The Thunder 13:29 Noun
ٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ طُوبَىٰ لَهُمۡ وَحُسۡنُ مَءَابࣲ ۝٢٩
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): Those who have believed and done righteous deeds - a good state is theirs and a good return
Abdel Haleem: those who believe and do righteous deeds: joy awaits these, and their final homecoming will be excellent.’
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Those who believe and do right: Joy is for them, and bliss (their) journey's end
The Thunder 13:36 Noun
وَٱلَّذِینَ ءَاتَیۡنَـٰهُمُ ٱلۡكِتَـٰبَ یَفۡرَحُونَ بِمَاۤ أُنزِلَ إِلَیۡكَۖ وَمِنَ ٱلۡأَحۡزَابِ مَن یُنكِرُ بَعۡضَهُۥۚ قُلۡ إِنَّمَاۤ أُمِرۡتُ أَنۡ أَعۡبُدَ ٱللَّهَ وَلَاۤ أُشۡرِكَ بِهِۦۤۚ إِلَیۡهِ أَدۡعُوا۟ وَإِلَیۡهِ مَءَابِ ۝٣٦
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): And [the believers among] those to whom We have given the [previous] Scripture rejoice at what has been revealed to you, [O Muhammad], but among the [opposing] factions are those who deny part of it. Say, "I have only been commanded to worship Allah and not associate [anything] with Him. To Him I invite, and to Him is my return."
Abdel Haleem: Those to whom We sent the Scripture rejoice in what has been revealed to you [Prophet]; some factions deny parts of it. Say, ‘I am commanded to worship God, and not join anything with Him in worship: to Him I call [others] and to Him I shall return.’
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Those unto whom We gave the Scripture rejoice in that which is revealed unto thee. And of the clans there are who deny some of it. Say: I am commanded only that I serve Allah and ascribe unto Him no partner. Unto Him I cry, and unto Him is my return
Children of Israel, The Israelites 17:25 Noun
رَّبُّكُمۡ أَعۡلَمُ بِمَا فِی نُفُوسِكُمۡۚ إِن تَكُونُوا۟ صَـٰلِحِینَ فَإِنَّهُۥ كَانَ لِلۡأَوَّ ٰبِینَ غَفُورࣰا ۝٢٥
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): Your Lord is most knowing of what is within yourselves. If you should be righteous [in intention] - then indeed He is ever, to the often returning [to Him], Forgiving
Abdel Haleem: Your Lord knows best what is in your heart. If you are good, He is most forgiving to those who return to Him
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Your Lord is Best Aware of what is in your minds. If ye are righteous, then lo! He was ever Forgiving unto those who turn (unto Him)
The Letter Sad 38:17 Noun
ٱصۡبِرۡ عَلَىٰ مَا یَقُولُونَ وَٱذۡكُرۡ عَبۡدَنَا دَاوُۥدَ ذَا ٱلۡأَیۡدِۖ إِنَّهُۥۤ أَوَّابٌ ۝١٧
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): Be patient over what they say and remember Our servant, David, the possessor of strength; indeed, he was one who repeatedly turned back [to Allah ]
Abdel Haleem: Bear their words patiently [Prophet]. Remember Our servant David, a man of strength who always turned to Us
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Bear with what they say, and remember Our bondman David, lord of might, Lo! he was ever turning in repentance (toward Allah)
The Letter Sad 38:19 Noun
وَٱلطَّیۡرَ مَحۡشُورَةࣰۖ كُلࣱّ لَّهُۥۤ أَوَّابࣱ ۝١٩
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): And the birds were assembled, all with him repeating [praises]
Abdel Haleem: and the birds, too, in flocks, all echoed his praise
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: And the birds assembled; all were turning unto Him
The Letter Sad 38:25 Noun
فَغَفَرۡنَا لَهُۥ ذَ ٰلِكَۖ وَإِنَّ لَهُۥ عِندَنَا لَزُلۡفَىٰ وَحُسۡنَ مَءَابࣲ ۝٢٥
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): So We forgave him that; and indeed, for him is nearness to Us and a good place of return
Abdel Haleem: We forgave him [his misdeed]. His reward will be nearness to Us, a good place to return to
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: So We forgave him that; and lo! he had access to Our presence and a happy journey's end
The Letter Sad 38:30 Noun
وَوَهَبۡنَا لِدَاوُۥدَ سُلَیۡمَـٰنَۚ نِعۡمَ ٱلۡعَبۡدُ إِنَّهُۥۤ أَوَّابٌ ۝٣٠
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): And to David We gave Solomon. An excellent servant, indeed he was one repeatedly turning back [to Allah ]
Abdel Haleem: We gave David Solomon. He was an excellent servant who always turned to God
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: And We bestowed on David, Solomon. How excellent a slave! Lo! he was ever turning in repentance (toward Allah)
The Letter Sad 38:40 Noun
وَإِنَّ لَهُۥ عِندَنَا لَزُلۡفَىٰ وَحُسۡنَ مَءَابࣲ ۝٤٠
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): And indeed, for him is nearness to Us and a good place of return
Abdel Haleem: His reward will be nearness to Us, and a good place to return to
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: And lo! he hath favour with Us, and a happy journey's end
The Letter Sad 38:44 Noun
وَخُذۡ بِیَدِكَ ضِغۡثࣰا فَٱضۡرِب بِّهِۦ وَلَا تَحۡنَثۡۗ إِنَّا وَجَدۡنَـٰهُ صَابِرࣰاۚ نِّعۡمَ ٱلۡعَبۡدُ إِنَّهُۥۤ أَوَّابࣱ ۝٤٤
