وَحَفِظۡنَـٰهَا مِن كُلِّ شَیۡطَـٰنࣲ رَّجِیمٍ ۝١٧
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): And We have protected it from every devil expelled [from the mercy of Allah ]
Abdel Haleem: and guarded it from every stoned satan
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: And We have guarded it from every outcast devil

قَالَ فَٱخۡرُجۡ مِنۡهَا فَإِنَّكَ رَجِیمࣱ ۝٣٤
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): [ Allah ] said, "Then get out of it, for indeed, you are expelled
Abdel Haleem: ‘Get out of here!’ said God. ‘You are an outcast
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: He said: Then go thou forth from hence, for lo! thou art outcast
The Bee 16:98 Noun
فَإِذَا قَرَأۡتَ ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ فَٱسۡتَعِذۡ بِٱللَّهِ مِنَ ٱلشَّیۡطَـٰنِ ٱلرَّجِیمِ ۝٩٨
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): So when you recite the Qur'an, [first] seek refuge in Allah from Satan, the expelled [from His mercy]
Abdel Haleem: [Prophet], when you recite the Quran, seek God’s protection from the outcast, Satan
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: And when thou recitest the Qur'an, seek refuge in Allah from Satan the outcast
The Cave 18:22 Noun
سَیَقُولُونَ ثَلَـٰثَةࣱ رَّابِعُهُمۡ كَلۡبُهُمۡ وَیَقُولُونَ خَمۡسَةࣱ سَادِسُهُمۡ كَلۡبُهُمۡ رَجۡمَۢا بِٱلۡغَیۡبِۖ وَیَقُولُونَ سَبۡعَةࣱ وَثَامِنُهُمۡ كَلۡبُهُمۡۚ قُل رَّبِّیۤ أَعۡلَمُ بِعِدَّتِهِم مَّا یَعۡلَمُهُمۡ إِلَّا قَلِیلࣱۗ فَلَا تُمَارِ فِیهِمۡ إِلَّا مِرَاۤءࣰ ظَـٰهِرࣰا وَلَا تَسۡتَفۡتِ فِیهِم مِّنۡهُمۡ أَحَدࣰا ۝٢٢
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): They will say there were three, the fourth of them being their dog; and they will say there were five, the sixth of them being their dog - guessing at the unseen; and they will say there were seven, and the eighth of them was their dog. Say, [O Muhammad], "My Lord is most knowing of their number. None knows them except a few. So do not argue about them except with an obvious argument and do not inquire about them among [the speculators] from anyone."
Abdel Haleem: [Some] say, ‘The sleepers were three, and their dog made four,’ others say, ‘They were five, and the dog made six’- guessing in the dark- and some say, ‘They were seven, and their dog made eight.’ Say [Prophet], ‘My Lord knows best how many they were.’ Only a few have real knowledge about them, so do not argue, but stick to what is clear, and do not ask any of these people about them
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: (Some) will say: They were three, their dog the fourth, and (some) say: Five, their dog the sixth, guessing at random; and (some) say: Seven, and their dog the eighth. Say (O Muhammad): My Lord is Best Aware of their number. None knoweth them save a few. So contend not concerning them except with an outward contending, and ask not any of them to pronounce concerning them
The Poets 26:116 Noun
قَالُوا۟ لَىِٕن لَّمۡ تَنتَهِ یَـٰنُوحُ لَتَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلۡمَرۡجُومِینَ ۝١١٦
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): They said, "If you do not desist, O Noah, you will surely be of those who are stoned."
Abdel Haleem: So they said, ‘Noah, if you do not stop this, you will be stoned.’
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: They said: If thou cease not, O Noah, thou wilt surely be among those stoned (to death)
The Letter Sad 38:77 Noun
قَالَ فَٱخۡرُجۡ مِنۡهَا فَإِنَّكَ رَجِیمࣱ ۝٧٧
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): [ Allah ] said, "Then get out of Paradise, for indeed, you are expelled
Abdel Haleem: ‘Get out of here! You are rejected
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: He said: Go forth from hence, for lo! thou art outcast
The Family of Imran, The House of Imran 3:36 Noun
فَلَمَّا وَضَعَتۡهَا قَالَتۡ رَبِّ إِنِّی وَضَعۡتُهَاۤ أُنثَىٰ وَٱللَّهُ أَعۡلَمُ بِمَا وَضَعَتۡ وَلَیۡسَ ٱلذَّكَرُ كَٱلۡأُنثَىٰۖ وَإِنِّی سَمَّیۡتُهَا مَرۡیَمَ وَإِنِّیۤ أُعِیذُهَا بِكَ وَذُرِّیَّتَهَا مِنَ ٱلشَّیۡطَـٰنِ ٱلرَّجِیمِ ۝٣٦
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): But when she delivered her, she said, "My Lord, I have delivered a female." And Allah was most knowing of what she delivered, "And the male is not like the female. And I have named her Mary, and I seek refuge for her in You and [for] her descendants from Satan, the expelled [from the mercy of Allah ]."
Abdel Haleem: but when she gave birth, she said, ‘My Lord! I have given birth to a girl’- God knew best what she had given birth to: the male is not like the female- ‘ I name her Mary and I commend her and her offspring to Your protection from the rejected Satan.’
