Noun
وَلَا یَزَالُ ٱلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوا۟ فِی مِرۡیَةࣲ مِّنۡهُ حَتَّىٰ تَأۡتِیَهُمُ ٱلسَّاعَةُ بَغۡتَةً أَوۡ یَأۡتِیَهُمۡ عَذَابُ یَوۡمٍ عَقِیمٍ ٥٥
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International):
But those who disbelieve will not cease to be in doubt of it until the Hour comes upon them unexpectedly or there comes to them the punishment of a barren Day
Abdel Haleem:
The disbelievers will remain in doubt about it until the Hour suddenly overpowers them or until torment descends on them on a Day devoid of all hope
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall:
And those who disbelieve will not cease to be in doubt thereof until the Hour come upon them unawares, or there come unto them the doom of a disastrous day
أَوۡ یُزَوِّجُهُمۡ ذُكۡرَانࣰا وَإِنَـٰثࣰاۖ وَیَجۡعَلُ مَن یَشَاۤءُ عَقِیمًاۚ إِنَّهُۥ عَلِیمࣱ قَدِیرࣱ ٥٠
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International):
Or He makes them [both] males and females, and He renders whom He wills barren. Indeed, He is Knowing and Competent
Abdel Haleem:
male to whoever He will, or both male and female, and He makes whoever He will barren: He is all knowing and all powerful
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall:
Or He mingleth them, males and females, and He maketh barren whom He will. Lo! He is Knower, Powerful
فَأَقۡبَلَتِ ٱمۡرَأَتُهُۥ فِی صَرَّةࣲ فَصَكَّتۡ وَجۡهَهَا وَقَالَتۡ عَجُوزٌ عَقِیمࣱ ٢٩
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International):
And his wife approached with a cry [of alarm] and struck her face and said, "[I am] a barren old woman!"
Abdel Haleem:
His wife then entered with a loud cry, struck her face, and said, ‘A barren old woman?’
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall:
Then his wife came forward, making moan, and smote her face, and cried: A barren old woman
وَفِی عَادٍ إِذۡ أَرۡسَلۡنَا عَلَیۡهِمُ ٱلرِّیحَ ٱلۡعَقِیمَ ٤١
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International):
And in 'Aad [was a sign], when We sent against them the barren wind

There is another sign in the Ad: We sent the life-destroying wind against the
