰلِكَ kadhālika

يُحْىِ yuḥ'yī
revives V
ٱللَّهُ l-lahu
Allah Noun
ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ l-mawtā
the dead Noun
وَيُرِيكُمْ wayurīkum
and shows you V
ءَايَٰتِهِۦ āyātihi
His Signs Noun
لَعَلَّكُمْ laʿallakum
perhaps you may Prep
تَعْقِلُونَ taʿqilūna
use your intellect V

We said, ‘Strike the [body] with a part of [the cow]’: thus God brings the dead to life and shows His signs so that you may understand

فَقُلۡنَا ٱضۡرِبُوهُ بِبَعۡضِهَاۚ كَذَ ٰلِكَ یُحۡیِ ٱللَّهُ ٱلۡمَوۡتَىٰ وَیُرِیكُمۡ ءَایَـٰتِهِۦ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَعۡقِلُونَ ۝٧٣

faqul'nā iḍ'ribūhu bibaʿḍihā kadhālika yuḥ'yī l-lahu l-mawtā wayurīkum āyātihi laʿallakum taʿqilūn