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): [We said], "And take in your hand a bunch [of grass] and strike with it and do not break your oath." Indeed, We found him patient, an excellent servant. Indeed, he was one repeatedly turning back [to Allah ]
Abdel Haleem: ‘Take a small bunch of grass in your hand, and strike [her] with that so as not to break your oath.’ We found him patient in adversity; an excellent servant! He, too, always turned to God
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: And (it was said unto him): Take in thine hand a branch and smite therewith, and break not thine oath. Lo! We found him steadfast, how excellent a slave! Lo! he was ever turning in repentance (to his Lord)
The Letter Sad 38:49 Noun
هَـٰذَا ذِكۡرࣱۚ وَإِنَّ لِلۡمُتَّقِینَ لَحُسۡنَ مَءَابࣲ ۝٤٩
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): This is a reminder. And indeed, for the righteous is a good place of retur
Abdel Haleem: This is a lesson. The devout will have a good place to return to
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: This is a reminder. And lo! for those who ward off (evil) is a happy journey's end
The Letter Sad 38:55 Noun
هَـٰذَاۚ وَإِنَّ لِلطَّـٰغِینَ لَشَرَّ مَءَابࣲ ۝٥٥
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): This [is so]. But indeed, for the transgressors is an evil place of return
Abdel Haleem: But the evildoers will have the worst place to return to
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: This (is for the righteous). And lo! for the transgressors there with be an evil journey's end
The Family of Imran, The House of Imran 3:14 Noun
زُیِّنَ لِلنَّاسِ حُبُّ ٱلشَّهَوَ ٰتِ مِنَ ٱلنِّسَاۤءِ وَٱلۡبَنِینَ وَٱلۡقَنَـٰطِیرِ ٱلۡمُقَنطَرَةِ مِنَ ٱلذَّهَبِ وَٱلۡفِضَّةِ وَٱلۡخَیۡلِ ٱلۡمُسَوَّمَةِ وَٱلۡأَنۡعَـٰمِ وَٱلۡحَرۡثِۗ ذَ ٰلِكَ مَتَـٰعُ ٱلۡحَیَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنۡیَاۖ وَٱللَّهُ عِندَهُۥ حُسۡنُ ٱلۡمَءَابِ ۝١٤
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): Beautified for people is the love of that which they desire - of women and sons, heaped-up sums of gold and silver, fine branded horses, and cattle and tilled land. That is the enjoyment of worldly life, but Allah has with Him the best return
Abdel Haleem: The love of desirable things is made alluring for men- women, children, gold and silver treasures piled up high, horses with fine markings, livestock, and farmland- these may be the joys of this life, but God has the best place to return to
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Beautified for mankind is love of the joys (that come) from women and offspring; and stored-up heaps of gold and silver, and horses branded (with their mark), and cattle and land. That is comfort of the life of the world. Allah! With Him is a more excellent abode
The Letter Qaf 50:32 Noun
هَـٰذَا مَا تُوعَدُونَ لِكُلِّ أَوَّابٍ حَفِیظࣲ ۝٣٢
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): [It will be said], "This is what you were promised - for every returner [to Allah ] and keeper [of His covenant]
Abdel Haleem: ‘This is what you were promised––this is for everyone who turned often to God and kept Him in mind
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: (And it is said): This is that which ye were promised. (It is) for every penitent and heedful one
The Tidings, The Announcement 78:22 Noun
لِّلطَّاغِينَ مَآبًا
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): For the transgressors, a place of return
Abdel Haleem: a home for oppressor
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: A home for the rebellious
The Tidings, The Announcement 78:39 Noun
ذَٰلِكَ الْيَوْمُ الْحَقُّ فَمَن شَاءَ اتَّخَذَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِ مَآبًا
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): That is the True Day; so he who wills may take to his Lord a [way of] return
Abdel Haleem: That is the Day of Truth. So whoever wishes to do so should take the path that leads to his Lord
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: That is the True Day. So whoso will should seek recourse unto his Lord
The Overwhelming, The Overwhelming Calamity, The Pall 88:25 Noun
إِنَّ إِلَيْنَا إِيَابَهُمْ
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): Indeed, to Us is their return
Abdel Haleem: It is to Us they will return
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Lo! unto Us is their retur

Saba, Sheba 34:10 Verb
۞ وَلَقَدۡ ءَاتَیۡنَا دَاوُۥدَ مِنَّا فَضۡلࣰاۖ یَـٰجِبَالُ أَوِّبِی مَعَهُۥ وَٱلطَّیۡرَۖ وَأَلَنَّا لَهُ ٱلۡحَدِیدَ ۝١٠
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): And We certainly gave David from Us bounty. [We said], "O mountains, repeat [Our] praises with him, and the birds [as well]." And We made pliable for him iron
Abdel Haleem: We graced David with Our favour. We said, ‘You mountains, echo God’s praises together with him, and you birds, too.’ We softened iron for him
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: And assuredly We gave David grace from Us, (saying): O ye hills and birds, echo his psalms of praise! And We made the iron supple unto him