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: And when she was delivered she said: My Lord! Lo! I am delivered of a female - Allah knew best of what she was delivered - the male is not as the female; and lo! I have named her Mary, and lo! I crave Thy protection for her and for her offspring from Satan the outcast
The Sovereignty, Control, The Kingdom 67:5 Noun
وَلَقَدۡ زَیَّنَّا ٱلسَّمَاۤءَ ٱلدُّنۡیَا بِمَصَـٰبِیحَ وَجَعَلۡنَـٰهَا رُجُومࣰا لِّلشَّیَـٰطِینِۖ وَأَعۡتَدۡنَا لَهُمۡ عَذَابَ ٱلسَّعِیرِ ۝٥
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): And We have certainly beautified the nearest heaven with stars and have made [from] them what is thrown at the devils and have prepared for them the punishment of the Blaze
Abdel Haleem: We have adorned the lowest heaven with lamps and made them [missiles] for stoning devils for whom We have also prepared the torment of a blazing fire
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: And verily We have beautified the world's heaven with lamps, and We have made them missiles for the devils, and for them We have prepared the doom of flame
The Overthrowing, The Cessation 81:25 Noun
وَمَا هُوَ بِقَوْلِ شَيْطَانٍ رَّجِيمٍ
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): And the Qur'an is not the word of a devil, expelled [from the heavens]
Abdel Haleem: This is not the word of an outcast devil
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Nor is this the utterance of a devil worthy to be stoned

Hud 11:91 Verb
قَالُوا۟ یَـٰشُعَیۡبُ مَا نَفۡقَهُ كَثِیرࣰا مِّمَّا تَقُولُ وَإِنَّا لَنَرَىٰكَ فِینَا ضَعِیفࣰاۖ وَلَوۡلَا رَهۡطُكَ لَرَجَمۡنَـٰكَۖ وَمَاۤ أَنتَ عَلَیۡنَا بِعَزِیزࣲ ۝٩١
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): They said, "O Shu'ayb, we do not understand much of what you say, and indeed, we consider you among us as weak. And if not for your family, we would have stoned you [to death]; and you are not to us one respected."
Abdel Haleem: They said, ‘Shuayb, we do not understand much of what you say, and we find you very weak in our midst. But for your family, we would have stoned you, for you have no great status among us.’
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: They said: O Shu'eyb! We understand not much of that thou tellest, and lo! we do behold thee weak among us. But for thy family, we should have stoned thee, for thou art not strong against us
The Cave 18:20 Verb
إِنَّهُمۡ إِن یَظۡهَرُوا۟ عَلَیۡكُمۡ یَرۡجُمُوكُمۡ أَوۡ یُعِیدُوكُمۡ فِی مِلَّتِهِمۡ وَلَن تُفۡلِحُوۤا۟ إِذًا أَبَدࣰا ۝٢٠
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): Indeed, if they come to know of you, they will stone you or return you to their religion. And never would you succeed, then - ever."
Abdel Haleem: if they found you out, they would stone you or force you to return to their religion, where you would never come to any good.’
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: For they, if they should come to know of you, will stone you or turn you back to their religion; then ye will never prosper
Mary 19:46 Verb
قَالَ أَرَاغِبٌ أَنتَ عَنۡ ءَالِهَتِی یَـٰۤإِبۡرَ ٰهِیمُۖ لَىِٕن لَّمۡ تَنتَهِ لَأَرۡجُمَنَّكَۖ وَٱهۡجُرۡنِی مَلِیࣰّا ۝٤٦
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): [His father] said, "Have you no desire for my gods, O Abraham? If you do not desist, I will surely stone you, so avoid me a prolonged time."
Abdel Haleem: His father answered, ‘Abraham, do you reject my gods? I will stone you if you do not stop this. Keep out of my way!’
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: He said: Rejectest thou my gods, O Abraham? If thou cease not, I shall surely stone thee. Depart from me a long while
Ya Sin, Ya-Seen 36:18 Verb
قَالُوۤا۟ إِنَّا تَطَیَّرۡنَا بِكُمۡۖ لَىِٕن لَّمۡ تَنتَهُوا۟ لَنَرۡجُمَنَّكُمۡ وَلَیَمَسَّنَّكُم مِّنَّا عَذَابٌ أَلِیمࣱ ۝١٨
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): They said, "Indeed, we consider you a bad omen. If you do not desist, we will surely stone you, and there will surely touch you, from us, a painful punishment."
Abdel Haleem: but they answered, ‘We think you are an evil omen. If you do not stop, we shall stone you, and inflict a painful torment on you.’
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: (The people of the city) said: We augur ill of you. If ye desist not, we shall surely stone you, and grievous torture will befall you at our hands
Smoke, The Evident Smoke 44:20 Verb
وَإِنِّی عُذۡتُ بِرَبِّی وَرَبِّكُمۡ أَن تَرۡجُمُونِ ۝٢٠
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): And indeed, I have sought refuge in my Lord and your Lord, lest you stone me
Abdel Haleem: I seek refuge in my Lord and yours against your insults
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: And lo! I have sought refuge in my Lord and your Lord lest ye stone me to death
