Noun
وَأَقِمِ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ طَرَفَیِ ٱلنَّهَارِ وَزُلَفࣰا مِّنَ ٱلَّیۡلِۚ إِنَّ ٱلۡحَسَنَـٰتِ یُذۡهِبۡنَ ٱلسَّیِّءَاتِۚ ذَ ٰلِكَ ذِكۡرَىٰ لِلذَّ ٰكِرِینَ ١١٤
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International):
And establish prayer at the two ends of the day and at the approach of the night. Indeed, good deeds do away with misdeeds. That is a reminder for those who remember
Abdel Haleem:
[Prophet], keep up the prayer at both ends of the day, and during parts of the night, for good things drive bad away- this is a reminder for those who are aware
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall:
Establish worship at the two ends of the day and in some watches of the night. Lo! good deeds annul ill-deeds. This is reminder for the mindful
Saba, Sheba 34:37
Noun
وَمَاۤ أَمۡوَ ٰلُكُمۡ وَلَاۤ أَوۡلَـٰدُكُم بِٱلَّتِی تُقَرِّبُكُمۡ عِندَنَا زُلۡفَىٰۤ إِلَّا مَنۡ ءَامَنَ وَعَمِلَ صَـٰلِحࣰا فَأُو۟لَـٰۤىِٕكَ لَهُمۡ جَزَاۤءُ ٱلضِّعۡفِ بِمَا عَمِلُوا۟ وَهُمۡ فِی ٱلۡغُرُفَـٰتِ ءَامِنُونَ ٣٧
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International):
And it is not your wealth or your children that bring you nearer to Us in position, but it is [by being] one who has believed and done righteousness. For them there will be the double reward for what they did, and they will be in the upper chambers [of Paradise], safe [and secure]
Abdel Haleem:
Neither wealth nor children will bring you nearer to Us, but those who believe and do good deeds will have multiple rewards for what they have done, and will live safely in the lofty dwellings of Paradise
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall:
And it is not your wealth nor your children that will bring you near unto Us, but he who believeth and doeth good (he draweth near). As for such, theirs will be twofold reward for what they did and they will dwell secure in lofty halls
The Letter Sad 38:25
Noun
فَغَفَرۡنَا لَهُۥ ذَ ٰلِكَۖ وَإِنَّ لَهُۥ عِندَنَا لَزُلۡفَىٰ وَحُسۡنَ مَءَابࣲ ٢٥
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International):
So We forgave him that; and indeed, for him is nearness to Us and a good place of return
Abdel Haleem:
We forgave him [his misdeed]. His reward will be nearness to Us, a good place to return to
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall:
So We forgave him that; and lo! he had access to Our presence and a happy journey's end
The Letter Sad 38:40
Noun
وَإِنَّ لَهُۥ عِندَنَا لَزُلۡفَىٰ وَحُسۡنَ مَءَابࣲ ٤٠
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International):
And indeed, for him is nearness to Us and a good place of return
Abdel Haleem:
His reward will be nearness to Us, and a good place to return to

And lo! he hath favour with Us, and a happy journey's end
أَلَا لِلَّهِ ٱلدِّینُ ٱلۡخَالِصُۚ وَٱلَّذِینَ ٱتَّخَذُوا۟ مِن دُونِهِۦۤ أَوۡلِیَاۤءَ مَا نَعۡبُدُهُمۡ إِلَّا لِیُقَرِّبُونَاۤ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ زُلۡفَىٰۤ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ یَحۡكُمُ بَیۡنَهُمۡ فِی مَا هُمۡ فِیهِ یَخۡتَلِفُونَۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا یَهۡدِی مَنۡ هُوَ كَـٰذِبࣱ كَفَّارࣱ ٣
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International):
Unquestionably, for Allah is the pure religion. And those who take protectors besides Him [say], "We only worship them that they may bring us nearer to Allah in position." Indeed, Allah will judge between them concerning that over which they differ. Indeed, Allah does not guide he who is a liar and [confirmed] disbeliever
Abdel Haleem:
true devotion is due to God alone. [As for] those who choose other protectors beside Him, saying, ‘We only worship them because they bring us nearer to God,’ God Himself will judge between them regarding their differences. God does not guide any ungrateful liar
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall:
Surely pure religion is for Allah only. And those who choose protecting friends beside Him (say): We worship them only that they may bring us near unto Allah. Lo! Allah will judge between them concerning that wherein they differ. Lo! Allah guideth not him who is a liar, an ingrate
فَلَمَّا رَأَوۡهُ زُلۡفَةࣰ سِیۤءَتۡ وُجُوهُ ٱلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوا۟ وَقِیلَ هَـٰذَا ٱلَّذِی كُنتُم بِهِۦ تَدَّعُونَ ٢٧
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International):
But when they see it approaching, the faces of those who disbelieve will be distressed, and it will be said, "This is that for which you used to call."
Abdel Haleem:
When they see it close at hand, the disbelievers’ faces will be gloomy, and it will be said, ‘This is what you were calling for.’
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall:
But when they see it nigh, the faces of those who disbelieve will be awry, and it will be said (unto them): This is that for which ye used to call

The Poets 26:64
Verb
وَأَزۡلَفۡنَا ثَمَّ ٱلۡءَاخَرِینَ ٦٤
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International):
And We advanced thereto the pursuers
Abdel Haleem:
and We brought the others to that place

Then brought We near the others to that place
The Poets 26:90
Verb
وَأُزۡلِفَتِ ٱلۡجَنَّةُ لِلۡمُتَّقِینَ ٩٠

And Paradise will be brought near [that Day] to the righteous

When the Garden is brought near to the righteou

And the Garden will be brought nigh for those who ward off (evil)
The Letter Qaf 50:31
Verb
وَأُزۡلِفَتِ ٱلۡجَنَّةُ لِلۡمُتَّقِینَ غَیۡرَ بَعِیدٍ ٣١
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International):
And Paradise will be brought near to the righteous, not far
Abdel Haleem:
But Paradise will be brought close to the righteous and will no longer be distant

And the Garden is brought nigh for those who kept from evil, no longer distant
وَإِذَا الْجَنَّةُ أُزْلِفَتْ
