وَلَا یَزَالُ ٱلَّذِینَ كَفَرُوا۟ فِی مِرۡیَةࣲ مِّنۡهُ حَتَّىٰ تَأۡتِیَهُمُ ٱلسَّاعَةُ بَغۡتَةً أَوۡ یَأۡتِیَهُمۡ عَذَابُ یَوۡمٍ عَقِیمٍ ۝٥٥
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): But those who disbelieve will not cease to be in doubt of it until the Hour comes upon them unexpectedly or there comes to them the punishment of a barren Day
Abdel Haleem: The disbelievers will remain in doubt about it until the Hour suddenly overpowers them or until torment descends on them on a Day devoid of all hope
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: And those who disbelieve will not cease to be in doubt thereof until the Hour come upon them unawares, or there come unto them the doom of a disastrous day
Council, Consultation, The Counsel 42:50 Noun
أَوۡ یُزَوِّجُهُمۡ ذُكۡرَانࣰا وَإِنَـٰثࣰاۖ وَیَجۡعَلُ مَن یَشَاۤءُ عَقِیمًاۚ إِنَّهُۥ عَلِیمࣱ قَدِیرࣱ ۝٥٠
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): Or He makes them [both] males and females, and He renders whom He wills barren. Indeed, He is Knowing and Competent
Abdel Haleem: male to whoever He will, or both male and female, and He makes whoever He will barren: He is all knowing and all powerful
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Or He mingleth them, males and females, and He maketh barren whom He will. Lo! He is Knower, Powerful
The Winnowing Winds, The Scatterers 51:29 Noun
فَأَقۡبَلَتِ ٱمۡرَأَتُهُۥ فِی صَرَّةࣲ فَصَكَّتۡ وَجۡهَهَا وَقَالَتۡ عَجُوزٌ عَقِیمࣱ ۝٢٩
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): And his wife approached with a cry [of alarm] and struck her face and said, "[I am] a barren old woman!"
Abdel Haleem: His wife then entered with a loud cry, struck her face, and said, ‘A barren old woman?’
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall: Then his wife came forward, making moan, and smote her face, and cried: A barren old woman
The Winnowing Winds, The Scatterers 51:41 Noun
وَفِی عَادٍ إِذۡ أَرۡسَلۡنَا عَلَیۡهِمُ ٱلرِّیحَ ٱلۡعَقِیمَ ۝٤١
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International): And in 'Aad [was a sign], when We sent against them the barren wind
